I had high hopes for this book based on the promising start, but unfortunately, it quickly unraveled into a frustrating and lackluster read. The story felt rushed, as though the author skimmed through key moments that could have added depth and emotional connection. Instead, what we got was a summary of a longer, more thoughtful novel.
The heroine, Jane, came across as desperate and lacking self-respect. Her obsession with Theo bordered on pathetic, as she seemed content to take whatever scraps of attention he threw her way. It was disheartening to watch her become a doormat for Theo's narcissistic tendencies. Theo, on the other hand, was inconsiderate and self-absorbed. Much of his dialogue revolved around his baby with the girl he had just dumped, making it hard to root for him as a romantic lead.
The love scenes felt forced, lacking any real chemistry between the characters. While the book repeatedly told us how attracted Jane and Theo were to each other, their actions and interactions failed to show it. This disconnect made their relationship unconvincing and unsatisfying.
What really sealed my disappointment was Theo's sudden decision to jump into a relationship with Jane as soon as he discovered the baby wasn’t his. It felt rushed, superficial, and narcissistic, as if everything revolved around his needs and wants, with Jane playing the role of an ever-patient bystander.
In the end, this book left me annoyed and unsatisfied. It had potential but failed to deliver on any emotional or narrative level. A solid one star for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

I have read all 3 stand alone Rock Star stories by this author and liked all 3. Each one is quite different and interesting.
For this book, I lked both Jane and Theo, but Theo was a little wishy washy at times. Make a decision and stick with it! Overall a good read. Not a lot of steamy scenes, but a cute Insta love story. Would recommend all 3 books and the author.
A great change in the usual stories. I liked the characters but the main guy was a little bit over the top considering how he treated his x and put his love interest aside. It still made a great story.
Excellent Camaraderie Between Both Sets Of Friends
I have never read any work but this author before and I found I quite enjoyed this novel. The characterizations were good and many, yet each clearly set up from each other. The camaraderie of each of the main character friends was a joy to behold; the main male character with his band mates and the main female character with her two closest friends. Both sets of friends were very loving and supportive people. Nice. This positive attitude made the story that much warmer in nature. I can see other stories coming out of this one quite easily and I hope to be able to read those novels as well.

Another quick read. It was so good. Ann Lexi Cole is able to put a full size novel into a small novella. I don’t know how she does it but I’m glad that she does. Both MCs have had such heartache. They find each other, only to have the greatest obstacle come between them and their happily ever after. I’ll definitely keep this one to read again and again.
