Ahhhh jenika is back with a few authors in this series about mountian men. Who doesn't love mountian men and lots of Hard wood. ;)

Charlotte and her friends are up camping telling scary stories and listening about the rumors about a mountian man who is cold, grumpy and growly. Little do they know Mateo the "scary" mountain man is watching from the darkness ready to inform these traspassers they are on private property. Until he notices Charlotte. Stunned by how he feels he wants one thing and thats her.

The chemistry between the two is hottt!! Mateo knows already thats his woman and he wont let her go. As for Charlotte she ready to be locked away in a cabin just to be near him.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, sexy time, Virgin gal and no manwhore celebite guy

Loved this quick read. It was a perfect read to help pass the time during these crazy times. Mateo and Charlotte were so good together. The chemistry and attraction between them was instant and intense. This was the perfect mix of romance and steam that will leave you swooning and fanning yourself when you are done. Love everything that Ms. Snow does and this was no exception. A great start to a new series and I can’t wait to read more of it.

First in a new series! This one has a little,spooky camp feel to it,in the beginning. Mateo sees Charlotte one night, when a group of them have trespassed on his land. Charlotte feels the pull,and it’s the road to their HEA from there. Completely safe and OTT!

Plot: Mateo is a mountain man recluse who sees Charlotte when she's sitting around a campfire with friends, telling scary stories. Only the group of friends has wandered onto his land, but instead of getting them in trouble, he finds someone he wants to keep.

Commentary: Charlotte was pretty, of course, but she was also kind and brave. She didn't listen to mean gossip about Mateo and she set about getting to know him when he caught them on his land. She was the perfect antidote to his grumpiness.

Mateo is my favorite kind of Jenika Snow hero, obsessive and focused. That isn't everyone's cuppa but I adore it. If you say your hero is stalkery and possessive/protective, I will one-click so fast, I will sprain my finger. Mateo lives up on Thickwood Mountain and he likes the quiet. He doesn't want or need to be around people. When he sees a group trespassing on his property, he goes to investigate. What he didn't expect to find was her. Charlotte loves a lot of things about her town but the gossip isn't one of them. So all the rumors about Mateo, she doesn't entertain them in the slightest. What she didn't expect when she met him up close and personal, how much he would change her life. So over the top, yummy, possessive, and hotter than the center of the sun, The Mountain Man's Obsession hits the spot!

This one wasn’t bad. I liked the idea of a mountain man boogeyman that people are afraid of. Of course you have the perfect virgin because it’s just not a story unless they’re a virgin. How can the man be possessive and growl “mine” if they aren’t one?! It’s just not the same if she isn’t pure.

I absolutely cannot stand when a penis is referred to as an appendage in a romance smut novel. This is supposed to be sexy isn’t it? I’m definitely not reading a medical document… ew and can we talk about “pussy hole”? That really makes me want to vomit. The amount of times I read pussy hole in this novella was impressive. I wish I would’ve kept a tally *rolls eyes*

I recommend this one to any smut lover.

I don’t recommend this to anyone that enjoys developed characters and plots.

While out with friends having a good time around a fire telling stories. Charlotte goes for a little walk to get some air. While away from her friends .she hears something thinking it's an animal services ignores I goes back to her friends. Just so happens the woods that Charlotte & her friends are on is owned by Mateo. He is a mountain man that doesn't want people trespassing on his land. He spotted Charlotte while she was by herself in the woods & knew he had to have her. He made himself known & told the kids to get lost but Charlotte knew better then to just leave without meeting Mateo. Once they me that was all they wrote. Instant love.

Mateo is the definition of power and intensity. I mean that as he is a big, strong man that is nothing to his ability to love and care for the woman who managed to bring the big scary recluse to his knees.

Charlotte and her friends may have trespassedon his land but it clearly was meant to be because she couldn't even deny that she had to apologize the next day. She is in very good hands because this man will have you feeling all squirmy, needing a cold shower and an even colder drink.

Short, sinfully delectable and we get to see how insta changed both their lives. Who knew trespassing and apologies would lead where it did. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

This was such a great hot story. It might be short but it was worth my time to read. Mateo sees Charlotte on the mountain when she and her friends are trespassing on his property. He knows instantly that she's the only one for him. It's an obsession with him. When he steps into the light of the campfire Charlotte instantly knows that he is for her. They have the most intense relationship and Mateo warned Charlotte that from the first moment he has her that he will never let her go. I want that mountain man. Hot, Hot, Hot! I loved Charlotte and Mateo ! They were a perfect couple ! Charlotte was strong yet vulnerable , while Mateo was formidable and strong but was all heart when it came to his obsession, Charlotte. And their chemistry was explosive!

Only one way off of the mountain
This author has a way with chemistry that steams right off the pages of her books. I love how this over the top hot alpha male falls right into love with the new object of his obsession. He might not want trespassers or to travel off his mountain, but lucky for him, the perfect little lady just stumbled right into his sights. Such a fantastic new book from this author, in fact it might just be one of my favorites. I am looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

Mateo lives in the mountains alone not interacting with anyone. That's the way he likes it. One night he hears what he thinks are teenagers partying on his property. He goes to chase them off and finds Charlotte and her friends. They are not teenagers. When Mateo and Charlotte eyes meet it's instant attraction for both of them. He allows them to stay overnight and the next day Charlotte goes to find him to apologize. When Mateo sees her again he vows that she will be his.

A mountain man and instant love!!! I loved Mateo and Charlotte's story. He lives alone up in the mountains and likes it that way until he sees Charlotte. And that's all it takes. She is going to be his, no matter what. Jenika Snow always writes hot, dirty and instant love stories that I really love. Oh my this was delicious, how could this be better?
For me, a shifter story..seriously shouting at the word's bite her, claim her. However I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, Mateo and Charlotte (sexy, curvy alpha female) share that unique love that we all hope to have just a little of in life.
Can't wait for the next enstallment in this series, love readings from Jenika Snow and wholeheartedly recommend reading from her book's.

Charlotte knew who the mountain man was. She caught glimpses of him a few times but never spoke to him. He was the bedtime story parents fed to their children to keep them in line, but Charlotte knew better. He was her dream.
Mateo silently approached Charlotte the night she and her friends camped out. She was who his heart was waiting for. She was what he needed to complete him. Little did she know he was everything she needed.

Super sweet and quick read. A huge, thick, hulk mountain man found his angel in the woods. She was his obsession, his life, his everything.

“You’re the love of my life, baby. You know that, right?”

I ran my fingers through his hair and nodded. “I know that with my whole heart, the same way I know you know how much I love you, right?”

He stood, grinning, but before he stood completely, he cupped my cheeks and kissed me.

“You’re my happily ever after, Mateo,” I whispered against his lips.

“No, Charlotte. You’re my happily ever after, and I’m never letting you go.”

Flaws: Plot was simple and predictable.

Where was the story

From the time they me after camping until the Epilogue was only sex. When did they get to know each other besides their name. Oh right they didn't!

I don't mind a short story but there has to be something to it. But I guess they're many people who like a book of only sex.
