Bestselling author Tina Marie returns with a riveting romance, The Committed Side Chick, a new series unlike any other.
For the McKenzie men, being on top in the streets came easy. But when it came to finding love, they were not so lucky.
Remee McKenzie, the oldest of the McKenzie boys, has been with the love of his life Rumor since high school. However, his constant infidelities and wild ways have devastating consequences destroying the relationship between the two.Rumor has literally been through hell and back with Remee only for him to walk away and be with someone else. Except even when he is supposed to be out of her life it’s like he never left. Tired of living in a painful cycle with Remee, Rumor takes breaking up with him into her own hands. Will Remee lose the people he loves the most for good or will he find a way to make things, right?
Sire McKenzie, Remee’s younger brother met Arabella at a time in her life when she needed him most. Unfortunately, they are torn apart by outside forces. Their time together even though brief leaves a lasting impression on them both. When they meet again years later, Sire barges his way back into Arabella’s life, causing her to fall in love all over again. All while leaving out secrets that will break her heart.
Arabella has moved on from her horrific past and is now happy. Even though she doesn’t have much, she can give her son a stable life and that is all that matters. At least until Sire walks back into her world. Now her heart wants a man who has always been out of her league. Will she last in his world or lose him once again?
Cahir McKenzie, a cousin to the McKenzie brothers, is the definition of a damaged thug. He is a king in the streets and the one who took his family out of the slums. Yet his attitude toward the opposite sex is vicious and degrading, at least until he meets Eternity. She began to unfreeze his ice-cold soul, but it only makes him want to hurt her before she can hurt him. When he says the unthinkable, will Eternity ever forgive him?
Eternity is a single mother who works double-time to give her son the life he deserves. Meeting Cahir was never a part of the plan. Seeing more to him than just a killer in the streets, Eternity’s heart begun to yearn for Cahir. However, his actions showed her that they could never be. Will she give up on loving a bad boy or put up a fight?
Will these couples’ journeys finally end in true love? Or will it all come tumbling down, in the end, leading straight to disaster? Find out in the first installment of The Committed Side Chick.

My first read by this author. Off the title alone, I was like I’m not sure if this book is for me. Trying to understand the lifestyle, mindset, and behaviors of a side chick is just something I won’t ever accomplish. However, the book doesn’t highlight the traditional homewrecking side chick. Most of these women believe they are the one and only. Imagine being a side chick and you don’t even know you a side chick. That’s crazy lol. Of course is drama filled and the characters and their relationships are so toxic and alluring….i must keep reading.
Wheeeew!!! This one has a lot going on!! The drama is there which keeps the book interesting but the transition between the characters could have been executed better. It made it difficult to remember what previously happened with some of the other characters by the time it got back to a particular character’s chapter.
The rape was a little much and i didn’t really know how to feel about it. I’m aware it’s a book and it’s entertainment but yeah idk it just felt weird.
I don’t think I like any of the characters in this series to be honest. Expect maybe Eternity for now , she came later in the book but so far she’s the least annoying.
Rumor had no back bone , Remee was a cheating scum bag that couldn’t seem to keep his manhood in his pants no matter the situation. Bella was also a little on the weak side but what happened to her wasn’t her fault by a long shot.
Sire couldn’t commit and was also for the streets until he met Bella. But I couldn’t understand how he ended up getting a hood rat like Shay pregnant smh. But then again I guess it wasn’t that hard to understand since he had commitment issues, and the fact that he kept his bm and his child from Bella was insane!!
Cahir had to be my least favorite. Rude asf is an understatement!! He had serious issues
The errors and the fact that the timing seemed off some parts of the book kept me from giving this book anything over 3 stars. I’m already invested so I’m going to continue the series

How you leave me hanging like that. Tina Marie hit the jackpot wit this one. I was glued to this book. I don't know w why I always fall for the misunderstood psychos but Cahir is my favorite for that reason alone. I hate how he pushed Eternity away because he can't handle the feelings and emotions he's experiencing. She is just what he needs, she is his peace. Rumor and Remee gave me the blues. He had me crying just as much as she was. I really believe that Remee loves her. I like how he treats A'Laya as if she was his and I really think she is. I hope they are able to save A'Laya because I don't think Rumor can survive losing another child. Sire and Bella fell in love over the weekend because she chose him to take her virginity instead of her being raped and it was taken by force by her step dad Alex. He was one sick and twisted bastard. I believe Bella's child is Sire's also. After three years and finally getting her back in his life he bout to lose her again. Bella has been through a lot and she don't deserve the pain of finding out she a side chick. I can't wait to see how these men gonna fix they f&ck ups.💜💜
I hate that I have to wait for part 2 to come out. Like I wish they could tell us what the release date would be. This book was so good. With all these different characters going through their own issues, I was never confused. I wonder what’s going to happen with Bella and Sire? He knows he done Fucked up now. Who is this Jayda bitch and where she come from?!?! I’m sooo mad with Remee. He need to seriously get his shit together. Just childish to me, like dude pick a side. You want to be in a committed relationship or do you want to be out here pounding on every thing. I love Arabella. She was so sweet and humbled. I can’t wait until they realized that baby Jael is Sire and not Alex sick ass. I’m glad he’s gone!! Whatever happened to her sister tho and where is the mother? She needs her ass whipped. Shay, trying to kill that baby, talking about she annoying and she didn’t sign up for this. I swear all the good ones be takin by these bunny ass broads. I can’t wait to see how all this unfolds. Hurry up with pt2 please and thank you!!!!
Baby, this book had all the drama & I loved it! The McKenzie brothers weren’t nothing to play with. I loved the way they loved the women around them though. Even if some of the stuff they did in their lives was shady, they made sure the women were taken care of properly. Alex was sick for what he was doing to Bella & her sister wasn’t any better for going along with it. I couldn’t believe her sister stopped that low. With a sister like that, who needs enemies? She met Sire at the right time. Remee & Rumour we’re destined to be together but things kept getting in the way. Will they get past it is the question. The book ended on a serious cliffhanger that had me ready for more. I’ll definitely be diving into the rest of the series plus the spin-off. I recommend this book & this author to everyone.
Arabella was suffering in silence because of Alex. With a sister like Keke and trifling mother. You don't need enemies. I will never understand how a mother would allow a man to abuse her children and turn a blind eye to it. Sire protected Arabella as much as he could but he had something he was trying to hide from her. Rumor had it bad too. Her mother didn't seem to give a damn about her. Although Remee had her back. He hurt her more than anything. I'm honestly surprised she forgave him after what happened to her and her son. Cahir was rude and cold hearted but Eternity is starting to break down his wall a little. Well at least it was looking that way until he had to mess it up
I don't know how to be more mad at: the men or the women
These guys have these amazing females in front of them yet they treat them bad for these no good females that use them. I don't get it. I'm happy for Bella but lowkey she deserves more than what Sire is offering up. He should have been left his BM and be with Bella as soon as they reconnected. He not in love with her and only tie to her is their supposed daughter (I think the truth might come out otherwise, just my opinion). I though Rumer was finally getting the love and family she deserved with Remee but idk how he slipped out like that. That ending had me shook. I cannot wait for part 2 to see if the couples make it through because it's not looking good for any of the 3 at this point.
I was genuinely appalled by the normalization of violence and abuse towards women. I genuinely kept reading thinking there were going to be consequences for the men or at least realization that how they treated women (in general) is not ok but it never came. The McKenzie men were just as bad to women in general, as the men they were supposedly protecting the heroines from.
The men absolutely did not deserve their happy endings.
Terrible book that normalize and encourage femicide in a community where it’s already huge problem.

Ms Tina, What?? I need book 2 to come on.... This is off to a great start... Editing needs some attention though.. The women, wow sidepieces to some crazy men... Bella's sister still needs her Butt beat. Sire doing a whole bunch, thank god he paid Alex a visit, but he is foul about his life. Rumor and A Reema, HE just cannot catch a break, A'laya is his, and hope the truth comes out, after she recovers. Eternity she has a complete NUT job in Cahir.....
Rem is getting on my last nerves with his indecisive behavior with Rumor. Jordan is a hot mess, along with Shay trifling self. I love Sire but he was wrong for not telling Bella the truth once he reunited. Cahir is a nutcase, but I believe his heart with warm up in part 2! These guys definitely know how to put the loving on their women. Please hurry up with part 2!!
Omg i hope the kid is ok Rumor cant lose another kid. Remee just cant get it right i really hope he get a test for Shay baby he should have told Rumor bout it all. Bella an Sir i wonder how this going to turn out i just wished he would have been upfront with her an let her know bout his daughter. Eternity an Cahir is a mess. Cahir dont know what he want to do how he acting all crazy he want her one min then he dont. Cant wait to read 2.
Where do I begin! Sire & Arabella were perfect. I was hoping for a different outcome but I'm glad Alex was finally handled. They should've gotten the mom and sister too! Remee & Rumor have been through so much together. The ending has me all in my feelings. Eternity is breaking through Cahir's tough exterior which no other female has been able to do. I enjoyed this story tremendously.
The story was ok when I thought she wasn’t gone be getting raped by Alex. Once I got to that part I couldn’t keep going, she too damn old to be letting this happen to her. I hate books like this she’s not a little kid, at this point in her life she knew she had options, if she was gone sit around and allow him to rape on her then ANYWHERE would have been better than there.I don’t wanna read the rest.
Good Read This book was good from beginning to end and what a ending. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. It was full of drama, lies and secrets that made it a good read. I really like Sire and Bella together and I hope he's really Jael father. After that ending, I can't wait to see what happens next. Good job Tina Marie
This was a really good and thought out book. Random is straight crazy. Eternity got turned on by him but I would of fun for the hills. I hope Sire and Bella finally be together foreal this time. I wonder he is the father of her daughter and if Tamer is Rumor's daughter Dad. I definitely this book and can't wait to read part two!
As a Christian Fiction reader, I picked this book because the writer was recommended. Great story line but too much disrespect of women. Surprisingly so written by a female. I do want to encourage new writers, but is this what we want to be? Good story line Tina, I will read the nest one. You did strike my interest.
Great book. I pray everything work out for Remee and Ru. Bella deserves nothig but happiness after all the pain she's been thru. Sire needs to make a decision and i hope he makes the right one. Cahir has issues. Will Eternity be able to forgive or forget. The anticipation just got real
I could not put this read down. My heart went out to Bella. I could not even fathom! Her sister is straight up trash!! I like Rumor, but she got on my nerves alot being childish and simple minded. Cahir is crazy!!! Sire is def bae! Remee is my boy. He gots to get it together. You should def read this asap.
Man this book just took me on a roller coaster ride. The ups the downs. The lows the highs. I must say that I enjoyed every word of it though. With that being said I need Ransome, Remee and Sire to get they $hit together though. Done had me missing sleep trying to see what's bout to happen. They picked the worst of the worst to procreate with WHEW CHILE!!!!!
I was very surprised, the beginning was a bit slow . I didn’t get into the story straight away . I would like to see how Cahir is going to handle the situation . He is one of my favourite character so far in the book . Hummmm i had to say I am feeling sorry for Rem . Let’s read book number 2
Those Mckenzie Men Are So Damn Complicated, they need to get it together and stop playing with Bella, Eternity, and Rumor. These women deserve happiness, and I hope in pt 2 they get it together. I'm praying 🙏🏾 that Rumor and Remee daughter make it. It's definitely a good story .
I’m so mad at this to be continued right now!! Thank god Part 2 is coming soon. I really hope Rumor can make it thru this situation because if she doesn’t I think it just may be the thing that breaks her. Remee tries to get it right but it’s always something that gets in the way. Cahir is a special one to say the least. I hope he lets Eternity in and allows her to love him. I hope Sire and Arabella can work things out. I can’t wait to see what happens in Part 2.
This book was dope omg I hope a'laya be ok rumor been through soo much I'm glad her step dad got what he deserved so nasty and her sister ain't no better whew the drama in this book I cant wait to read the next one
Wow!!!,, I’m glad Bella was able to be in control of her virginity,, it’s crazy dat her own mother nd sister were against her,, I hope Laya will be ok,, I can’t wait for part two,, dis read had me so drawn I didn’t wanna put it down
Sire & Arabella are perfect together, but he should've told her about Shay. Remee & Rumor have been through so much together, I can't wait to see what happens next. I want Cahir's to have love and Eternity can give it to him he opens up to her.
I enjoyed this fast paced novel! It jumped around quite a but it was still fine to keep up with. The characters posed a lot of drama and kept my interest throughout. This is definitely a hood book for the books.
Even though the characters are a dead ringer for the characters in her ghetto love story book, it was still a good read. Kept me interested. About to download part 2! Let's go!
This book keeps you on the edge of your seat with all the drama going on. I'm happy Bella was able to get out of that toxic household she grew up in. Only ting I can say I want to see happen is some blood tests, cause I've got a funny feeling.......
