Lisa There was no way that I could have screwed my life up this bad. I would not sleep with a hockey player after one night of doing way too many shots at my cousin’s anniversary party in Las Vegas. I certainly wouldn’t do a walk of shame early in the morning after leaving his room after sleeping with him all night, at least not before peeping to see what type of equipment he was working with. And, I sure in hell would not return home to discover that I was pregnant by a guy that wasn’t even my type. Now, I’m embarrassed. Let’s not leave out ashamed. Everything is just too complicated. Chris is being difficult. Who knew? But, I have a plan. I’m willing to date him to see if we’re compatible because being a single mother is not what I’m trying to do. However, Chris doesn’t want the easy way. He has decided he’s all in. He wants to play for keeps, yet can he handle all of this fire that I’m bringing?
Chris Lisa believes that she isn’t my type. She would be wrong. The night we spent together was memorable because it was the best night of my life. It certainly wasn’t memorable for the reason that Lisa informed me about the night of a charity function. She was expecting my baby. It was a surprise, but I was a grown ass man. I was willing to accept responsibility for my actions. She wanted us to live together to see if we could make a go of a relationship. But, I refuse to be her baby daddy. I was going to make her my wife and prove to her that the night we shared in Vegas was more than just a fluke. We were meant to be together. What happened in Vegas wasn’t meant to stay in Vegas. It was meant to last a lifetime, and I’m all in.
This author maybe needs to stop writing her books all at the same time. Im not even the author and I know that Connor married Haley and not Ava. Why are you always mixing yours characters up. So frustrating
Getting drunk in Vegas turned a good girl a little bad. Chris and Lisa were sweet together and was my favorite of the 3 couples. Their situation was one they never expected but Lisa did the right thing letting Chris know she was pregnant and I loved that Chris immediately wanted to do the right thing to be a father, and whatever it took to make Lisa happy. The constant racism was unpleasant, but they handled it well. Loved Chris's swag and Lisa's sass. Very good story. Sweet, funny, and beautiful to see that true love has no color. A few errors in mixing up couples names again, but still worth reading. ☺👍
The book is an easy read. You will soon find yourself wondering what’s next. I enjoyed how the book took us from these two just being acquaintances that felt like they had nothing in common to a twist of fate that makes them relook. I loved how both took a chance on love, commitment, and family! I wish the book was longer and covered more about Lisa and Chris life before they met it seems like there is more to the story behind each character. A feel good story....ALL IN!
When I started reading this story , I was getting a little annoyed at Lisa because she was a tad much. I get that you made a mistake and get that things happen but sometimes we need to be quiet. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters it was sweet and sexy at the same time. The writer not only gives you a dose of reality but gives you life's true lessons. This was not only entertaining but it was rather enjoyable. I so wish we could get a glimpse of these characters down the line.
Wow I really enjoyed this story and the characters were really entertaining and believable! Loved the story line and the journey the author took you on! The issues Lisa faced are truly what every black woman faces on a daily basis! Loved how she handled Taylor. Chris was believable in that he learned how to be there fore his wife and let her take the lead and truly support her! Loved the chemistry between Chris and Lisa it was smoking hot and intense! I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed!
I've enjoyed this series very much. Short stories; but really quite detailed and developed. The only downside was the editing. Missing letters, wrong words and wrong names were constant in each book of this series. Not enough to hinder my enjoyment of the stories; but enough to irritate. Editing mistakes should be the exception; not the rule. That being said; I'm going to keep reading this author's works and would recommend her books to other readers.
I enjoyed reading Christ and Lisa's story. This was a wonderful read. The problem I had with the writing was a few mix up with the names and a few words. With that said it was still a good read, and I would absolutely recommend reading this book to anyone who enjoy reading a sweet, funny story that started out with liking each other to loving each other. Great story Renee Willams please keep these wonderful stories coming. Thank you.🙏👍❤
True love doesn’t come easy, Chris and Lisa wasn’t looking for love, however love found them. I love Chris, he is the quiet type but not a pushover, don’t mess with his or you will see who Chris Banks is. Him and Lisa are different in so many ways but together they make perfect sense. Quiet strength vs loud and confrontational strength. I love them together and the babies 🥰🥰 Who is next: Greg?? Can’t wait!
This story is fire for many reasons. Here are two. One, Chris is everything. His character is so solid and sexy. He grounds Lisa and learns her truths in a raw and beautiful manner. Two, the author deftly handles issues of race, class, and bias with breathless authenticity.
I absolutely love the characters the storyline and the ending I want to read more books like this the author is a wonderful writing I could not go to sleep until I read the book to the end at 303 in the morning I am going to recommend this book to family and friends it was that good
Okay I have read all 3 and fallen in love with them all, Renee Williams, you are awesome. I will be following you, please continue to keep writing fabulous stories and I will keep buying. To me Lisa & Chris were my favorite of the 3 stories, probably because there love you really felt.
Chris and Lisa had a drunken one night stand in Vegas. She ends up pregnant. She is a doctor and he is a hockey player. She is a black woman who is highly opinionated, he is a white man who she believes is whiter than white. Good story, however there are a few writing flaws, mixing up of names, an over the top Sojourner Truth moments, otherwise not bad.
This book was just as good as the previous two! I like this one better than the first two. I appreciate the author’s highlighting the interracial difficulties but it has been too much with the second book as well. I loved how wonderful Chris was to Lisa. I’m looking forward to the authors writing about other teammates!
Chris is a man who has worked hard to get where he is at in the world of Hockey. Lisa has worked equally hard to become a doctor. While in Vegas celebrating with mutual friends sparks fly & chemistry ignites between these two. The rest is proof that what happens In Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. Enjoyable read. 🥰
I think Renee Williams is my new favorite author. I'm in love with all her books so far and All In with Chris and Lisa didn't disappoint. Chris and Lisa had a slow sweet love that you truly rooted for and they were just perfect for each other. A definite good read.
Great read. Loved Lisa and the fact that she didn't try to run from Chris, but instead approached him about being pregnant and what she wanted to do. I enjoyed that she taught him about racism and he didn't fight her on the issues but stood by her side. One of !y favorite couples yet. 🌟💗🌟💗🌟💗🌟💗
Great follow-up to the previous two in this series. I loved Lisa and Chris. And I appreciated how Ms. Williams kept both characters true to themselves. Lisa, the confident, accomplished, doctor and Chris, were a pleasant surprise. This book had me laughing out loud several times and swooning other times. So glad I took a chance on Ms. Williams!
I like how this author deals with the issue some interracial couples deal with. I also love how she paints alpha males. Please continue with showing the beauty of black women.
This was a good story and a quick easy read. In the end, I wanted more. I was curious about Chris's family, and wanted more from Lisa's family. It felt good to read a story that didn't exhaust me on the road to HEA. Bravo!
I really enjoyed this series. So relevant to things we are currently experiencing. Each book had a unique twist that was very enjoyable. There were a few errors, but nothing so big that took away from the series.
This one was okay. Not as bad as the first book (Mercy) but not as good as Speechless. The author kept messing up the character’s name for example Conner was often replaced for Chris . All in all it was an okay story
Wow this series were on point. Ms. William's you're one of my favorite author now. Keep them comming. I really enjoyed all three books and I love having a glimpse into the other character's life. Good job!
Good read I’m glad Lisa did not get mad at Chris for telling her family about them that was good bc she kept putting it off and I’m glad he checked ppl who did anything to her bc BLM is soooooo true
This story was pretty good. I probably read them backwards cause I started with this 1. I liked the characters and how he learned a few things along the way. Good job!!
This was the best of all three, I liked the others
But this book was the best of them.
Lisa was sassy and so forthright, where Chris was laid back but no pushover. He was the strong silent type. Loved how real this story felt and the relevance to whats happening today.
Very good storyline When unexpected things in life hit you its how you deal with it that makes the difference Lisa and Chris were a great couple and seeing their love unfold was beautiful
Was a good read, liked that the female character was not a pushover like her cousin, also that she was educated, I liked that the male character was quiet but yet didn't let her walk over him as she thought she could.
I started reading this and was very skeptical about it but I pushed through and boy did I like it or what? This was awsome but wayyyyy too short. Lisa and Chris were cute more so Chris than Lisa but they both were cute.
When your one night stand turns into a life long adventure. Lisa lets down her guards and let the real self show for only one night. However after she discovers her pregnancy and informs the dad, Chris let his intentions be known from the jump. He's all in but will he convinces her to be?
