Once you make it to the top, there is always someone waiting to knock you back down. And, as fate would have it, it's a woman he never saw coming who is able to cause Wren's walled-up heart to feel.
Wren Deloryne’s life has never been easy, coming from a broken wreckage of a childhood, he’s never had much hope for anything and knows he’s the only person he can rely on. And finding a woman to satisfy his baser needs has always been easy as pie, despite his dark past, and as far as he sees it the only thing that matters is surviving since everything he’s ever gotten came from busting his knuckles. Catapulted into street fighting since his teens, he’s knocked his way through and made it to the height of fame. Having everything at his fingertips that he can ask for, Wren thinks his life is made. But there is something that's missing. Something he can't put his finger on. As things begin to unfold in his life, it begins to seem as if the one thing he never thought to fight for happens to be the one thing he needs. Ambitious event planner, Alaira Saintarys, only wants to be successful at her own enterprise. Hoping to plan a fighting fundraiser, Alaira finds herself in an interesting business position, but nothing is as amusing as the enticingly mysterious Wren, who instantly steals her attention. But then, Wren’s left with amnesia after being peculiarly attacked leaving Alaira to question everything about her future and the man whose struck her to the core.
This was a very good read with plenty of drama to keep you turning the pages. Even though Qyree was a womanizer, I really liked him and Chey together. He met his match when he met her. I was happy to see that Von was getting herself together. I also loved how the ending brought everything together. I anxiously anticipate reading part 2.
Don't let the title fool you.. it's still Christian fiction with a lot of twist and surprises. I had to remember to breathe with all the secrets coming out at the end. I promise you have to read this book a.s.a.p. It's very very good and will keep your attention till the end!!
If you can overlook the constant syntax and grammatical errors, misspellings and uneven pace, you can appreciate a decent syory. However, the author should provide more background to make the main male character's sudden switch from streetwise backroom boxer bad boy to austere gentleman even mildly believable. It's not.
This was a different book, because it was a Christian book and not your typical drug dealers. Jaxson was a straight up dog and whore. But to raise your son to be the same way with sleeping with women all of these different woman was crazy. Qyree was just as bad as he father. After getting back with Chey he seem to have found God, and tried to change his life and his treatment of women was a good thing. Natalie was a home and she needs her some Jesus sleeping with the father and son. I felt some for Qyree's mom and what Jaxson put her through with his cheating with all those women.
This is honestly the first book I've read by Denora and it surely won't be the last! My mouth was literally left hanging open once I reached the end. Qy was doing the most and I couldn't believe because of all the things his dad taught him that he concluded that it was right. Jaxon was a piece of work and his karma is finally about to catch up with him. To know he would do whatever was possible to stay in the limelight proved just what type of person he was. Poor Zaria. She stood by a man when he had nothing, only for him to get beside himself once things started looking up. I sooooo love Chey! She truly has a heart of gold and the way she stepped up to help Von showed just how big her heart is. The relationship Chey and Von formed is genuine and it's clear they have each others best interest at heart. Who would've ever guessed Chey and Qy reuniting would have such an impact on his life. It's good knowing Qy is accepting of the changes within him and willing to work towards a better him. Natalia really needs to go away. I knew she'd be trouble from the beginning but her recent actions solidified things. Jaxon is just dumb and I'm shocked by who he's giving the position to. I'm so ready and amped about part 2 so I can see how everyone involved will get through the storm.
The title is misleading for avid Christian reader like me and if I didn't know this author wrote Christian fiction I would have been turn off by the title. Even though the title is not charming the story is good, the little golden nuggets that are dropped throughout the story are valuable lessons for life. The main theme of this story is what you sow you will also reap and that God is a God of second chances. We may still have to face the consequences of our choices, but we can still get a second chance.
I'm very interested in seeing what happens next in the lives of Chey, Von, Jaxon, Qyree and Zaria. And I'm so glad that this author didn't shy away from a very difficult topic. I'm hoping the author gives Von her own love story, it would be interesting to see how she puts that together considering the issue Von is dealing with. But, I know it can be done and it definitely would not be your typical Christian fiction story. We need to see more stories like Heaven Between Her Thighs, maybe they won't appeal to the average Christian reader, but there is an audience for what I call Urban Christian Fiction and it is having an impact on what we call the Y and Z generations.
Heaven Between Her Thighs is a Christian Fiction novel by Denora Boone. Readers are immediately introduced to Cheynese Broadus was the type of woman that any man would be glad to call his wife but she wasn’t the type of woman who just settled for any old man. If he pursued her he had to be serious because she didn’t just give her “heaven” out to anyone. When a man from her past resurfaces and she is tempted you will read all of the trials and tribulations. There were so many hidden secrets and connections. I felt like I needed to take notes so that I could keep up. There were several messages in the book as well, forgiveness, second chances, having faith, etc. This book deals with a lot of real life situations and tackles the dynamics of a family separated by good and evil. Sadly, the book left me hanging right when it was about to get super good! Hopefully, there’s a part two because I am anxious to see how this story pans out! Great job Denora! I look forward to reading more of your work!
Oh boy! You're killing me Denora! Zaria dropping the bomb like that! I'm dying to know what happens next....now I gotta wait! And Jaxon......oh please..he's definitely getting his, he's gonna reap what he sows as well as Natalia. As for Qyree, I hope is past relationship with Natalia doesn't affect his future with Chey. That's all I'm gonna say. I don't want to spill the tea about this book to the potential readers. I loved the book actually I've read ALL your books Denora and I was NEVER disappointed! Please hurry with book 2!
Another great book by Mrs Boone. Im so glad I was introduced to her work by her husband's cousin. This is book is full of twists and turns. Natalia is so messy and Zaria has had enough. With that said I cannot wait for Part 2.
I've gotta pick my mouth up off of the floor and untwist my lips! This was so good. Surely, I pray that everything turns out amazingly for Qyree and Cheynese. Can't wait for the next book! Love love love Denora!
To me a minute to read which might been unfair because a couple other books I've been waiting to read was released during me reading this book so please read the end was juicy tho
