I didn't like this one as much as the first one.

I am a sugary fluff appreciator. I usually don't mind it if there's like a TON of it in a book, especially since it seems like most books have almost pure chaos/angst from cover to cover, with hardly any wholesome fluff in it that isn't clearly there just to be an excuse for even more angst.

This story has the exact opposite problem, though. It's almost pure sugar from cover to cover, with hardly any conflict at all, and the conflict it did have arrived really late and was resolved in an unsatisfyingly fast time and pretty much an excuse for even more sugary cheese.

More like 2.5. The book and story are nice, if a bit cheesy at times. The story from the last book continues. A downside to the story is that it goes at rocket speed. There is hardly any backstory, just rushing from scene to scene. This makes the story less enjoyable a whole since the world doesn't feel finished.

A big problem I have with it is the pricing versus enjoyment of this book. It's the most expensive light novel I got at €9 but it wasn't either long enough or enjoyable enough to validate that price.

I got so tired of reading Marie's lines... I know she's a kid and expected to talk like that at her age, but good lord the author just doesn't stop. I guess some may find it cute, but this volume is unbearable with it. Even though the first volume didn't have a lot of depth, this one has none. There is no real build up to anything. I already own the 3rd volume for Kindle, so I will read it at some point I guess.... but not really looking forward to it.

The sweet innocent romance and family story don't with the family going on a trip. The story is rather short and behaviour a bit extreme at times, but that should not come as a surprise. I enjoyed it.
