MC Daddies #1

Motorcycle Daddy

Rate this book
She’s the shy, quiet girl next door. He’s the bad ass biker with an attitude.
It’s never going to work. . .
Sunny knows she should steer clear of her neighbor. He’s rough, gruff and quite possibly, dangerous.
So why can’t she keep her mind off him? Or her body from reacting around him? Or her Little side from wanting to appear and beg him to cuddle her, kiss her, spank her. . .
Duke barely notices his neighbor. Until she becomes a convenient target for his bad mood. Afterwards he feels awful. In fact he starts to notice her in a completely different light.
He might be a biker with an attitude, but all he’s ever wanted is someone to love and protect. Someone to dominate and cherish. And it seems to him that Sunny just might give him everything he needs.

3.5 Don't Change Yourself for Me Stars ⭐

Complete mindless pleasure.
Considering daddy kink is one of my favorite tropes (cos who doesn't appreciate praise and Alpha males tending to all your desires with a few necessary love slaps) how the heck have I never read this series?

She was tired. She was lonely. Her Little wanted a strong Daddy to protect her. To coddle her when she needed it. A Daddy that cared about her enough to give her rules and enforce them.
“I know what I’m agreeing to.”

Nothing overly complicated. A girl in distress, a reluctant biker and 'the perfect partner right under your nose' scenario. But, can I just love on a ditsy Sunny who was kind and naive and truly in need of a minder? I liked her! And Duke? Gruff, surprisingly compassionate and the  perfect first time daddy.

If age play is a hard limit then I definitely don't recommend. I'm not saying that a Little / Daddy Dom dynamic isn't unusual, however it fascinates me. I guess it's all the care that's at the core of it. I think Motorcycle Daddy is a great example. High on the cheese, low on the drama and certainly hot if it appeals to you!

Did you hear the good news?
Laylah Roberts has found a whole new bunch of Daddies, and they’re HOT!
Who knew that being in an MC ánd being a Daddy was possible....
Not only that, but they’re so good at it!

This first in the series tells the story of Sunny and her neighbor,Duke.
She’s recently divorced and lonely,he’s a biker that wants to be left alone.
A biker that’s had a rough life, and the only family he’s had for a very long time is his MC.
When he finds her mowing his lawn,as well as having emptied his mailbox,he explodes.
Sunny does her best to avoid him after that, but when she’s fired and has a meltdown in her driveway,he can’t do anything but help the poor girl.
Finding out she’s hiding a little is the icing on his cake and he knows he has to protect her at all cost.
Sunny’s little likes his caring Daddy side, and when she gets to know him better, her grown-up side likes him too....a lot.
But there’s trouble brewing, from more than one source.....

Will Duke be able to keep his Sunny safe?
And will her little break down the walls he’s built around his heart?

I absolutely loved this story, and to know there’s more Daddies like Duke......YUM!

A good start to another awesome series from Laylah Roberts. There's something about the way that she writes DDLG that makes it a joy to read. It's never cringy or over the top. Our main characters Sunny and Duke were cute together. They were exactly what each other needed. We were given some suspense and funny side characters. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Ah, how I enjoyed, sincerely loved & enjoyed this one!
A rough tough biker (Duke/H) who has no use for any people other than his club brothers is propelled against his better judgement into the life of his uber sweet, shy & kind next door neighbor (Sunny/h).
For months Duke successfully ignored his neighbor Sunny & her husband although he did notice that after awhile the husband no longer lived there leaving Sunny on her own. However, not his business or concern or even his interest. But one day Sunny has a day from Hell & Duke has to decide whether he'll help her or call professionals to do so. And, again, against his better judgement he does & inadvertently finds out Sunny's big secret: she's a 'Little'.
But Duke, although he does like light bondage & impact play in the bedroom is most definitely NOT a Daddy Dom.
Or is he?
This one is wonderfully written, the reader dives into the depths of this romance with delight. Duke is gruff, blunt, rough & tough & has been since the death of his family years ago. But somehow when he's with Sunny an unrealized softer side emerges from his wounded soul, he finds himself increasingly protective of, soothed by, & desiring the woman who has carved her way into his frozen heart. And Sunny finds this formerly cold, distant, scary man makes her feel safe, protected, cherished, special. Things she's not felt before in her life even with her ex-husband.
Ms. Roberts writing, as always, is beautifully evocative with a smooth flow that effortlessly draws the reader into the story & never 'yanks' or 'jerks' them out of it. I didn't want to put this one down with the sweet loving romance that was perfectly spiced with some tense mystery/suspense & danger. I found myself on tenterhooks to know what would happen next & I was compelled to turn to the next page & the next.
I thoroughly loved Duke & Sunny's journey exploring both their path to love & a DD/bg relationship. Once Duke determined he wanted to be Sunny's Daddy Dom he was all in: focused, intense & serious about being the best Daddy Dom he could be. And that meant Sunny, who had always wanted to be a special Daddy Dom's 'Baby girl', had to decide if the punitive consequences of being this man's 'baby girl' were something she wanted in addition to the intense emotional & physical positives.
This one is such a feel good romance, I love when big tough burly bikers are beautifully blindsided by an unexpected love who is a kind & loving woman. The very few communication misunderstandings between them were never dragged out or allowed to create artificial drama: Duke could always tell when Sunny was upset or worried & managed to gently but firmly address the issue immediately. I loved that!! Artificial drama in a story irks me intensely.
This one soooo delivered for me: Duke was swoonworthy as a Hero, Sunny was a shy submissive yet strong heroine. I found it to be hugely heartwarming & soooo emotionally satisfying I was smiling through much of it. Yet, Ms. Roberts smoothly inserts mystery & danger into the plot making the reader worry for both Duke & Sunny at various points.
And, there is a thrilling, dark & deadly mystery character who inserts themself into Duke & Sunny's life with unknown intent & goals . . . .
A beautifully & wonderfully written book I greatly enjoyed & loved, one I will reread again & again to relive Duke & Sunny's journey.
I think most readers will too.

4.5 stars.
I’ve read this twice now. And both times Ive loved it.
Duke is that perfect combo of grouchy, possessive, overprotective, and totally sweet.
Sunny is the absolute embodiment of her name. Just the most genuinely nice girl.
Im glad I decided to reread this series before the next book comes out. I had forgotten some things. Like names and what exactly happened with the fox.

Omg! This book is fantastic! I love everything about it. What I love about Laylah Roberts books is that it's not all about sex. The relationship between the two main characters is what's important. And in her Daddy series, the DD/lg aspect isn't even the main focus. It just is, you know? And this book is the perfect example of that. Everything was just so easy and interesting. 5 stars

2.5⭐️From time to time I stumble over a Daddy/Little Book and while this whole little thing does nothing for me I like the caring (not the physical child like caring) and protecting aspect. My first M/F in this trope. It was somehow cute, but I still prefer M/M. The background of the clubs business is so far from reality, every member of HA would laugh for a week about this book and how stupid women are. I mean, really, they rather ride the underaged girls for prostitution on their bike to a John than fighting against it. But ok it’s fiction and if it feels better to imagine super nice criminal biker, so what 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

If you're looking for a mild, consensual, age-play romance between an H who isn't a Neanderthal and an h who isn't a brat, you will probably enjoy this. This book is the beginning of Laylah Roberts' new DD/lg series, set in a motorcycle club/security business. While it's technically a stand-alone in terms of the relationship, it's impossible to understand the drama the H engages in without having read Daring Daddy. Even with that, I found the backstory convoluted and it was difficult to keep all the men's names straight. I'm sure all will get their own stories; I hope they're more distinct characters than they are here.

Sunny is a little who has never had anyone in her life take care of her; Duke is a dominant who didn't know he was a daddy until he met his kind, attractive, insecure neighbor. The rest of the book details their growing relationship which, while sweet and filled with well-described erotic scenes, has little tension in it. What drama we do get comes from the criminal sub-plot that Duke and his club friends are investigating. Ms. Roberts usually injects some elements of crime drama into her DD/lg stories that don't mesh well with her romance and that I find less interesting. I will say that in this case, the mystery took a turn I didn't expect and, in another book, I would have found compelling. It just didn't seem to belong here. Truly, the strength of these books is the loving relationship between two likeable characters, particularly the H who will do anything for his h.

I particularly appreciated two aspects here. First, though Sunny works for Duke, he was careful to assure her that her job would never be at risk because of their relationship. And, second, he used the DD/lg relationship to help her build confidence (far too many books use it to weaken the h) and stand up for herself.

4 stars. I do, however, wish that Ms. Roberts would one day write an h who wasn't so stereotypically feminine.

DNF.
In fairness I will not be rating because I dnf and was not aware of the content. I picked this book up on the basis of grumpy neighbor who becomes protective possessive. That’s all true. With daddy in the title I thought some bdsm might be involved. I was completely clueless to age play being part of the book and truthfully the concept of littles never crossed my mind in real life. I figured it out fairly quick as I had naively thought maybe it was mostly during regular interactions because the h likes to be cared for like a young child but it is during sexual interactions and that’s going to have to be a big no for me. Of what I did read, I did enjoy his protective nature but the other elements of the book are not for me.

I didn't realize that this was a reread, however after seeing my review I can tell, I definitely changed, learned, and grew as a person. I now understand far more about Daddies/Littles and while I don't always agree with it, I understand everyone is different and no one should be forced to conform for another person, ever. Sunny and Duke were a great couple. I'm glad they got a happy ending. 5 ⭐.

Rough, tough biker dudes couldn’t be daddies, right?

LOL! If you doubt, let me put that to rest. The answer is a resounding YES! Big tough bikers can so totally be daddies and Laylah Roberts proved it with the intro to Duke and the unexpected Little that he can’t resist :)

Sunny has seen her biker neighbor from afar for almost a year but being the girl who always follows the rules and never sets out to make a splash, she never went out of her way to get to know him. Not that he ever did either but when she’s hit with a case of good deeds, Sunny finds herself face to face with a distrustful Duke and it’s just her luck he’s having a pretty messed up morning.

Blackmail and hired assassins will do that to a guy.

Duke knew he was taking his anger out on his neighbor and that it wasn’t fair to her. His conscience won’t let him rest until he apologizes. But when he’s witnesses Sunny at her most vulnerable, daddy instincts this Dom didn’t know he had rear up and grab hold of him.

She just seemed to bring out parts of him that he hadn’t known existed. The urge to be indulgent was tempered by the need to ensure she did as she was told.

Duke takes to being a Daddy to Sunny almost without a hitch! Lol, of course there’s a few times they both stumble but it was such an adorable story to read! I’ll admit to being a little jelly that he’s so perfect *sigh*

“All I want is for you to be you. Because who you are is perfect.”

Needless to say, this was another phenomenal hit by Ms. Roberts and now I have two series to obsess over! Bain’s story is next in the Montana Daddies series and I really hope Ink gets his own Little HEA next in this new spin off series, MC Daddies. But with new characters like Reyes, Jason, Spike, Razor and Jewel, I know I won’t be disappointed by which ever Daddy is next. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Fox either!

This is a slow burn romance with two very likable characters and a great balance of sexual tension. It's not all about the smexy times, there's a lot of emotional connections and the author allows the characters to connect outside the bedroom. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of sexual tension sizzling between these two but don't expect instant gratification either.

Memorable Moments: The playroom Duke surprised Sunny with, followed by the toy shopping trip and lastely the epilogue! What a perfect way to end this one!

Would I recommend? Seriously I can’t recommend this author enough to those looking for romantic, steamy and sweet DD/lg stories. I’ve loved her Montana Daddies series since discovering them and have binge read them at least twice, lol! I have a feeling MC Daddies will be the same way!

Duke and Sunny brought all of my expectations and blew them out of the ball park. Duke was the absolute best Daddy – he always managed to say just the right thing and had my heart melting for him! Then there’s Sunny – I loved her :) she was a complete sweetie and I was so happy she was paired with Duke because they both were made for each other!

A very slow burn Daddy Dom romance

This is the story of Duke and Sunny...
Duke encounters Sunny's Little while Sunny is having a breakdown in front of her house. Although neighbours they barely know each other.
Duke is unsure how to deal with Sunny's Little but determined to try. The love story is sweet and slow. Duke first wants to ensure he knows how to deal with Sunny but also that she is ready. I loved that Duke wanted to learn how to be what Sunny needed. This is a great role reversal to the norm we have in most romances.
There is some suspense and although this is toted as a MC romance this theme does not feel overwhelming and could have been a close group of friends as well.
I am interested in hearing more about the other secondary characters we were introduced to. Will read the next book in series.

This isn’t a romance as much as it is a DD/lg caretaker book. The relationship between the MCs is pretty bland and the h won’t stop bringing up her ex husband. The author is trying way too hard to make her ex husband into the H’s foil, but it’s making me so turned off from the story. We get it already! He made the h pay for her own food and bills. How terrible. I don’t even care if the “romance” progresses because completely lost interest.

It's a testament to this author that I enjoyed this book as much as I did, I am not a fan of the daddy/little kink but this was a pretty decent read.

H/h have been neighbours for a while, she's now divorced. He comes home to her mowing his lawn and also thinks she's opened his mail. He's an idiot to her but later regrets it. When Sunny is fired from her job Duke steps in not only to offer her a job but to help her little side. But things are about to heat up as the club becomes involved in some drama.

******
Grumpy/Sunshine

I liked Sunny for the most part but her constantly trying to refuse Duke's help started to irritate me. Like girllllllllllllll you just said you only had 500 in savings and you lost your job let that damn man pay for dinner tf?! If she'd protested a little less I would've definitely rated this higher.
Another thing about Sunny, she mentioned her ex way too fucking frequently. Not in the sense that she missed him but basically comparing everything Duke did to what her ex shit head didn't do. While she wasn't pining for him I just don't like ex's in my books.
I enjoyed the suspense, while I figured out one aspect and saw that revenge coming a mile away I didn't expect the fox to be who he turned out to be. Typical me I'm most interested in the fox's story and really hope he gets one.
I liked Duke as a mmc, he wasn't accustomed to the DD/LG lifestyle but Sunny brought out the daddy Dom in him.
We get quite a few scenes with Sunny as a little.....not usually my thing but I found her cute.
Thankfully there weren't any clubwhores or shit like that happening in the MC.
Surprisingly enough I'll definitely read more from this author and series

Daddy/little
Spankng, a bit of anal play etc. Actually I expected more spice we get I think 2 sex scenes. Given the subject matter I expected more tbh.
Duke had his share of experience but nothing slapped in my face

This is my first book from this author and my very first age-play experience. While I was weirded out at first, I can say I was thoroughly entertained as I read this book.

There wasn't much se-xy times, in my opinion, but what stood up for me was the story itself and all the characters (including the sides). I also love the respect shown on both sides, especially the hero's to the heroine. He was an alpha but he sure knows his boundaries with being a jerk. The relationship between main characters was built up nice and slow. I love how securing the hero made their relationship.

This is a great introduction to a series and to this subgenre/trope. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

i’m not gonna lie, i went into this not really sure what to expect and thinking i might actually hate it. so i was so pleasantly surprised how much i loved this book. and this was the first time i read a DD/LG dynamic. i always love a grumpy MMC who is only sweet and nice for the FMC and that is exactly Duke and Sunny. i love them both. but you also can’t hate Sunny when her name is Sunshine River Bright.

very light on the MC. 3rd person POV (which i actually didn’t hate) no OW drama

i also loved all the other side characters introduced and can’t wait to read about them. and i really hope the Fox also keeps making an appearance.

this is def a book i can see myself rereading as a comfort read.

this was cute! i really enjoyed Sunny and Duke, and the development of their relationship was nicely done.

i guess i didn’t realize this was gonna be a full on dd/lg relationship, it’s one of the few kinks i don’t think i’ll ever be able to come around to. i can understand why people are into it - no shame in that game man - but i just can’t. and i love daddy dom! i just draw the line at ageplay, it’s not for me at all. that said, i didn’t hate it so much that i wanted to dnf this, which i think is testament to how likable these characters are!

Honestly the book is about what you would expect from the title. Not terrible but not exactly good either. This is my first daddy/little with age play and I’m not entirely sure I enjoy it... but color me intrigued when it comes to Ink so I will be moving forward with book 2.

I’m giving this 2.75⭐️ now there isn’t anything wrong with the story. It wasn’t bad but there was just something missing for me. Usually when I’ve read books about daddies and their littles, the thing that’s fascinated me and kept me drawn into the book, is the way the FMC often can be very mature yet when she’s in her little head space that’s where she’s safe etc.

Yet with this book it felt like she was always in that little head space, so it didn’t feel like a relationship dynamic, more like a mental health coping mechanism. And having that thought in the back of my mind throughout the book just kept putting everything off for me slightly. Like seriously the Woman was such a risk to herself!!

I dunno I guess with some of the ones I’ve read, it’s almost beautiful how these relationships can work, there is so much Trust and devotion, yet here it seemed more like everything in her was stunted, she was never able to grow up into a woman and that felt rather sad and considering it isn’t a dad Book, I guess that’s why I rated it what I did.

Oooh! I loved this start to a new series. Duke was a hot AF biker with his own tattoo shop and the club has its own compound. Sunny River Bright is Duke’s neighbor. She was married to an awful man named Greg who never accepted who she was for her. Always lacking in his opinion. She worked for an even more rotten man named Ronnie, who watched porn in front of her on a daily basis.
The day Ronnie fired her because she wouldn’t let him touch her, is the day her luck changed in a big way! Duke is a big man with eyes and heart only for her! This story takes some real twists and turns of suspense. But it all comes out in the end because Duke and Sunny get their HEA. Did I mention Sunny is a little? Well, she is and Duke takes to being a Daddy Dom like a duck to water! Laylah Roberts has such filled out characters and awesome storylines! I can’t wait to read her next book!

Duke is not in a good mood when he arrives home to find his next door neighbor Sunny intruding in his space by organizing his mail and mowing his lawn. Duke blows up and then finds himself feeling slightly guilty about it, but the more he gets to know Sunny the more he is determined to test the waters.

This one I thoroughly enjoyed how it starts but the Daddy thing was too much for me. I thought the acting out for punishment just pushed it into an uncomfortable zone for me that I could not get into.

- daddy k!nk with the big, tattooed, biker neighbour
- if i was sunny i would be mortified and flee the country so she’s braver than me
- found family trope!
- okay but i’m obsessed with Jewel
- we got a lot of bad eggs in this book
- some of this isn’t for me but it was very sweet
- omg okay that’s a good plot twist is it not
- ah this was a really good book! a bit cringe in some places but sweet with a good plot and it was nice to watch their relationship grow
- is it bad that i like Fox?
