This series was like a bad accident you couldn't look away from. It was a page turner because you just had to see how this foolishness ended. This story is filled with a bunch of hurt, toxic and hothead people. Lucy "Lou" got on my last good nerve from book one, page one, every time she opened her self centered, selfish, ungrateful, spoiled mouth. Her anger towards Misha, Assad and even poor Roshaun was just ridiculous! She was too over the top and made no sense at all. Her being hot then cold, soft then hard gave me a headache. Now, she did have every right to be angry with her Mom, Dad and Chinx but her attitude towards everyone else who just wanted to help and or love her made me want to slap her. Every character had issues that they would rather run from then deal with. I feel as though this story was so incomplete and unnecessary. The title needs to be changed because she was NEVER his peace. I am going to read other books by this author however, maybe the next one will be better.
No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get into this book. The women were weak. Hated Lous character. The men weren’t much better. Just a bunch of angry people who instead of dealing with the issues, everyone runs. I’ve read this author before and enjoyed her books. This one, not so much.
I read all three books and I felt like all three of them needed so much more story development especially the “love” between Assad and Lou. When they started talking about they love each other I had so much confusion because all they were doing were having sex and spending hella time away from each and not to mention constantly hurting each other. All three books just showed toxic love not even one couple had a relationship that made you go “Aw” because all of them were strictly lust driven.
The only couple I could really say I was starting to feel better about was Misha and Don and that says a lot. Seemed Don stepped up and was really become a better man. Damn near the only character development which is insane… well him and Lyla since she seems to have left all of them trifling ass men alone.
I was waiting for the “peace” part in the book because Lou was a got damn handful and so unable to get out of her perspective. As you could tell by the many different POV’s she definitely wasn’t the only one going through something and everyone was so understanding to her and she was not understanding to damn near anyone else she just got over shit. I have rarely disliked two main characters but I was definitely not feeling any type of love between Assad and Lou and that made me sad. I feel like that would’ve been different with more character development and storyline development. Show me other forms of intimacy with these two besides just fucking each other. Damn.
On a positive note. The book was hard to put down. Lots of twist and turns. I wasn’t expecting Assad to be Gabriel’s father and that definitely shocked me but honestly it was for the better. I knew that Lou would end up treating him just like he was her son. The ending was okay but honestly would’ve like to see how their relationship transformed to a healthier place.

People have a habit of biting the hand that feed them. Chinx being a snake and throwing dirt on Asaad name was shocking to Asaad because Chinx was supposed to be his best friend. Chinx scandalous ways caught up to him. Lou had every right to be pissed off at Misha because had Misha listened and never gave up her location to Chinx. Lou wouldn't have gone through what she went through. I was done with Misha when she started making excuses for what Chinx did. I thought jealousy was a reason for Misha not liking Jen because Jen have been there for Lou when she really needed her but Jen also crossed a line doing what she did to Lou. Asaad is just like his father Frankie. Stubborn, cocky, and want everything to go their way. Asaad knew he was wrong with his actions and his treatment towards Lou at time's. Frankie thought after all these year's he was going to stay married and still have Lyla but Lyla was no longer going for it. Oliver ending up sick may have been his Karma for all of the dirt he has done. I don't know what possessed him to continue to trust Henrietta because she was his downfall in the end.
Lou was still being a lil brat but some of the stuff was understandable, but sometimes I just wanted to thump her on the forehead. Assad was was blowing me cause he wanted to keep throwing in Lou face that she killed Gabby. Then he had the nerve to almost cheat. Glad they was able to figure things out. I'm proud of Misha, I think she learned her lesson. I enjoyed this series and I hope there's a story waiting to be written for Frankie and Laya. 💝💝
Reading the first book was ok with Lucy's behavior been that she was young But my God, she talking about her boyfriend being a thug and she needs to leave him. its the other way around, that girl had to filter not even when love is shown her way. She woke up angry and goes to sleep angry. one angry woman.
The book was good in a sense as far as the characters goes and the story line. I read all three in one setting to be fair, it was just to much going on constantly and the writing was very rushed and it didn’t get good a little bit until the third one. I think you all should still check it out.
Welp, Asaad and Lucy got their happily ever after. They had to go thru some stuff to get there, but they made it. Misha and Don finally got it together as well. Lucy is one strong woman. She did what she had to do to survive her kidnapping. Y'all need to read this series if you haven't already.
Yessss!!! First time reading this author....Series was very interesting and definitely entertaining 😁😁😁The drama was hella real and so was the love🙌🙌Really enjoyed it and will definitely be seeing what else this author has!!!
This was an okay read…everyone was toxic in their relationships and honestly Lous antics worked my nerves. I’m glad I’m a quick reader and this series didn’t take more than 2 days to finish.
I loved the fact that they finally made it work and settled down and had their family. It’s so special to find that one true love that’s willing to go that extra mile for you
the Mmc was not attractive at all, he acted like a man baby. Lou don’t know how to stick up for herself she let him walk all over her and there were many parts left open in this book. Also this is just one of those books where the characters shouldve went their separate ways
This book was great Excitement drama Through the whole book can hardly put it down Read 3 books in 4 days Can't wait to wait to read more books from this author
Ding dong all the crazy bats are gone! The twists and turns had me on my toes! I was wondering when or if Asaad would ever get his life together. Henrietta did all that crap and still took the coward way out! I'm actually glad Lyla decided to walk away from Frankie. They really weren't getting anywhere besides the bed. Jen was something else. Yh she did all that and apologized but that stunt would have cost us tremendously. Our friendship would have never been the same after that. Through it all, though plenty times I was rooting for Lou to kick Assad to the curb, you cant help who you love and I'm glad he stepped up proving no one in the world would have been a better match for him! Cheers to Mr. And Mrs. Daniels!
Lou was still a lil brat but some of the stuff was understandable, but sometimes I wanted to thump her on the fo'head. Asaad was still pissing me off cause he wanted to keep throwing in Lou face that she killed Gabby. Then he had the nerve to almost cheat. Glad they was able to figure things out. I'm proud of Misha, I believe she learned her lesson. I enjoyed this series and I hope there's a story waiting to be written for Frankie and Laya, maybe even Misha too.💜💜
Assad kept doing too much because he knew Lou loved him but I'm glad he got it together... Franklin didn't seem as if he was ready to leave his wife so I'm glad Lyla gave up when she did.... I'm super proud of Lou accepting Gabriel as her own...
