Don't miss out on the new Vince Bellator series from John Cutter.
Killing was more than just a living for Jack Sullivan. It was a mission. Sullivan is a mercenary with a talent for revenge, but he's not a kill-crazy psychopath – he works for a cause, and for what he believes in. Left a broken man after his marriage was cut short by his wife’s tragic death, Sullivan manages to turn his back on his brutal lifestyle. That is, until a fated meeting drags him back into the dark underworld of money, violence and revenge. With brilliant, heart-in-your-throat writing, snappy dialogue and unbelievable action, The Specialist series will hook you from page one. Praise for John 'A roller-coaster read' - Tom Kasey, best-selling author of 'Cold Kill'. 'Full-throttle action' - Matt Lynn, author of the Death Force series. John Cutter is the author of The Specialist novels, which inspired the Sylvester Stallone movie of the same name. He lives in the Pacific Northwest, USA.
I don't understand all the typos? To say it changes the pace of the story would be an understatement! I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was meant in regard to the present sentence. The typos run throughout all three books. This series is so full of suspense, that's what keeps you coming back for more. Loved the main character's depth. You have more chills, thrills and romance than you can shake a stick at. A very interesting, enjoyable and entertaining read. I would read books from this author again!!! I wanted to give a four star rating but the typos killed that!! (I am available for proofreading lol)!!
I could only make it through the first 100 pages. Truly awful!
If you don't have much of a plot and don't have much knowledge of weapons and tactics [and apparently are unwilling to do any research], kill lots of people - LOTS OF PEOPLE. This seemingly is the formula here. I imagine most who love this series are 14-16 year-olds who see themselves a the hero in Call of Duty. Maybe the worst of this genre I've ever read. Don't waste your time.
If you like lots of action, more action, and even more action, then these books are for you. Every chapter is filled with some type of combat or action scene. It's definitely good versus real evil. It's not great writing but the plot of the three books works well together. However, you should decide for yourself if this is your type of reading.
A trail of dead bodies from start to finish. The specialist is after the group who in the effort to assassinate him instead killed his girlfriend by bombing his boat. He is on the trail and wants to get to top person who ordered the killing. Nothing will stop him but many will beneath his revengeful power l.
This set of books was so spellbinding that I couldn’t put it down, I had to read it finish. The actions of Sullivan’s was of the greatest I’ve read about. I was relieve he survived. Just a pity Malta did die. Anyone that likes action and firestorm in books should read The Specialist
Excellent series of three books about the Specialist. I have not read him before and the stories ket e e turning pages as wyicj as I could read. If not for the gratuitous, unnecessary sex, I would have rated the rhree books with 5 stars.
Wow!! Grips you by the throat and doesn't let you go till the last page. This is no namby pamby PC correct heroine, this a man's man of action. Apart from the gratuitous sex scene, I enjoyed every moment.
Great plot and quirky characters. I love this style of all action mayhem. The thought of someone killing real bad people who have done real bad things is an interesting plot. Jack rules
About a mercenary called The Specialist who specializes in revenge. He and his contractors are up against a different bad guy in each of the three volumes. A Good read.
A man with well known principles out to put the world right. Kinda along the lines of Jack Reacher but different. Enjoyable and realistic but bordering on too violent in the descriptions for my tastes.
I liked the characters and all the action in this book. The author writes about weaponry and military action. The first book went pretty well but the second and third had multiple misspelled words and foolish mistakes that could have easily been caught by an editor.
Every time the word corner is used in these it is written comer. When I'm is used it is written fm. Need a better editor as it interrupts the flow while reading. Love the stories and characters though.
Why I read all three is a mystery to me. This character is so farfetched it's unbelievable. The clichés were plain dumb and too numerous to count. Not worth the time spent on this series. Sorry, John!
The specialist is the man you want in your corner. Great series, good characters, lots of action. Don’t read if you have a squeamish stomach. I’m off to buy the next set to see what happens next.
I didn't finish these 3 books in the series. The author changes subject in the middle of a chapter and I couldn't follow very well. I hope that others like the series better than I.
