Love. Success. A handsome husband, and a beautiful home in the close-knit town of Pacific Bay on the Oregon coast. These are the things glass blower, Olivia Arrington, cherishes. But in the aftermath of a life shattered by unexpected tragedy, she retreats emotionally. Not only from life, but from the husband who desperately seeks to reconnect.
It’s been two years since the loss of their young son and Ben Arrington is ready to leave the pain behind and find a way to be happy. But when his wife remains distant and mired in grief, he wonders if it’s time to move on—from the sorrow, and maybe even his marriage.
It would take a miracle to rekindle Ben and Olivia’s love and that miracle arrives in the form of an eleven-year-old houseguest, Ryan Barrett, who brings humor, hope, and unexpected wisdom to the situation “. . . when you love someone, you should say it a lot. People forget.”
Remember Us is a heartfelt story filled with powerful emotion, and poignantly depicts a couple’s reckoning with their own vulnerabilities until they find the redemptive grace to begin again.

I loved this book. Master storyteller Kellie Gilbert plumbs the depths of grief over the loss of a child. Believable characters and raw, naked emotions carry this tale of reconciliation and forgiveness. I love Kellie Gilbert's books and this one won't disappoint her readers. I highly recommend it.
Another wonderful book by Kellie Coates Gilbert. Believable and very real characters and their challenges make this an heartfelt emotional book. Ms Gilbert’s books are always so good, and touch on so many aspects of real life. I highly recommend this book. I easily devoured this book in an afternoon.
Love is a many splendor thing! There is heartache, joy, despair, sadness and new beginnings. Love can take a beating, but true love continues endures even when you think it may be over.
Even knowing Olivia and Ben will win out in the end, this was a difficult story to read. The death of their two-year son has gutted and isolated Olivia and Ben, endangering their marriage.
The catalyst for the resolution of their problems and working towards rebuilding their marriage is Ryan, an 11-year-old son of a family friend who stays with Olivia and Ben for two weeks.
I felt the author's descriptions of how the child's death affected both parents true and accurate. However, i felt Ryan's wisdom and understanding of the dynamics unrealistic for an 11-year-old.
My discomfort with Ryan's wisdom reduced my rating of the book. However, I enjoyed this book and will be reading more books by Kellie Coates Gilbert.
Wonderful , Well written, realistic story of a couple going through heartbreak.I love that Ryan the boy from book one was in this story, I always say " Angels are among us even in human form" This little boy came to be in this couples life at the right time.I literally cried through most of this book in one day , really good ,did not want to put down til I finished it.I would recommend this to everyone.
