Good book except for the fact that I don't laugh at jokes

A fun interactive book with kids
A fun read for kids. I got some good smiles reading. A good game for Kindergarten and primary teachers. Parents you may lose to your kids.

I'm very grateful to the authors for giving me an ARC of this book via LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review.
I think this book is just what we need in these strange times, and it will especially come in handy to families with children. However, as an adult, I could also appreciate the jokes and going through the book really brightened up my day.
What I especially liked is the interactive concept where the family could take turns to challenge each other with jokes from the book. A great idea in the future would be to turn all the editions into a card game! Children could even compete to come up with puns and jokes of their own as a response to the prompts!
Another aspect that I absolutely enjoyed was that the pronouns used for the people and animals were mixed, with she and he and they all used throughout in a natural and inclusive way. It may seem like a small thing, but it's important for kids to see that a teacher isn't always automatically a she or an athlete a he.
Humour is definitely something humans should learn to appreciate as early as possible, because it makes life better in every possible way, and this book is a huge step towards that.
