All the time spent driving a tractor gave him plenty of opportunity to let his imagination run wild and not tear up too much equipment. The two passions he developed early in life were the love of playing guitar and reading books.
He eventually moved to a mini-farm outside of Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his wife and replaced planting corn with trees and raising dogs. For a number of years he worked as an IT consultant and continued with being a part-time musician and songwriter. He dabbled in writing short stories with the idea in the back of his mind that someday he would write a novel. One Christmas after watching "A Christmas Carol", he was inspired to begin his journey as a novelist.

A WESTERN THAT IS AN ENJOYABLE READ FOR ALL WESTERN LOVERS OF ALL AGES

This second book is full of family interaction and relationships than that of the first book. Please don't get me wrong. The in-depth look into the relationships between Boone and his father, Jenny, Wendell, and Kelly, and even Logan, Lily, Emma, and Elliot works in building up their characters' profiles leaving you feeling as if you know each of them just a little more.
The tough decisions when it comes to family will most definitely make you stop and think if you would do the same if you were in their shoes. Even with the loss of some, additional characters are added that bring more to the table in depth and content and all the characters are ones that will keep you involved in the storyline and once you've finished this second book in the series you'll find yourself starting the third and final book before the second one even gets cold.
There is still plenty of action, adventure, and suspense to more than keep your interest throughout, and with some of the mind-blowing twists will leave you waiting more just to see how the Youngbloods, Thurgoods, Harts, Conklins, and the rest of the townsfolk in Trinidad, Colorado.
I have really enjoyed this book and the first book in this series and hope you too will find yourself enjoying reading this as much as I have.

Good Series
This is the second in this series and I have enjoyed both. I had forgotten how much I liked Western adventures! On to the third and that should tell how much I like these characters! Solid 4 stars.

Well this is something! Two families that were chomping at the bit to get Flannery to sell her ranch are now friends with her. Logan had never participated in his father's deadly deeds. Now his father is dead and Logan is running the ranch. The other rancher, Wendell, never stooped so low as to kill, but wasn't above strong arming to get a rancher to sell. Now Boone and Flannery ae getting married and both of these men are invited. At the reception, Flannery tries to be matchmaker by getting Logan and Lily together. Both were too shy to make the 1st move. That will provide some entertainment. Speaking of which, Wendell asks to court Jenny. What, a rich white rancher courting a black woman? They might not see skin color but his family does. Boone's renegade Indian father and brother are back. They murder ranchers and their families to steal their cattle. This time they murdered a family near Trinidad and captured the 16 yr old daughter. Boone can't allow that so he joins the sheriff's posse. Just an excellent story!

Books one and two are great, really entertaining, I love the characters and the different plots of each character that are intertwined through the novels. I read all of Mr. Boehm's books as quickly as they come out. He fills each novel he writes with unique character development and adventure and just the right amount of romance, a little comedy, and human values of the different heroes, that make the reader want to be a better person as it gladdens the heart and mind.

Right and Wrong
Sometimes doing what is right can be gut-wrenching, but nonetheless it still has to be done. Boone Youngblood comes face-to-face with not just his past his father as well and does what has to be done. But the highlight is the healing that takes place in so many different situations. This is a book where the reader needs to look past the story and feel what is happening between the lines.

STUPID STUPID AUTHOR IS DUANE BOEHM!!!
You stupid ignorant men don't seem to realize that your books do not need to include raping women and killing everybody. There are many authors out there that know how to write a book without these horrible things in them. They are able to write truly remarkable stories of the west, the frontier, and the mountains. I don't know what is wrong with you stupid men who do this.

Boone Youngblood meets Flannery when he was down.
This book was not quit what I expected. Boone was a halfbreed who had a rough life. Things changed after he met and married Flannery. His father had been cruel to him when he was a child. When he met him again, he forgave him. There a several surprises in their story. It was well written.

Excellent!
Again, a memorable story. Deciding to shoot your father and your half-brother has to be a terrible decision to make. But it was an Indian meme, in that there is us and them. They don't count and all their stuff belongs to us, they just don't know it. He couldn't include them in his group, so according to their own rules, he had to kill them.

Threads
An excellent novel following up the first novel to tie up loose threads in the lives of Boone and Flannery. Logon's girlfriend's influence on Logins family was really a nice touch.

Good finale
To this two book series, a tale of the life of Boone Youngblood, and of justice served to those who had perpetrated evil. A good conclusion to those lives that had been affected by circumstances beyond their control, with a happy ending!

All the best of different worlds
Was a great eye opener as to how people act snd and react to situations. All based on how they were raised. Made me feel sorry for those that couldn’t give in to their happiness because of how they grew up

Brutal murders lead to a father and son colliding with a fatal ending.
Duane Boehm continues the story of Flannery and Boone excellently in book two of the series. The book flowed well with many characters from the first book reappearing. Mr. Boehm is an author I'll read again.

Boone's Long Road To Forever
This was a great story. It was well written and you really got to know and relate with each of the characters. There was plenty of action, gun fights, knife fights, fist fights, the works! It was hard to put down. I would highly recommend it!

Excellent!
Hard story, for a man to kill his father and half brother is difficult. There is PTSD in that basket. Worth rereading one of these days.

Travel west and talk to the old timers. See ranch life up close. See how cowboys pass the time. Good read. Just needs more ranch life detail to be a true western.
