Sanditon: Before and Beyond: A suitable ending to the unfinished work by Jane Austen

Rate this book
Based on the TV series Sanditon, I have looked deeper into our much loved characters, providing their history. The story continues to fill in the gaps and goes on after the series ends, with jeopardy to be resolved, misunderstandings explained and Happy Ever Afters to be sought.

This author did an outstanding job finishing what Ms. Austen started but was unable to do before her death. I was amazed how well she took characters from the chapters that Ms. Austen introduced in her novel picking up where she left off spinning a delicious story that continued to develop each of their stories. She added new characters and themes to round out the story. It was well done and stayed very much in sink with Jane Austen's style of writing and character development.

It was an arduous ride for Charlotte and Simon but the reader was finally rewarded with their HEA by books' end. Both Simon and Charlotte possessed traits and characteristics that made their relationship one that endured sacrifice, poor communication, and missed opportunities time and time again until the final chapters. The time period as well as the social ramification of the period made it difficult to actually pursue a relationship with someone since so many marriages were arranged.

I really enjoyed that this author took a story that was not able to be finished due to the timely death of it's author and retold the story with a flair and dedication to detail that would have made Jane Austen proud. Great Job.

I would recommend this book especially to people were disappointed in the film ending. At first Ms Blue was a litte

Stiff where she took over the narrative. Soon she seemed to find her voice and wrote a very good ending for Sandition.
