I enjoyed the story, really I did, however I rated it a 3 for a few reasons.

The first being the simple writing and editing mistakes that shouldn’t have been. Things like missing letters(I.e. missing the ‘t’ in ‘the’) and spelling errors. The biggest of these were the many places where paragraphs repeated themselves. The first time it happened, I thought I had somehow scrolled back and was re-reading a scene I just finished. However, that was not the case. There are places where entire scenes- 2 to up to 4 paragraphs- repeated. If I were giving stars on the basis of writing and editing mistakes, I’d of given Bridge of Legends 2 ✨ out of 5 ✨.

That being said - I DID enjoy the story, for the most part. It is a new take on magic and dragons that proved entertaining and interesting. Until it wasn’t. This author fell into the same mistakes that other fantasy series authors fall into.
First: The entire series is too long. There is too much filler and unnecessary writing. Which, of course, leads to my biggest pet peeve: The End Rush, where the ending is shorts, unsatisfying and anticlimactic. I really when authors rush at the end to tie up plot lines after keeping the beginning and middle of the books so drawn out that it’s all I can do to stay interested, awake, engaged.
If I were giving stars based solely on content I’d give Bridge of Legends 3 ✨ out of 5 ✨.

Would iI recommend this series to anyone: Ehh. Probably not.
Would I re-read Bridge of Legends: a hard, very hard no.

Total votes: 3 ✨ out of 5 ✨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Dragons, Danger, and a Love That Stole My Heart

Bridge of Legends swept me away from the very first page and didn’t let go until the final chapter of the complete series. This is the kind of epic fantasy that makes you want to binge-read through the night—dragons, strange magic, slow-burn romance, and impossible choices that tugged at my heart.

What I loved most was how deeply human the story felt, even with all the sweeping fantasy elements. Tamerlan and Marielle should have been enemies, but their chemistry, their struggles, and their impossible situation made me ache for them. I felt every stolen glance, every moment of tension, and every risk they took for love and survival. Their relationship was slow-burn in the most delicious way, and when the sparks finally caught fire, it felt earned.

Each book in this set adds something unique to the journey. From city intrigue to soul-shaking battles, and yes—even a city-sized dragon that had me wide-eyed and breathless—it was a wild, unforgettable ride. The pacing balanced action and romance so beautifully that I never wanted to put it down. And that theme of hope, love, and friendship pushing through the darkness? It hit me right in the heart.

Sarah K. L. Wilson has a gift for creating worlds that feel massive and intimate at the same time, and characters who feel real enough that I caught myself rooting for them like old friends. This boxset gave me everything I crave in fantasy: heart-pounding stakes, magical twists, and a romance that burned slowly but fiercely.

If you’re looking for a binge-worthy fantasy series with dragons, desperate love, and the kind of emotional depth that lingers after the last page, Bridge of Legends is a must-read.

Engaging and adventurous

Was a slow and unsure start to a good ride through cities on dragonback... meaning the Cities built on dragons backs. Was a little mushy in the second and third books regarding the budding romance, and some of the characters, though like able, were a little less fleshed out as could be. Overall a good series and interesting concepts with the Scenters who smell emotions described in colors, the canal people who religiously don’t go on land, and the Legends tied to dragons made into cityscapes.

Exciting!

I could not put it down! Excitement, adventure, mind-numbing desperation, and a heart-rending determination to persevere in the face of never ending feelings of hopelessness. The beauty of love, faithfulness to upholding a moral compass, the importance of true friends, and never truly giving up is only a small part of what makes this story sing.
The imagination of the author and her ability to understand the many facets of her characters is what makes these stories live.
Well done, Sarah K. L. Wilson!

I prefer the Bluebeard series to this one (for some reason the dual internal struggles of "i'm terrible for my love interest and we shouldn't be together for x, y, and/or z reasons" began to feel a bit dragged out by the time book 5 came around? xD) but it was still good and the ending was beautifully climactic. I will say Wilson is good at letting the worst things happen to her characters and continuing to escalate from there, which is a struggle of mine as a writer so I very much respect that ability!

Fun series

It was a fun, quirky series, accurately described. The writer changed the motivations of Ram and Lord Mythos between the first and second books, so that creates certain plot holes.
It was clever to have Mariel in the clock and have that as a mechanism for her to get to know Tamerlan prior to the spices.

As always Sarah K.L. Wilson is one of my favorite authors. This series is long. But as usual, it is filled with twist and turns. Loveable and not so loveable characters. One of my favorite things about this author is that many of her books have mysteries to explore. And things to puzzle out. She keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you know what is happening, she throws in a twist.

Legends and Dragons.

What a wonderful ride. Loved all aspects of this series. The characters were everyday people that you can relate with. Love the twist on magic. And like the rest of the main characters, I will miss Jen.

Enjoyment plus

A pleasure to read a book that maintained interest, slowly revealed its secrets and plots. A story of beliefs and magic , how people try to do what is right, within a love story.

Great read!

Great story involving dragons and legends, law and order and doing the right thing even when not in your best interests for the greater good! Would highly recommend both the author and the story!

Stick with it

This was a good set. There were a few places where I got a bit bored, but trust me and stick with it. It all comes together nicely and the way it worked out was great.

Enjoyed!

Enjoyed this fast paced series. Better than the average Dragon series that are too similar. Characters were believable and good.
