Born and raised in Texas, USA. Was a voracious reader as a kid, loved science fiction and fantasy but would read most anything, including the encyclopedia and dictionary. 20-year US military veteran. Married for 43 years to the same wonderful angel of a woman. Began writing a few years ago, but don't consider myself a professional author, just someone who's trying to tell a good story for others to enjoy.

This is not usually the genre I read, but man was this good! The non-stop action made it hard to put down and me accidentally reading into the wee hours of the morning. I will freely admit there was a lot of the military jargon that was unfamiliar but it didn't stop me from enjoying the plot and characters in this story. The POV does change a lot between several key characters in this novel. After a while though, it was easy to keep them apart and fall headfirst into this thriller.

It's funny but I kept thinking what a great movie this would be. It plays out just like that and there is a pretty big shocker at the end. I recommend this novel to those that love to read political and military thrillers, but even if this isn't your normal genre to read, you really need to give this fantastic book a chance.

I actually read the book several months ago. I loved it - the author has written very 'real' characters, a terrifying scenario (apparently more real than I realized as the Russians are experimenting with a very similar device- according to recent news). Basically, it is a book you can't put down.

Recently I have been listening to the audio version. The narrator, Curt Bonnen, is amazing. According to the bio, he is award winning and stellar with accents. After listening to him, I have to agree. He is outstanding. His accents are spot on and in this book, he has lots of opportunity to showcase them.

When I started this book I kept wondering "How/Why is it so LONG"? Well, it has to be because of all the action, suspense, unbelievableness there is in the book. I absolutely could not put it down till I finished it. I was on the edge of my seat. I could actually see what happens in the book happening in real life. It's a clean, very well written book. Grab your copy & enjoy the ride. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary opinion.

I'd give this a 3.5. The author definitely knows the military. For those who enjoy military thrillers, this one is for you. Too many POV characters which induced reader detachment from the story/characters-head-hopping in scenes. All-in-all, it was an interesting read and would do well as a movie script.

Not my usual cup of tea

This has been an exciting read from an author I was unfamiliar with. The characters were well drawn and the story line made me keep reading even when I knew I should go to sleep. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this sequence! Tom Clancy look out!👍 😊

This book was gifted to me and I wasn't sure I'd like it but I LOVED IT. It kept me reading, it never went over my head with military jargon, I stayed completely invested right until the very last page. Absolutely a great book.

Go Navy

Interesting story about tsunamis i have read about LaPalma and the possibility of such occuring. To have terrorist Nike the fault is genius, something to think about. Would recommend for military lovers.

Took a while to get into, but once in, I couldn’t get out. Definitely worth a read! Very descriptive and the author did a great job creating such relatable and likable characters. Totter is my favorite, you’ll see why. Would recommend.

Couldn't put it down

Spent some sleepless nights reading this book. Caused me to struggle to stay awake at work. It also makes me wonder how safe we really are against terrorists.

Lots of action, lots of POV characters, lots of military detail. I found myself a bit disconnected from the characters, but I think this will thrill fans of military thrillers!

I have to admit, it has been a while since I have read a thriller and I started reading this book, not quite knowing what to expect. Despite this, I am glad I gave this book a chance because it was well worth the read. I will say that at first it is a little hard to follow all the politics and military structure, but eventually things speed up and the events that occur keep you glued to the page. Once I got passed the initial slow chapters, I was staying up way to late in order to see what happened next. This is a well written book and I would highly recommend this to anyone that is into thrillers.
