This was a very good story, but, obviously Nees Has a great love for classical music/piano. So much so that he forgot that his readers want mystery, intrigue and adventure, not way too many pages of discussion of classical music. Luckily, was able to pass over much of it without effecting the story and this was a Kindle no charge read or I would have asked for my money back. Will try one more, if Nees goes on another unproductive tangent for his personal ego, it is one star and GOODBYE!
Absolutely love it. I continue to enjoy the shaman touches and absolutely loved the Jose Wales/Ten Bears reference. I am looking forward to more Dan Stone and was crushed when I realized there wasn't another book to follow. Keep up the great work as I'm sure we all look forward to another chapter of Dan Stone.
I am warming to the blend of spy novel with a touch of the supernatural. This was introduced halfway through book one, and I almost put it down. I thought; why mess up a good story with that BS ? But, I kept reading and the TOM CLANCY meets STEPHEN KING combo started to work for me.
I had trouble putting down this part of the ongoing saga. Once again David has strung together a sequence of intertwining storylines in a way that makes you turn the page to see what happens next. Now I am on to book five, because not only am I forced to turn the page but also the book😎😊😉
Another good Dan Stone story but a little too much info on classical piano for my taste. Lot's of action and a real page turner once the storyline focused on the real Dan Stone. Too many unfinished questions at the end of the story which I detest. Ness should seriously consider a true conclusion to his novels. Were fans and we'll buy the next book.
This is not a genre that I often read, but I find that the author develops interesting and diverse characters which he knows how and when to insert into the story. Quality of writing is excellent, and storylines are well thought out and intriguing. There is plenty of action and occasional romance. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
This one hit the right notes. Good story plot a nd I enjoyed learning more about the piano when played to perfection. Hope we get to read a out Dan's encounter with the scorpion
Started out much like the James Bourne series and with many of the same nuances that made it difficult to set down. Interesting interplay with the feelings expressed for the classical music interludes and likewise intense for the battles.
I highly recommend this book and this series by David Nees.
Another fast moving hard hitting book about terrorism and one man's war against them. If you enjoy reading fast moving thrillers then I highly recommend this book and this series by David Nees.
The author said he waited a long time to write this book in the series. He should have waited longer, as In forever. The action and villains are good, the silly relationship in the midst of memory loss... not so much.
Definitely a story that grabs your attention and holds it. Excellent descriptions, fast plot lines. Great characters. Romance, music and mayhem, all in one book!
Liked it but didn’t love it. Too much about the piano to keep the story flowing to my liking. Took me days to complete and that usually means I lost interest at points in the story. Still like the series though.
If this were the first book in the series, I wouldn’t have read more than 50 pages. The storyline was bogged down, disjointed, and clunky. I really liked the first three but this was quite the departure. I’ll give book five a shot but i may be looking for a new series if this is the new look.
Another great Dan Stone novel. I will say it started out a little slow but quickly picked up as Dan got back to doing what he does best ( killing bad guys)!!! Don’t think twice about grabbing this book just do it. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series!!!
Worst Stone yet, unless you are really into concert pianists, classical music, and the "spirit world." Stone Books 1 and 3 were 3 stars. And this one is barely a [courtesy?] 2. Mostly just boring.
David Nees is one of my favorite writers. I was impressed with his knowledge of piano and classical music. The "watchers" is such a unique idea to incorporate into his stories. Well done!!
This book was intense and fascinating. I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. Another outstanding book by David Nees. All his books are extraordinary.
