Sometimes four weeks is enough… and sometimes it’s not…
Lillian Charm is content running Charming Inn. She has everything she wants or needs. Well, she kind of regrets her purchase of the house next to the inn. She wants to turn it into a guest house. But It has been nothing but problem after problem.
Gary Jones comes to Belle Island for a brief vacation… oh, let’s be honest… he’s hiding out from his past. He knows it and anyone who knows who he really is knows it. One other reason to make sure no one finds out his true identity.
Gary takes over the job of rehabbing the guest house for Lillian. At the very least it will keep him busy, and maybe it will help him hide from his memories and the overwhelming guilt.
But when an accident at the guest house makes it seem like history is repeating itself, Gary knows it’s no longer possible to hide from his past.
Lillian and Gary have only known each other for four short weeks… and that may be all they have.
This is the delightful continuation of the Charming Inn series. Sara and Noah are making wedding plans and then there’s Charlotte. What’s up with Ben and Charlotte? Of course, we’re still waiting to see what happens between Robin and Jay. Visit all of them along with your favorite Lighthouse Point characters.
Kay Correll is a USA Today bestselling author of sweet, heartwarming stories that are a cross between women’s fiction and contemporary romance. She is known for her charming small towns, quirky townsfolk, and the enduring strong friendships between the women in her books.
Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, knitting, or playing with her puppies - a cavalier who is too cute for his own good and a naughty but adorable Australian shepherd. Their five boys are all grown now and while she misses the rowdy boy-noise chaos, she is thoroughly enjoying her empty nest years.
I am so enjoying this series. I am currently waiting to have spinal fusion surgery. I am in a lot of pain every day and am no longer able to do very much. These stories take me away from my own life and bring me to the lovely island of Belle Island and into the lives of Lillian Charm and all her family, friends and neighbors. These stories have been my saving grace!
Four Short Weeks: Return to Lighthouse Point: Charming Inn Book 4 is by Kay Correll. Nothing ever comes easy at Charming Inn. Something is always a moment away from an emergency. All Lillian could do was take one problem at a time and hope the rest could hang on. Gary Jones rolled over and realized he had slept for ten hours! That was unimaginable, he never slept in. He decided this was a good omen for this vacation? he was on. He felt guilty for being here and leaving his son as CEO having to handle everything. He should be there; but he was glad he wasn’t at the same time. Guilt surrounded him like a cape. He hoped his time here at Charming Inn would help him. Now what was he going to do? Knowing Jay wanted to see her about Magnolia House which they were renovating, Lillian headed that way. Jay met her and told her she should fire the contractor. Not only was he chronically late if he showed up, Jay found he had to go behind Vince and make sure everything was done to code. At this rate, they would not be open on time. Lillian agreed and sighed that they would have to hunt for a new contractor. Gary had been just around the corner when he heard them talking and came around to confront them. He offered to become the contractor for them as he had some building experience. He offered to go through the house with them and see what still needed to be done. After seeing him at work, Jay grudgingly agreed to see how he worked out. He made sure Gary knew he would be watched. Gary offered to move into Magnolia House as he finished the work leaving his room at Charming Inn open. Lillian agreed but comped his room and board while he was working. Now to make sure he did things to code, he began reading the codes that very day. Jay is still not completely convinced about Gary and he intends to keep his eye on him. Meanwhile, Sara and Noah get engaged to everyone’s delight. Lillian showed Sara the wedding dress her mother had worn. It was one of the only things Lillian kept for Sara after her parents died. Sara was delighted. The next day, she told Lillian that they had chosen a wedding date- four weeks away! Could Lillian and Sara’s best friends create a wedding in four weeks? Nothing is simple at Charming Inn!
I'll never get tired of reading Kay's books and series. I feel like I know character ! Their headaches and triumphs , dreams and knowing what they love and stuck together like glue! And it looks like they have all found live, even Aunt Lil! I can't wait until book #5 to see what's going to happen! Kay could keep writing about this small Florida town for a long time! All these marriages will have children to continue to write about.
These are such sweet books. I can usually read one in a couple days. It’s nice to get away from real life and enjoy the idealic setting and characters of The Charming Inn. One thing I haven’t seen anyone else say, but they may very well have, is that they are CLEAN romances…no smut here, or anything even bordering on that. Lots of people appreciate that. A good, old fashioned, feel good series. Will be reading her other series after this.
I really liked this story. I'm truly surprised at the stories Correll comes up with for middle aged people. Loved these characters and the plot. Really looking forward to reading the next installment of this series.

Kay Cornell's books are always a joy to read. Stories of real friendship and relationships that are on an equal basis. You want to discover how the book will end but sad that it has ended. Loved everyone of her books.
What a great series. I love the characters and then whole plot. I can feel myself in this story. I can picture the sunsets. Can't wait to read the next story.
