Another good yearn about Reno and Sara. They meet Wild Bill and gain a friend when they travel back to their former home to visit their family’s graves. Plenty of action as per usual in this series. During this time they visit Arizona in their quest to pursue a well not outlaw and Wild Bill travels there to help them in their showdown with the outlaw and his gang.

September 12, 2020It looks as if Reno and Sara are maturing. Sara is softening. Reno is at a loss to understand the changes going on in their lives. The next book may show them maturing to a point that they begin to live normal lives. Can't wait to read it.

AW Hart – Avenging Angels Bk 8 – Wild Bill’s Guns – Reviewed 4/15/20 – Read 4/7/20
When Sara is kidnapped both Sara and Reno learn something else about themselves!
Reno and Sara Bass are back in Kansas again looking to capture a murderer. As they are pondering the problem of taking him they are stumped about the possibility of killing his 3 partners, as they did not have wanted posters on them, the weather turns dark. Kansas is known for tornados as everyone knows. While they work on that problem, they make friends with a timid deputy sheriff and take the paper on another Hardcase that is beating up and robbing the locals. It turns out the Hardcase is the blacksmith and must weigh about 300 lbs. Of course, he is not going in without a fight! Sara uses her new weapon, a sawed-off shotgun, it takes the blacksmith in the middle and kills him. Sara claims that she really likes it, and it will do the job for them! While Reno is taking the blacksmith over to the undertaker, he hears shots from the saloon. Out, runs their murderer, as shots ring out, the pair take down the 3 partners but Adams, the murderer takes off even though he took a shot to the chest. As Reno and Sara chase after him, the sky gets darker. The Avenging Angels are helped with the onslaught of the tornado which picks up and spits out the murderer. But the Angels are in for a night of rain and when the day breaks it is to a beautiful clear sky. They take Adams back to town for their bounty, and while waiting for it to be paid, Reno accepts a temporary job as another deputy Sherrif. They have made another friend of George the deputy and help him gain confidence and pride in himself. When the bounty arrives the pair are off again on another trail.. and so the story continues - - -
What did I like? The author has featured Sara before but not in this way. I think you will find it very intriguing. Sara has in the previous books, been sort of unknown to us as to her inner feelings apart from the avenging trail that their father bound them to. Now we have a chance to really get to know her. Also, as we have Reno doing the research and setting up for the rescue of his sister, you will get a look at another side to his character.
What will you like? Intense action, both by characters and landscapes. Mystery with a capital M! Intrigue, unique situations, interesting locations, and an exciting, deep and emotional read. Unbelievable characters that will definitely capture your attention. The storyline is incredible with everything ratcheted up for one amazing read. Extraordinary series that makes it hard to wait for the next adventure.
