The beautiful and free-spirited Raini Blue is a struggling artist with aspirations to have her own gallery. Believing she is content, she’s comfortable with her job at a local bookstore and selling her wares in the New Orleans French Market. But her world is about to shift when Tre LaSalle, the man with whom she shared her first kiss as a teenager, comes back into her life.
Between his new role as mayor of a world-renowned city and being a single father to his eight-year-old daughter, Tre has little time for relationships. Until Raini Blue. Intrigued by her beauty and her resistance to his charms, he is determined to win her over.
Tre ignites her passions and awakens desires long dormant, but Raini wonders if he can truly accept her bohemian lifestyle, whether or not her family’s checkered past will hurt his political aspirations, and ultimately, can she trust him with her heart?
I want my readers to escape their realities and embark on a journey of self-exploration and love when they delve into my books. I have loved reading fiction, thrillers, and romance for years. Although my original (and still) writing interest was YA and self-help books, I received a surprise text one Valentine's Day, and wrote the very first chapter of a romance novel that day. And I became forever inspired to write contemporary and new adult romance - with a twist.
Please take a ride with me, Tiye Love and hold on to your hearts! I invite you to check out my website and join my newsletter at www.tiyelovebooks.com, and follow me on FB @Tiye Love Books, and/or on my IG @tiye28always...
This was intriguing. Although Raini and Tre had a deep connection, I'm not sure if I would classify this as a second chance romance more of a reconnecting relationship. Their conversation in the coffee shop and the following painting session were VERY SPICY 🥵. To balance things out, we have love, passion, secrecy, and drama. Two totally different people. Raini sought control in her life, but Tre, an alpha male, was occasionally quite dominating and indifferent to her feelings. The book discusses their story in great detail. They had subtle adult versions of the insecurities they experienced as teenagers. Raini's mistrust and lack of trust in Tre at times was frustrating, but as the truth came out, I understood Raini decisions more, and the two of them confronted and worked through them.
My first read by author Tiye Love and she did not come to play!!!
Tre LaSalle is the new Mayor of New Orleans, a single father, who comes from a good family. Mayor LaSalle has it all except for an all-encompassing love that his heart desires. Tre knew what it felt once, a long time ago as a teenager, and has been searching for it ever since.
Raini Blue works in a Book/Coffee Cafe by day an aspiring painter by night or every free chance that she gets. Raini goes to the French Market on Sundays to sell her paintings. She has her best friend Royalty and her nephew Ryder, her two friends at the market Pierre and Lila and she is set.
In the month of March, the new Mayor Tre LaSalle and his team walk into the Bookstore and Raini Blue turns around only to be confronted with the one man she has ever loved since she was a teenager. Tre can't believe his luck that the one girl he never forgot now stands before him a grown woman and determines that this time he won't let her get away.
This was such an incredibly great story, full of love, mishaps, misunderstandings, passion, tears, and laughter. Tre and Raini are definitely in my top five favorite couples for 2022. I absolutely loved their story and is now a definite re-read.
I am now starting to read book 2 of this series "Unforgettable Man" and this time Raini's best friend Royalty takes center stage in this story.
4.25⭐️ “We were two young souls, with our whole lives ahead of us, not yet aware that after we’d kissed, we would fall in love for the first and last time...”
Tre and Lorraine (Raini Blue) story was a different type of second chance love. They share a passionate kiss at their high school dance & then she ends up disappearing like Cinderella lol Years later they see each other at the coffee shop Raini works at.
I enjoyed seeing their love journey. Tre being the Mayor & Raini being a free spirited painter, there was some bumps to get over but in the end it all worked out. ❤️
Unforgettable Kiss is well-written and had me rooting for Tre and Raini. Second chance love is one of my favorite plots and this one is full of love and plot twists, hooking me from the first page. Looking forward to reading Unforgettable Man.
I really liked this story. Tiye Love really did something here with this love story. I was routing for Tre & Raini the entire time. Their love was so pure I couldn’t stand it lol. I can’t wait to see what happens with secondary characters Devin & Royalty.
👍🏾 to Tiye Love. Tre and Raini, a great love story. This story was a real page turner and hard to put down. Looking forward to Devin and Royalty’s story.
This book was refreshing. I really enjoyed the story. Tre And Raini was so cute. I liked the twist about Raini's past. Definitely worth reading. Sometimes you just need a good love story. I can't wait to read about Royalty and Devin.
Rain's reunion with Tre was unexpected for both parties. There so much left unsaid and past hurts that needed to be addressed. It's interesting how they navigate a future together as adults with baggage.
Unforgettable Kiss is a love story that had my heart racing to see how the two main characters, Raini and Tre, story ended. Tre is the Mayor of New Orleans and Raini works at a bookstore and is an artist. Two completely different individuals. There is so much more addressed in the book regarding their story and where they first started. In the beginning I was so hard on Raini. I was super critical but once it was revealed that she had gone through some pretty traumatic things, I realized that she was just protecting herself. Tre was bae!! From the moment he walked in that bookstore I was sold!! But, he wasn’t perfect, there was a few times were I was like...please don’t mess this up. The big theme in this book was trust and it truly went both ways. The author did such a great job with this love story, I was so invested in their love like I had known them personally. lol. The ending was so beautiful, I literally shedded a tear. Very good read!!
There were times where I did not like Tre for Raini. I felt he was very domineering and dismissive of her feelings, and I felt she gave in to him too easily. When everything was revealed about the night of the winter formal and the subsequent events that occured, I realized they were blindly fighting for a love that spanned years. The fear of losing one another again had them on edge during their attempts at a relationship.
I'm glad Tre and Raini was able to have their second chance at love. Clearly the kiss they shared meant more than the other thought. The same insecurities they felt as teenagers were subtly present in them as adults but they faced them and dismantled them. Tre really stepped up and showed Raini just how much he loved her and always knew she was meant to be in his life.
This was my first read by this author and it won't be my last. I really need to hear from Royalty and Devin. I know there's a good story they want to tell. I'm here for it!
I REALLY loved reading this book. It's cute how Tre and Raini were each other's teen crushes and didn't even know it. They shared an unforgettable kiss that night which was Raini's first kiss and later in life shared another first for Raini. I like that Tre was always in protective mode when it came to Raini and how he got justice for Mr. Deaux’s and reopened Deaux’s Auto. I like the relationship between Raini and Tracie and that Chloe's not being the bitter baby mother anymore. I so believe that Devin Toussaint is Ryder's father and Royalty is trying to keep Devin at a distance so he won't find out that they have a ten year old son together. I think that the next book is going to be about Devin and Royalty and that it's going to be explosive🔥🔥
Every since I read a sneak preview chapter of this story last year, I've been eagerly anticipating it's release! And after finishing it up, I can say that it did not disappoint! Raini and Tre's love story played out over a span of 17 years beginning with a kiss. And what happened after that, leading up to the time that they finally met again, was traumatic, surprising, inspiring, and in the end proved to be very heart warming. So glad Cinderella finally got her Prince! Now I need to go re-read One Week, because there was another unexpected revelation made that would have slipped by me if not for a certain character reference.
Unforgettable Kiss was a nice second chance love story. Not everyone gets a second chance at having the person they have always loved. Tiye Love does not disappoint at all. This was very sexy, relatable love story. I enjoy that the author makes you fall head over heels with her leading characters. It is so hard not to love her characters and it was no different with Raini and Tre. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
This is my first time reading a book my thiw author which I thoroughly enjoyed from the beginning. It flowed well and I loved both Rain and Tre love story.
This was such a good love story! My heart was always with Raini from her high school days til the last word. I was protective of her heart and as I learned of the past with Tre I was side eyeing him. It was so much more to this story that I never would’ve imagined. I can’t wait to read what comes next for this author!
This was a cute quick read. The only thing that bothered me is that the secret was really not a big deal. She could've told him about it from the beginning, but i guess that would've defeated the story
The heart never forgets. Loved how time doesn't change feelings, it matures and helps you appreciate life. Emotions can make you do good things Tre was definitely a man that had the best intentions for Rain
Tre and Rainie are different but more than good for each other, the perfect compliment. What they couldn't get right in their youth is righted but not without a few hiccups. I enjoyed reading this story.
I loved this story Tre and Rain was definitely Couples goal. They were definitely meant to be together. The book definitely held my attention from start to finish.
This book was everything. I loved it from the beginning to the end. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. I just enjoyed reading this.
This was a really good book! I loved the way Raini & Tre found each other again. Although to short for me, the middle to the end was the best part to me.
Unforgettable Kiss by Tiye Love is about artist/ coffee bookstore worker Raini Blue and mayor Tre LaSalle. Raini knows exactly who Tre is when he walks into the coffee shop she works at, after all you never forget your first kiss. Tre is immediately interested in Raini but she brushes him off. But she can’t help but reminisce on her high school days and wonder what if? However Raini is in a relationship with a man she can’t see herself with long term. But I get it, they lack chemistry. Eventually Tre is able to wear her down, but it honestly doesn’t take much because these two are heated for each other! This is a second chance romance but not without its obstacles. Raini is good at keeping secrets! I was so shocked by the revelations! I was reading this book arguing with their decision making. Like if ya’ll don’t stop the foolishness. Tre and Raini are total opposites, he’s a mayor, born with a silver spoon in his mouth and Raini is barista that paints on the side. I love that the conversations and disagreements that they had were so realistic. Another plus is Raini’s found family! Oh and I can’t forget to mention Tre’s daughter Tracie, she’s adorable and the relationship she builds with Raini is sweet. Despite the stress these characters caused, I really enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series!
P.s. I’m super interested in Royalty’s story, she’s a mess but she’s a great friend. CW ~ cheating, mentions loss of a parent, mention of sexual assault
I started this book a while ago and just picked it back up today. It’s not my fave by the author. I almost didn’t finish a second time. Just wasn’t feeling any of the main characters. Compared to how I’ve rated other books this probably deserves 2 stars
Some random thought s as I read. I usually capture this through and couldn’t even bother after a certain point
Raini is so immature. Desperately wanting Tre to remember that she goes as far as lying about where she grew up. And to make matters worse she’s leading Wyatt on.
“Her son was the result of a brief fling, and she’d never told the father he had a son because she didn’t believe he would’ve stepped up to help her” I abhor women who do this
Glad Wyatt got his happy ending
She loves him but still lying to him. 🙄
“ My father taught me to be responsible and treat everything I do or person I meet with respect” Raini forgot this lesson when it came to Wyatt but I digress.
I still can’t find it in me to like Raini. And she’s easy af when it comes to Tre. He dismissed her and her job and one lil apology and she’s a,ready forgiving and moist 🤮 She didn’t even address Chloe sleeping over yet. I guess no need for clarification because she’s in heat
“You hurt me back then, and I didn’t want to feel more pain or embarrassment if you didn’t remember me.” At her big age… this is so pathetic
