Giving A Real Thug Kisses #1

Giving A Real Thug Kisses

Rate this book
Being a BBW has never been easy for Reagan growing up, but that never stopped her confidence either. Reagan knew she was fine from the thickness of her thighs to her caramel complexion baby doll face. Because of that, she never had a problem getting a man and she knew how to finesse them and leave them until she met her match. Blaq has the looks that every hood girl dreamed of, from his dark chocolate skin, to his mouth full of gold slugs. One thing he didn’t play about was his heart and his respect. When the love of his life Indy shows that she couldn’t be trusted, Blaq is forced to show her just how quick those tables could turn by turning someone else’s trash into his treasure. Blaq is busy chasing the streets and love cause when it’s time to go legit, he rather spend his life with a down chick. Ahnesti thought she found love in Trent, but realizes just how badly she had been played after tragedy strikes. Ahnesti thought she hit the jackpot when she lucked up on Trent’s money, but the collection man cut her dreams short. Buddah wasn’t a force to be reckoned with and Ahnesti learns that first hand. However, she can’t help but to be drawn to the thug in him despite the awkward circumstances. Justice is caught between two women while running his street business and trying to focus on investing to become legit. Married to Paris, he only wants to make sure she’s straight and taken care of. On the other hand, he can’t walk away from Skyy. Although he doesn’t love her, he loves what she does for him, which were things that that Paris wasn’t willing to do. Find out the importance of making sure you’re giving your kisses to a real thug in this fast pace read.

3.75...it started very slow and the pace didnt pick up till the last 10% I will say that I'm ready for book two...
Indy I have no words for how low you went...(I dont want to give away)
Poor Paris...I want so much more for her...I really enjoy the friendship of Reg and Ati. Also Buddah and Blaq may be book bae... I hope that book2 has a bit more tempo and pace, but I am going to be reading. So give it a try.

Wow Wow Wow!!!

This was good fast paced story and while I’m not really surprised that Blaq and Buddha turned in their player cards per se, I guess I was kind shocked more so at Buddha because of his trust no woman mantra. Now between Justice and Indy I don’t know has more audacity and if we don’t see her anymore I’ll be happy.

Shook!!

That party and the mess. Omg. Indy and Skyy are raggedy. Justice too. This is a mess. And I’m LIVING. But Reagan and Blaq original meeting was crazy.

The plot/storyline is amazing. The execution? Not so much. In the spam of a couple of hours I went from almost DNFing one book to almost DNFing this book. I ain’t never had bad luck like this.

As a reader, I only care for 2 people— the main characters. Why the heck is there 6 different point of views??? No ma’am. No ma’am. I almost dropped it because of that but like I said, the plot kept me interested.

Mind you I’ve read a book with other point of views but that was only after, the story with the main characters was already in development. I’m trying to get to know the lives of the 2 main charters first before everybody else.

And what kills me is that all the characters in the story is interesting to the point that they can have their own book.

Buddah & Justice should have their own book.

Also I don’t mind errors here and there but there were a lot of stupid mistakes that should have been caught even by the author herself if she would take the time to reread her work out loud.

I feel like Buddah is going to let my girl in his heart but then shut down again after his sis dies! I hope Blacq loves Reagan like she deserves!!! O'Boy Nitt you already know Mrs. ST. Wonderful story

This is a good book to read. I enjoyed the characters they're well developed, and the storyline flows seamlessly. Three best friends, more like brothers. Finding and keeping love and making moves in the streets. Blaq, Justice, and Buddha, these aren't the guys to play with. I enjoyed reading this book. I'm looking forward to reading book 2.

Must Read

Ahnesti should've known before Trent was killed that she was the side chick. He never took her around anyone. She was never introduced to any of his family or friends. Hell her best friend Reagan tried to warn her but Ahnesti had to learn the hard way. I couldn't do anything but shake my head and laugh at how Ahnesti acted at Trent Funeral. Ahnesti thought she was going to keep the money Trent left behind until Buddah and Blaq showed up at her door. I can see why Buddha is closed off and don't let anyone get closed to him except his best friends Blaq and Justice. He have a lot going on in his personal life when it comes to his mother and little sister. However Ahnesti have him intrigued. The way Quan was described had me cracking up because everybody called him ugly. I was trying to see what Reagan saw in him but after he pretty much saved her from an abusive situation with her ex. It was understandable but Quan ended up becoming abusive too after Reagan left him for being disrespectful. Quan putting his hand's on Reagan in the club was a huge mistake but for some reason. I don't think his brother is going to let it go. Indy seemed sneaky from the beginning. I don't see how Blaq missed the red flag's but he seems to catch on after he saw this was his second baby she aborted. It's who Indy was cheating on him with that left my jaw dropping. Indy is trifling and scandalous as hell. I don't care how much you love a man. Once you know he's cheating and continue to cheat as well as have the hoe he's cheating with popping up at places. He no longer respect you are y'all marriage. Justice can say he love Paris in four different languages but his actions show different. He had Skyy feeling like she was entitled to the same benefits as Paris.

giving a real thug kisses was a cool read, but for me it landed right at a 3/5.
i think my biggest issue out the gate was the amount of povs and moving pieces for a first book. it was a lot to keep up with, especially on audio — i had to rewind a few times just to make sure i knew who was who and which situation i was in. once things settled, it made more sense, but it definitely took a minute to get grounded.
character-wise… whew. ahnesti cannot be as slow as she was moving. at some point, you had to realize you were the mistress, friend 😭. that said, i actually like buddah for her — but buddah seems like he runs a very strict program, and i’m curious to see how that plays out. indy? dirty. ditzy. no morals whatsoever for what she did to blaq, because you knew better and still moved how you moved.
reagan, though… i like her. she feels like a good match for blaq, especially knowing quan isn’t gonna be around long. quan turning into a completely different person was exactly what reagan was trying to escape when she left braylen, and somehow she still ended up circling the same type of chaos. speaking of braylen — throw him on the list. nitt can go right with him. and justice? yeah, he absolutely belongs there too. the way he’s doing paris, knowing she doesn’t deserve any of that, was wild and unnecessary.
overall, the story has potential and the drama is there, but the pacing and the number of characters made it feel a little heavy for a first installment. i’m interested enough to keep going, but i’m hoping book two tightens things up and lets the characters really shine without so much overlap.

Must Read

I love how Ahnesti (Honesty) name is spelled. It's cute and unique. However I don't see how she overlooked the red flag's with Trent before he was killed but having a run in with Buddha. May be good for her and him. Buddha never been in a relationship and Ahnesti was unknowingly a side chick. Quan is a jackass. I understand why Reagan gave him a chance because he was able to get her out of a abusive relationship but the moment she chose not to kiss his ass and put up with his disrespect. Quan turned into another person. Indy is trifling. I figured she was cheating on Blaq in the beginning but who she's cheating with shows she have no loyalty or morals. Nitt is trifling as well and him and his son relationship may not ever be the same. I'm surprised Blaq was able to keep it in when he found out about what Indy was up too. I believe meeting and hanging with Reagan had Blaq calmly dismissing Indy. Reagan checked the hell out of Indy though. I believe Skyy did get pregnant on purpose thinking she was going to have Justice the way she wanted. Paris is a good woman and Justice messed up his marriage. He should've just been brutally honest with Paris and told her the truth before Indy bitter and jealous ass did.

S. Yvonne you got real messy in this book and I am here for it…

It’s about to go down in part 2 and I can’t wait., This crew has so much drama brewing I don’t know where to start. Reagan is my girl she is so full of life and her confidence is on ten she does not let anybody make her feel less than because she is a BBW. Blaq is bae and is exactly what Reagan needs because baby his girl India is straight trash and belong to the streets, I was glad when he gave her those walking papers. Buddah and Ahnesti are a match made in heaven. He is so laid back and chill and she is a live wire so seeing their situation progress is going to be fun to watch. Justice has made a mess in his marriage to Paris and I am not sure if they can come back from it. It’s one thing to cheat and your wife forgives you but it’s another t have to live with a constant reminder of your infidelity for life. However I do love them together so hopefully they can with it out but we shall see of course I definitely don’t want her to make it easy for him he needs to suffer for a while.

It’s giving MOVIE!!!!

If you want to have non-stop action from page 1, READ. THIS. BOOK!!!!

Off the rip, Blaq is ice cold. The prince to a cartel empire he can do anything he wants and have any woman he wants, but he chooses to be with Indy. She however is a snake in the grass if you ever seen one. All he wants is someone to be solid with him and he finds that in Reagan who has had her fair share of heartbreaks.

Justice is married to Paris but caught up with Skyy. When Skyy can’t catch a hint that he’ll never leave his wife, she decides to cage him in until all hell breaks loose.

Buddah never lets any woman get close to him, until he has an encounter with Ahnesti. Ahnesti is a firecracker who has been played by the one man she thought loved her only to find out it was all a lie. Yet, Buddah wants to learn how to love if she’s willing to teach him.

I’m making a mad dash to download book 2 because I’m waiting for Paris to drag Justice through the mud and show Skyy why she held position as WIFE!

WOW

This book was absolutely great from page one, it flowed very well as each character story was unfolding and entanglements being revealed. I knew Indie was no good but what she was doing was so deceitful as well as disloyal. You have to just love Blacq's mom she was indeed a true classy gangsta. Justin cared for Sky but not for the right reasons and because of it he got caught up and may just loose the best thing in his life, I hope Reagan caught up with Paris and helped her to calm down before she ended up in the Hospital and Justin would truly be out of luck with trying to make things right. Ahnesti was a little ghetto with her mouth at times but she was a true ride or die friend having not only Reagan but Paris back even after just meeting, I hope Buddah can open up and allow her in to heal and love him. Great first book.

need part two asap

I don’t know how I missed this book because I would have remembered this book. When I tell you sis didn’t come to play she didn’t come to play. I really hope justice can get Paris to forgive him because honestly he did everything he could expect drug the bitch which is what I would have done. I hope the twins make it and Sky loss her baby. However I know it won’t happen but hopefully it will show her a baby won’t keep a man especially when you’re a side chick. blac and Buddah I love them and their energy so hope they can get my girl to fall in love with them.

Wow!!

Loved it!
I didn’t read the original version but baaaabyyy the drama, lies, and betrayal had me on edge! Paris is loyal asl to her husband and was even willing to overlook his infidelity but when Justice commits the ultimate betrayal—What’s the saying “you don’t know what you have till it’s gone”..Justice messed up big time and deserves whatever is coming to his azz! As for my girls Ahnesti (spell check) and Raegan, I love them! I hope their future with their new boos are everything that they deserve and MORE! Listen, don’t walk, run and download this page turner! Trust, you won’t be disappointed!

Thug Kisses

I'm enjoying the couples, the drama and trifling people in their lives is real! Indy, whew daddy and son just getting to know her! Justice is going to mess around and lose Paris, and Buddah need to open his heart, because he and Ahnesti could be a strong couple. Sickness in a family has a way of tearing down a family, but Buddah is handling his situation quite well. Reagan is a fire cracker and just what Justice need in his life for real, especially when he experience betrayal. I love the mother's , they are strong and nothing to play with, but their sons have the utmost respect for them! Stuff about to hit the fan in part 2!

Honey...

Blaq, Buddah, Justice, Regan, Ahnesti, Paris, Skyy and Indy...this was an amazing introduction to some characters I can't wait to see more of. Mrs. St. Patrick was THAT WOMAN! She said, it ain't about me, you messed over my baby boy. What could Nitt do? Man, this book had me holding on because I didn't know what was coming next. Justice, it's like you want to feel bad for him, but then you realize nah you did this to yourself. I am glad that I can devour all the books because this one leaves you hanging. I know book 2 about to be bananas! Off I go, enjoy. Happy Reading Y'all!💋

Goodread

This was good. I don't feel sorry for Justice at alllllllll. I'm more hurt for Paris because she didn't deserve this, but I will say she shouldn't have accepted the cheating in the first place. She should've known her worth. I'm so feeling Blaq and Reagan lil situation because they compliment each other. Ahnesti and her mouth be having me laughing all the time, but I feel as though Buddah will be the right one to tame her, but he also gotta let her in. Oh, and I still feel like Quan and Bray might still be a problem for Reagan, but I can't wait and see.

This was wild!

So many secrets, so many lies. Blaq and Buddah are ready to step away from the game but with no one to share this with, would they be ok? Ahnesti and Reagan were in messed up situations too but just when it looked bleak, here's these two, how will this all end up? Indy is trifling and so is Nitt and Mrs. St. Patrick is not to be played with! Justice and Paris whew what will happen next! And Skyy what was she thinking! Can't wait to dive into Part Two, this is crazy!!! Great read!

Can you say awkward. First of all Indy ol nasty behind, his damn daddy though..... you couldn’t cheat with nobody else you pick this man daddy. That’s just straight up sleazy. Now I’m all for blaq being with Reagan, he just better do her right. So for Ahnesti and Buddah, they seem like they could be good together.
Ol skyy dumb self. Yo sister put you up on game but noooooo you just had to try and get this girl husband.

Let it make sense, the story line of all her books are good, but who is editing these books?

The incorrect spelling, word choice, grammar, and calling characters different names, makes it really hard to enjoy the books. I have struggled through reading 8 of her books in the last three days, one would ask why? Because the story lines/ideas are good. At this point I am left wondering, is S. Yvonne using an editor who is blind and is the struggle worth it?

Whewww, there was a lot to unpack in this book. Lots of storylines to follow & lots of drama! This book moved slow & really didn’t pick up until closer to the end. Of course when I was really getting into it, it ended 😂

I’m rooting for Blaq & Reagan and Buddah & Ahnesti. Now, Justice ion know how you goin make it up to Paris but you better figure it out! Indy, baby, you went lower than hell & moved hella shiesty! Can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Whenever I can't seem to find anything new to read, I can always count on a hood fiction novel to keep me entertained! And baby, this one right here was some kind of good! There are three friends who are leaving the street life and opening a trucking company. Each one has their own issues they're trying to work through, all while trying to build or maintain their relationships with the women in their lives. Blaq and Reagan and their budding relationship was cute, but Ahnesti and Buddah were my favorite couple. Ahnesti is hood fabulous but her name describes her to a tee! Girlfriend had no filter and kept it real all the time. Poor Buddah didn't know what he was getting himself into, but he knew she was the one. I loved how the author wrote Justice and Paris. They're the married couple of the crew and have gone through a LOT, due to Justice, but Paris isn't letting anything slide. Justice quickly learned that being forgiven wasn't going to be easy. This is part one of a trilogy and I'm ready for Part 2.

Come on Book 2!

Wow, Chile! This book is absolutely on fire! Indy really made some questionable choices—sleeping with his dad? What was she thinking?! And then there’s Justice, toying with Paris's feelings. I really hope she takes a break from him to make him sweat a bit! Reagan and Blaq were sizzling! That scene? Total heatwave! I’m dying to see more of them, plus Buddha and his girl—can’t wait to see where their story goes!

Okay was straight drama from start to finish literally and I loved it! Justice, Blaq, and Buddah are trying to leave the streets behind, but of course, love and loyalty get messy real quick.

Justice had me side-eyeing him with all the back and forth between Paris and Skyy. Blaq's situation with Indy was wild, and I was rooting for Reagan from the moment she stepped in. And Buddah? He surprised me the most—his connection with Ahnesti was unexpected but real.
