Rate this book
FREE Download on Kindle Unlimited! When Hettie Mast’s fiancé leaves her the week before her wedding, she’s heartbroken, embarrassed and ashamed. So ashamed, in fact, that she lies to cover the betrayal. Even so, her heart dares to hope, and when she meets Amos Wengerd, she wonders if perhaps all is not lost. Maybe there still are good men out there. Amos has a fall and is badly injured. Hettie worries for him and for his recovery. And she worries, too, that he doesn’t feel quite the same way about her as she does about him. But Hettie has more to be concerned about. Tangled in the web of her own lies, she isn’t sure which way to turn or how to get out. And until she confesses everything, a happy future will forever stay out of her reach.

Amish Romance

Hettie was engaged, but a week before the wedding her fiance disappeared. When Hettie went to his parents home she found out he married some one else and left. Hettie kept that to herself, and told her family and others that he was caring for his sick Mother. This lie is going to hurt her eventually. Good story with a Happy e ding.

Jilted by a long time suitor, our young heroine goes to work for a construction company and meets Amos who seems to be accident prone. Long story short, they get together and the rest is history.

Something new

I read books much like this one frequently. However, this one had me on an emotional ‘up and down’. I found the plot believable which is a plus.

Just stop and ask!

Sort of a lesson on life. We take so many things for granted without knowing or questioning what a person is really thinking or feeling
