Kinley Cooper was a lot of things – beautiful, athletic, and a little bit eclectic from her green eyes down to her red-painted toenails. She was also a seasoned Coast Guard criminal investigator who more than held her own with in the male dominated field. When she’s paired with NCIS Agent Beau Jerrot, you have to wonder if the sparks in the air is from her smoldering anger of being treated like a junior agent, the sexual tension between them that was about to combust or the terrorists they were trying to neutralize.
The chase took them to the Bahamas where Kinley had a job to do – one she was damn competent at doing. To Agent Jerrot, nothing came before keeping Kinley safe. Kinley was not going to be sidelined from her own case. The terrorist's trail takes them deeper south and into more and more danger. In between gun shots, kidnappings, and chasing bad guys, they find their way into each other's arms, eventually. Kinley breaks the case and Beau breaks everything in his path to save her.
Zoe Dawson drags you into these characters and makes it impossible to put the book down. Another home run!
