Insights that help gain a positive prospective on living life with someone in recovery, as well as the tools needed

This was the 1st resource I used in tandem with my 1st few alanon meetings; however, this book can also be used in isolation of that! It has been so helpful that I have purchased it and given it to over 15 people this year. If you struggle with co-dependency or live
with an alcoholic or know an alcoholic at work ....or suspect it etc., this is the right book for you. Receive insight, encouragement, and hope today, tomorrow, and everyday: 1 day at a time!

First of the Al-Anon daily readers.

I found it dealt with concepts that may have been relevant during Al-Anon’s founding years, but have since become outdated.

I think there are better daily readers in the Al-Anon fellowship than this.

My Number 1 Book since the 1980's. So glad to get the e-book. I worn out my first hardcopy and bought another. I keep it with me... in my heart.

Spiritual Food

Good nourishment for those who live or have lived with someone suffering from alcoholism. Good words to help get one’s head and heart back on track.

another great daily reader

Another book that had helped me to grow and be my real self, grateful for CAL and recovery programs and my fellow travellers.

Someone told me that if I had some folks in my life that had substance issues I should read a book like this. It has given me a lot of ideas on how to talk to folks who might have these kinds of issues. I also read it from a one day at a time / devotional perspective, as that is how it is structured to be read I will say that so far, it has helped me quite a bit understand the needs of people and how to better communicate with them.
