A Dog Days Mystery #7

Hearing Day Homicide

Rate this book
What do a dead judge, a bird organization, and a homeless woman have in common? That’s what Cameron Cripps Hayman would like to know. When Judge Lundstrom is murdered in her office with her very own gavel leaving her little Pekingese, Bailiff, behind, Cam and her crew set out to solve the case. But with Canal Days keeping her team busy, and a falling out between her last two Action Agency members, Cam finds herself searching for a new partner in crime. Josie Jensen, a mobile vet in town for the weekend, fits the bill. Between Josie’s keen intuition and her knowledge of the shady bird conservation group that seems to be running the county election for judge, the two of them set out to catch the killer before he flies the coop!

Didn't read the first 6 box in the series but it didn't seem necessary after listening to this, followed along well anywho but I'm tempted to start from the beginning to get to know the characters betters. A judge is found murderd in her office with her scared dog as a wittnes and Cameron Cripps Haymen that happened to stumble over the body tries to find out with her helping crew and her bf. Animal love is a big parts of their book and its very wholesome and cute in the mist of the murder investigation and the mystery is interesting as well.

Bad attitude!

This series started out to be a pretty good read, however the author's depiction of Cameron has evolved her into a c onceited (oh how wonderful I am) sleuth. This is not appealing nor interesting, lose the attitude and make this series become fun and enjoyable again.

How Cute!

As usual, this series is so much fun and very busy. Our friends are always getting into it up to their elbows when it comes to investigating a murder. And this time is no different. Plus it's Canal Days in town. So what do Cam and company do? The basics in coming up with suspects and that leads to trouble. So onward to the next book.
