Meh. Ok I’m going to elaborate on my original meh review. This book was trying to be about love at first sight and kismet but was honestly about a callous playboy who calls off his wedding with no remorse for a woman he meets at his bachelor party. So that’s the set up, then we get into their interactions together post wedding break up and I honestly think he’s even more callous than ever. The heroine is a huge ditz with all these arbitrary rules and hoops she makes him jump through so they can be together. It reads like a bad soap opera (amnesia included). Again this author writes about an apparently smart (in med school for psychiatry) woman who acts so stupidly and immaturely she might as well be a high schooler. And this guy, this hot fire fighter manly man keeps eating shit for her. He takes her shit over and over for what? To be with an annoying priss who’s only redeeming quality seems to be that she’s frisky and sexually uninhibited. Even then, there are so many sex scenes is this book, I just started skimming them. This author has a checklist for her sex scenes and then repeats over and over...coconut oil, check...cream pies, check... facials, check.. ball sucking sloppy bj, check. Once you’ve read one of these books, you’ve gotten the gist of TSs’ erotic repertoire.
There were some decent moments in this one, so I did rate it a 3 but it’s heroine really ruined any real potential for me.

What happens when you cross a doctor and a fireman?

Ms. Summers brings the life of a fireman climbing the ladder to a successful career to a sudden halt when controversy puts him in the spotlight. Fearless as he is, he understands if doc and their building love story are splashed in the media, it will destroy her. Love is simple. At least, it should be.

This story held my every spare minute hostage until I read the last page. Thank you for such a great story even though I wanted to cuff them upside their heads and tell them to get their s—t together! So good!

This should be titled Slow Burn.
A sweet, frustrating, emotive story of a pairs journey through self discovery. Learning how to live their best lives as themselves and not being swayed by others opinions.
Will a distressing scene be the end of this slow burning relationship or will they get their happy ever after, damn right they will.

Oh my goodness loved Grace and Ryan's story so much, but still think book five is my favourite of this series. But now can't wait to read the next.

Grace Erickson went to a bachelor/bachelorette party with her best friend Maddie and her boyfriend Craig. She meets the groom Ryan. Ryan and Grace end up talking most of the night and have an instant connection. The next morning, Ryan calls off his wedding to Lauren. It turns out it was a mutual decision. Grace does not want to be Ryan’s rebound girl so she tells him that she will not go on a date with him for a year. She also does not want any scandals that may end up on Page Six.

Grace is in med school and will start her residency soon, so she has no time for love. She lives in the pool house on her parent’s estate. This way she has privacy but still is able to have breakfast with her parents. He mother Franny Erickson is known as a very special socialite who knows everything about everyone and is highly respected. Her father is a judge.

Ryan Kennedy is a firefighter. He is the fire captain. He realizes that Grace has a lot of school including her residency before she can get her license to practice medicine. That doesn’t stop him from wanting to date her.

Page Six almost ruined it for the couple. Thank goodness Ryan was so patient with Grace.

Another great read

I am sad to be nearing the end of this series!!

Ryan and Grace have an insta-love attraction that happens at an awkward time. She has a backstory that doesn't allow the attraction between them to be out in the open, and this causes issues.

Ryan is everything we want from a book boyfriend, and the chemistry between these two is entertaining, steamy and addictive. I enjoyed their HEA.

This story should be read in the correct order, to keep the storyline thread.

I recommend this author, book, and series. It's enjoyable, with strong characters, steamy and engaging stories, and sweet HEAs.

Liked the love interest, even though it went back and forward between the pair because Grace could not make up her mind to date Ryan or not! The plot i thought was mild, not a great one but it had entertainment value. The only thing that i wanted to know more about than anything that was not in the novel, was about Sloane. He got injured in action over seas and they were all worried about their best friend, but we never found out any more about him after that. Not even in the Epilogue... Maybe he has his own story to tell?.

Sassy, sexy, funny, hot read!

Grace is a gorgeous doctor in training, with some emotional baggage from her past. Ryan is a gorgeous firefighter who almost married the wrong woman. They meet, and the chemistry is immediate. I loved their love, even when she fought it. The sparks start flying in page 2, and never really stop.
Bonus: all the dogs, firefighter calendar shoot, that cabin...sigh.
Tess Summers has another home run! Now I need to re-read this whole series.

okay read

An okay read that had such potential to be really great. Good storyline and liked all the characters apart from grace, who for me was just a wimp. A doctor in training and wanting to specialise in psychiatry but played terrible games with her let’s not date for a year, let’s not tell people we’re in a relationship, let’s not….
An okay read that took far too long to get where it needed to.

As usual, this was an unputdownable book. Although it was obvious (I hoped) what the final outcome would be, it wasn’t obvious how it was going to come about. There were loads of in depth characters, relating to other books in the series, making you want to read them all. Even though it is part of a series, it is easily read as a standalone.

I absolutely loved the story of Ryan and Grace. What they say is true and that all great doctors make the worst patients. Ryan and Grace had an unconventional start but they overcame and were better for it.

So, who doesn’t love a hot firefighter? Ryan is definitely hero material. I liked him from the start, honest, vulnerable and gorgeous! When he decides Grace is it for him he shows her patience, protectiveness and all that hotness. Excellent couple, nice story and a HEA.

These two were such fun to read about. She had goals and so did he. Problems when those goals didn’t match. His frustration was real but so was hers. Between the sheets is the only place they did agree on. And man was it smoldering!!!

Grace Ericson meets Ryan Kennedy the night of his joint bachelor/bachelorette party. The next morning, Ryan shows up at Grace’s friends house to tell their mutual friends Maddie and Craig that he has called off his wedding because he found “the One!” Uh yeah, the one being Grace!

Let’s be clear here, no fiancé’s feelings were hurt in the cancelling of the above wedding, the now unengaged couple actually mutually agreed to call off the wedding.

Since they had spend most of the prior evening talking about a variety of subjects together, and since Ryan is sure that Grace is “The One” and since there is an obvious interest on both parts, you would think (as Ryan does) that this should be easy, this spending time and learning more about Grace. It however, is anything but easy! Grace was caught up in a gossip rag scandal a few years prior and it took a toll on her family and her. The last thing she wants is for the same gossip rag to catch wind of an engagement being ended because of her. She doesn’t think she could stand it, on top of the fact that she is about to finish off medical school then head into her first residency. No, as much as Ryan is tall, handsome, sexy and has dimples, she can’t, no will not put herself through that again.

But, there is that draw, that chemistry, the easy going air about that handsome Fire Captain that always brings her around to wanting to spend time with Ryan, even when she works overtime to keep herself from following her feelings for him.

Friends can sometimes be your worst nightmare. Especially friends who are constantly throwing Ryan and Grace together, they mean well, but do these things help Grace keep her distance or just prove that she can have a relationship and the gossip rags be damned.

Tess Summers has written a wonderful story of two souls, one who is so sure and one who is so cautious, then takes them for a wild ride of sass, snuggling, playing in the snow, and chemistry that makes their physical attraction go right off the charts. Are they really meant to be together or will they make it through that could make them stronger or break them apart?
