After having descended to hell and stopping Satan for the second time, Alex returned to the realm of humans only to find demons and angels on the brink of all-out war. Angels were still being murdered, and in retaliation, the gorgeous but equally arrogant angels took it upon themselves to mete out “justice” on the demons. Alex didn’t like the angels much, but a war with them meant a war with God, the Almighty. And he wasn’t named that for not being… mighty. Is there anything he can do to stop the madness, or is humanity doomed to suffer a war between beings that were as old as time itself? This book, along with the two others in the series, contains a fair amount of violence and an equal measure of profanity. There is also lots of sex in it. Some of it loving, some of it, not so much. You have been warned!
Soooo basically I just got a second helping of the last season of GOT. I was super intrigued in the first book at the moral and emotional turmoil the MC goes through, and I tolerated the second one just cause it was fun. This ending of the series started off interesting and had me intrigued. I was really interested in where this was gonna land, and this one ended up screeching down the runway with no wheels down. The last few chapters drew you in only to drop you at the end. That’s it? No insight and the state of the world or what the MC is going to do? Just a “wow, things are bad. I’ll fix it” only to literally end the series after that period. I just feel let down after all the buildup the last two books had and ending with literally no closure for the reader. I’m seriously hoping for a small spin off to come and tell ups how the MC is going to bring order to the chaos, but after this books ending, I’m not holding out hope.
