TITAN is up for a Whitney Award for the year 2020. The Numberless have fallen, leaving a power vacuum that is tempting to even the most honorable Validated. Political factions rise and fall in dramatic fashion, creating chaos and disorder. None of that matters to Cojax and Jessica, who know better than most that the Decamont are coming to slay them all. As their perfect city begins to crumble before ambitious and powerful Acadians, and as the ever-looming threat of the true enemy closes in, Cojax and Jessica realize that the revolution may be over, but the war has just begun.
Writing is not just a hobby for me, but a life-long passion. Since 1999, I’ve spent countless hours writing, editing, reviewing, and re-writing other author’s books as well as several full-length novels of my own.
I’ll be honest with you; the road has been rough. I’ve almost given up writing for good a few times. But I keep coming back to it, thanks in large part to the support of my readers. In my darkest days, or after some of my biggest setbacks, a quick letter from a fan or two has changed everything. And I am so grateful for your support. Now, I am more committed to writing than ever.
One of my favorite past times is reading the manuscripts or novels by struggling or upcoming authors. There is a fantastic community of writers out there who look to build others up rather than tear them down. And if I can help you along with your journey of being a full-time author, please let me know. I think the more writers we have out there, the better off all of us will be.
I absolutely love the creative process. I get tremendous satisfaction when I create characters who seem so real that a reader expects to be able to meet them one day. Or when I manufacture a landscape so compelling that someone feels tempted to plan a visit to that location during summer vacation. But the real joy for me is constructing situations where the protagonist has hard choices to make, where internal conflicts are so intense, it makes the reader second guess exactly what they would do if they faced those same dilemmas.
A fantastic adventure! If you loved Pierce Brown’s Red Rising series, you’ll enjoy Titan. Same political intrigue. Same interesting scientific weapons and armor. Same intense battles minus all the blood and violence. A great read.
First, a huge thank you to Sterling Nixon for providing me with an audiobook ARC of this book.
If you haven't read the first book, Acadia, you're seriously missing out. This fantasy series feels incredibly underrated and deserves far more attention from fantasy readers.
This second installment expands the world beautifully without slowing the pacing. I especially enjoyed seeing what happens after a major battle when freedom has supposedly been won. As this story shows, victory doesn't always bring the outcome everyone hopes for. And that ending... wow. What a way to completely break my heart while keeping me on the edge of my seat for the final hour. The emotional impact hit hard. If you enjoy epic warriors, dangerous enemies, impossible choices, and twists around every corner, this series is absolutely worth your time.
Euan Morton once again delivers an outstanding narration that elevated the entire experience.
"He was just a man kneeling in the wreckage of everything he had tried to save."
This is a good book! If you like politics, it will probably be the greatest book ever. It is very thorough in its explanation and exploration of creating a new system. Each of the characters is fighting for something, and I found myself agreeing with all of it, even though the views were drastically different. I didn’t, however, like the sudden shift in Titan. This occurred in the first book, but the praise he received in this book was a little too much. He wasn’t introduced as this amazing person, and it just seems like too much. In my personal opinion, Cojax seems way too calm and collected for being fresh out of the Maghetto and being Lord of Titan, a city of millions of people. This ties back to Titan, but I think that the city’s full trust in Titan is silly. He was a leader, yes, but many of the Numberless were cruel and evil. I’m being quite nit picky, as it was really well written and a wonderful story. I would definitely read it again. The characters are great.
Great read. Very excited to discover this author, as all of his books are layered and complex. Cojax and Jessica are complicated individuals who have to make difficult decisions where there are no absolutely right answers. I really enjoyed that the book takes the time to relisticly go through the formation of the governmnt. It took some time, but it made one of the partidulr conflicts very powerful. I wish there was an audible book--as I don't usually read books anymore. Author send that there would be an audible book. So, I am very excited about that as well.
This is an awesome book. The first book was good, but this added something extra special that is rarely seen in books. The autur does a good job creating real, conflicted characters, who are flawed, but still likeable. There are also some humorous and endearing moments that were rather surprising. It ends in a way I did not expect, but I am very excited to read the third book, Charron.
Now this one is truly epic. This series is really starting to catch on fire. Great political intrigue mixed with funny, flawed characters. A story of rebellion, love, loyalty, and something extra I can't put my finger on.
If you want a book with political intrigue, this novel delivers. Epic battle scenes and witty conversation, what more could you ask for. I am excited for the next one!
