Insta-chemistry and a quick tumble into kinky love. I like this series and characters. I also like that the guy makes the big move from Vancouver to LA instead of expecting her to do it.

NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING
I thought it was a thriller or something
But it’s a kink fest
Yeah no. Not my thing. Next time - read the blurb before purchasing 99p kindle deals

Quick read and well-written, but lacking in details for me. A lot of things were glossed over, almost as if the author didn't know how to explain them, so left them conveniently unexplained. As a result there are lots of gaps and jumps in the story and you don't really get a feel of what the characters are all about. For example, Mel can't be googled but Stuart says that when he reads about certain incidents, he knows she was involved even though her name was not mentioned. How does he know?? He hasn't had personal experience with her style of "fixing things".

Also I'm not so sure that a 9-year-old would still sit in people's laps. (Minor, I know, but it bugged me) (Said 9-year-old is Stuart's niece, in case you are wondering if either Stuart or Mel has a child)

I liked that Mel is older than the usual heroine. BDSM scenes are safe and consensual, but somehow didn't feel sexy.

Each thwack he lays across my ass has enough force behind it to make the [nipple] clamps jiggle, texturing layer upon layer of pain.

This man is entirely merciless.

And I love it.

I felt like we don't delve into the emotion together with Mel. She's telling us how she's feeling in a very clinical way, and I don't get to experience what she's feeling together with her. I felt detached in all the sex scenes. That's not what I want from a book like this. Couldn't sense much emotion between her and Stuart either, although I know it's there. Sadly, a rather disappointing read.

Lots of jumps

Lots of time jumps in this story left me reeling. I wasn't always sure what was going on or why it was important. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters.

I just got stuck after reading his friends daughter’s name Ffion.
After that I couldn’t take it serious anymore.

It's a quick read

It was an okay story but I would have preferred a deeper story concerning the main characters back story. Hone, I was disappointed

Heavier on the S&M than I like, the plot revolves around making long distance relationship work with a series of small suspense actions related to the heroine's job as a fixer. It would have been more interesting if the suspense aspect played a bigger role.

Power Exchange is not a typical BDSM story because it has an impressive and unique storyline. The story centers around Mel and Stuart. Mel Seymore lives in Los Angeles and is a prominent attorney and “fixer” for public figures, cleaning up their messes. Since most of her cases involve hiding proclivities, she decides that she wants to design software for these prominent public figures that share kinks so they could have more discreet hookups. Mel asks Stuart to help her. Stuart Cole lives in Vancouver and is a software developer that usually works completing secret, specialized projects for government agencies or large corporations. Since he does not usually work with private citizens, he declines Mel’s project. They were both surprised when they met again that night at Silvers, a “BDSM club for kinksters over a certain age.” They discover they are kink compatible because Stuart is a sadistic dom and Mel is a masochistic sub, and they have an amazing night playing together. Stuart eventually agrees to work with her on the software and they name it Fetwrk, short for Fetish Network. While Stuart is a sadist, he is also a caring, thoughtful, and romantic boyfriend. Mel is a strong, assertive, and confident female who is at the top in her field, which may surprise some that she is a masochist. Together they engage in an entertaining exploration into their attraction and needs.

OH. MY. GOSH. This book was great, but the narration was what really made the experience incredible. Oh, dear me as I fan myself, the voice of Frederick Forrester’s narrating was smexxy as heck. He can talk dirty to me anytime. Still fanning myself… In all seriousness, the female narrator, Rachel Music also did a fabulous job. The voice actors were enjoyable to listen to. Their voice quality and character distinction, pacing and rhythm, and emotional delivery were all on point. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and think the excellent narration added to the experience for me.

Phenomenal! This is such a great story – full of love, loyalty, and of course kink. Sadie doesn’t waste the reader’s time with trivialities. The story flows naturally and seamlessly through the course of Mel and Stuart’s relationship. From their first meeting and what precipitates it, to the finished product and then trying to find their way.

Mel is a fixer – one of the best in the business. The rich and powerful are not always discerning or discrete when they want to let their freak flag fly. When the worst happens, call Mel and she’ll get it fixed. But what if there was a safe and secure way to screen potential like-minded individuals? Enter app genius Stuart. If anyone can make it happen, he can.

The back and forth dynamic in chapters builds the foundation from both of the main characters, and helps to develop our understanding of what makes them tick. You are rooting for them to give in to each other from that first meeting, but when is the path ever smooth?

I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the Fetwrk series!

Mel is an elite Hollywood fixer... & she’s tired of fixing problems where some rich people are getting caught in bad sub/Dom problems when they’re playing with strangers. She contacts Stuart to ask him to create a secret app some of her clients could use. He doesn’t want to create the app, but changes his mind after sharing a night with her & then needing her help to fix his god-daughter’s problem.

Mel’s job makes her wary of personal relationships, & Stuart doesn’t even live in the same city. So they decide to casually hook up when they can.

But what happens when feelings get in the way?

Tbh, I read the 2nd book first, then went to read this one. This first book has some info on Mel’s job, but not a lot, which is what I really liked about the 2nd book, which had more action & drama. This one was a slow romance that just developed naturally until Mel & Stuart finally had their HEA.

This review express my thoughts about the book, I recommend you to read and draw your own conclusions.
This been said, I think the couple lacked chemistry from the beginning. Even during the scenes I missed more passion. The sexual tension was too short. Maybe with some insights in their heads we could really comprehend their feelings. The 'I love you' came from nowhere to me.
The plot was interesting but It could be more explored, like the app thing, Mel's job and her motivations, their lives apart. The arc involving Ffion was very good, but the ending was kind of simple.
Stuart made all the great gestures such as traveling and changing all his life for Mel and I couldn't see an effort of her own, sometimes all the feelings appeared one sided to me.
I'll give the series another try someday, because the overall idea has potential.

For starters, I know I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to this - but I hate it when books are not properly edited. Overuse of commas, such as "she took a long, hot, bath" drive me nuts. Sentences with words missing entirely is another one, such as "she a long, hot, bath". These types of mistakes are rampant in this book.
I agree with others, the sex scenes felt very clinical and not at all passionate. The chemistry between the main characters doesn't feel forced, but doesn't feel natural either, which made the entirety of their relationship rather dull.
Giving 2 stars instead of one because thankfully the author doesn't fall into the trap of making her strong female lead into a simpering idiot after the first bombshell orgasm. I like that she maintains her independence throughout. Also, her job duties could have been much more fleshed out, but I do like that it's something original.

This is one of those free books you should read reviews for before you read it. It's a romance which is problem one. 2nd, the author jumps around too much and the storyline I thought I was getting changed---again I didn't know it was a romance in the first few chapter. 3rd a BDSM romance was even more unsuspecting. I was at a lost why the author didn't get into details about the character's job as a fixer then realized details are reserved for BDSM scenes. Not my cup of tea and so I skimmed and read here and there for the last half. Yeah, a breakup and get back together with little nuance.

Meh. I’m not reading anymore of this series. This story just kind of went nowhere. Nothing really happens. The BDSM is meh. The blurb for this story is a bit misleading in my opinion. She’s a lawyer/fixer and he is an app developer. She wants an app made for celebrities so they can match kinks and hook up.
Some scenes were a tad confusing because the settings changed in the middle of them when the characters hadn’t actually changed location.

I think I’m going to pass on anymore by this author. It’s not the first I’ve read, but my last from them.
This was a freebie for me. Thank goodness because I wouldn’t pay money for it.

Mel and Stewart

I received a copy and listened to it through BookFunnel.
The narrators did a good job.

I enjoyed this. I found it interesting and entertaining. Mel works in PR for mostly it seems people in showbiz. When her clients seem to be in similar situations she decides to look to Stewart to come up with an app. for discreet hook ups. St first he turns her down, then they meet again at a sex club and hook up. Then they collaborate not only for the app but also explore their D/S relationship while getting the program together and out their. I love Mel and how fierce and fast she is when she is resolving some of these issues.

I listened to the audio book via BookFunnel. This was a quick read dealing with a little BD*M. Mel is a fixer for high profile clients. She first meets Stewart when she wants to design an app for the BD*M world for high profile clients to be able to not worry about stories getting out. At first Stewart turns her down, they later run into each other at a 'club' and hook up thinking they'll not see each other again. But then his goddaughter has some troubles with sites she has been on and he turns to Mel to help with the issue. Read to find out what happens from there.

*3.5 STARS*

I REALLY liked this one. This author is new to me and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the way the BDSM was incorporated into the story. I loved that the characters were a bit older, but I felt like everything was something that had be so invested in these characters, but then the epilogue (not really the whole epilogue) but the last line was just so blah, it really let me down.

That wasn't enough for me to say that I didn't like the story but I did knock it down 1/2 stars.

This has been in my TBR Library for a while and I finally decided to break it out and read it. This is a well written BDSM story and has awesome characters. The only thing is I would have liked to seen it a little longer but I can't give it a bad rating for that. Please remember this is a BDSM story if this isn't your type story you won't like this one. I would encourage you to get this one if you like this type story. This is one for a lazy afternoon or evening read.

Absolutely loved it

As well as being kind of sweet in places I loved there Dom-sub relationship. I found it 100% authentic and believable. Her bodies responses to Sirs actions were spot on. Unlike a lot of kink books I've read this one didn't feel it was a 'by the numbers' story. It felt real... so real I'd swear I could almost feel the belt on my own ass :)
I'd guessed the title was a nod to Fetlife as soon as I saw it

Stuart should be your next book boyfriend. But only if you like your caring, thoughtfulness, and love with a side of serious physical pain. Luckily Mel is a masochist. The building of their relationship is a joy to read. The pacing of this tale is on point. I read it in one sitting, even if Mel couldn’t sit some of the time. Great BDSM read.

Despite this being a pretty standard BDSM romance, there was something really compulsive about it. Like I wasn't super invested in the characters or the relationship, but I still wanted to know what was going to happen?? It was just very readable. I won't be reading the rest of the series, but it was a nice intro to straight BDSM which I don't usually read.

Sweet little BDSM story

Loved it. The characters were great, the plot not at all complicated, and the sexytimez were fantastic. There really wasn’t too much of a conflict. The book was more of just a story about two people into kink find each other and fall in love. Absolutely recommend.

Not for me

I unfortunately picked up the first two booms in the series and struggled to read this one. I skimmed a lot. Not because of the content but the writing. It wasn't deep or meaningful and a bit silly to me. Not sure I can read the next book. This one was difficult to finish.

Stuart and Mel

I liked the idea of someone who fixed up scandals and career- threatening mistakes as a job.The plot was good, and the idea of Fetwrk reminded me of FetLife. The bdsm sex scenes were good, the characters were well- developed and interesting .The book ,as a whole was enjoyable.I especially liked Stuart s character.

This is a quick and spicy story, with our FMC and MMC falling quickly into their Dom/sub dynamic. I enjoyed the growth of their relationship- even if neither party was willing to acknowledge that they wanted more!
I loved that it was the MMC that relocated. Stuart said what he said and showed the truth in his actions.

This book was underwhelming. Story lacked character development, had time jumps throughout, and most annoyingly, lacked scene detail while giving details that felt irrelevant. It’s as if the author was looking for things to fill her book but completely left out setting a scene. I have no idea where half of the conversations between characters took place.

Make it make sense.
