Interesting Stortline

I was very impressed with all the history woven into the story. And the story is amazing. The biggest bone I have to pick is the betrayal. It just doesn’t work. Yes it’s a shock when it happens but it isn’t right even given the declared reasons. It just goes over the top into insanity way too fast. There should have been clues we could look back on to say ah ha! And there weren’t. And the crazy came too fast and ruined what could have been amazing scenes. In general well worth the read. I might even pick up the next one sometime.

Another Great Adventure

More intrigue about the most famous library of all times and surprises abound. Pieces of history hidden in unusual places. Hopefully, this book will entice people to read about history, in addition to reading the adventures in this book!

Thrills, chills and the Unexpected make this book a Must Read

I love the places Tow Wagner books take me. If you love history, enjoy little jaunts into the unexplained stories of old, then you, too will find yourself visiting exciting cities, make you feel like your in the small little pubs or tiny little hamlets, trying to outwit those trying to steal the world's most exciting objects of art, or the occult or whatever your mind can conceive as you follow a new group with some of the same old groups that. Tom Wagner has worked with in his capacity as a Protector of all precious, dangerous archeological reveals that keep thieves from stealing all the knowledge that has been lost over the ages. And all with a nice budget to allow a little fun as they keep the truths of times past safe!

The idea of a third tablet was good.
Otherwise, there are few cliches missed.
Entertaining, pretty much, but I had to skim parts when it got beyond even my vast ability to suspend disbelief.
Another positive: I really like it when I actually learn something from novels. In this case, I educated myself (to the extent possible on the internet) about the Lalibela churches in Ethiopia. I had never previously heard of them.
I MAY (probably skim) other books in the series. They have superficial entertainment value.

Good story but sometimes unbelievable

I love series and this one is definitely worth reading, Some is lost when chapters end at a dramatic point and then jump to another part of the story. I had trouble remembering the dramatic details from six chapters back. The primary character is a maverick whose disregard for convention sometimes puts innocent lives at stake. Still it was a fun read.

Two very good stars earned

Keeping it positive this book and the series has good action and lots of good thrill writing. The pop references and the modem day politics is what killed it for me. I read books to escape reality not to be reminded of the bs narratives or huge issues in the world. Had the author stuck to this instead of forwarding the state run media agenda I would have purchased but one reason I'm grateful for Kindle unlimited.

Entertaining fast read.

The book had a great plot that changed rapidly and often. The locations and were a bit far fetched but it added to the over quality of the book.

If you like thriller fiction with s little reality mixed in you will enjoy this book. Now onto the next book in the series.

a great who done it ah yes we know who

The race is on the plots are set and the game has started greed revenge and utter hatred it’s all here. The search for the artefacts the distraction left behind is more than shameful but will Tom’s group all live to see the end or will they have to fight to the end. A really good story and so much going on I recommend this book

Good

Typos, but fewer than the first book. Adventure and danger as Tom, Hellen and Cloutard are challenged with finding parts of the almost mythical great Library of Alexandria .

Exceptional

A wild ride that keeps you reading until the end, then reaching for the next book. I hope Robert's & Maclay are prolific, since this series is one of the best I have read... and I have read a lot.

I had read the book before this in the series, and it was fun to see characters as they developed from the earlier adventure. This is an adventure book, lots of action - clever plot and continuing twists and turns.
Which is both a positive and a negative. The negative is that there are too many coincidences, too many last second saves, too many just happened to find the crucial clue that had somehow evaded decades of searchers.

It's a fun read, but it can get tiresome because there is perhaps too much action - hard to find the moments to catch a breath. I would recommend it but with the noted reservations.

Very interesting read with good characters. Not a riveting story but it did keep me interested. But the plot line of searching for mythic artifacts is starting to get really old and trite. Every Dan Brown wannabe seems to be just trying to ride on his coattails.

He never saw it coming

I’ve read many adventure stories with religious and mythical overtones. The Library of Kings stands out as one of the best. The amazing twist at the end of the story completely caught me by surprise. Great writing. Looking forward to the next book

I have a high tolerance for the fantastic. This failed to allow me to suspend disbelief. I am not interested in reading more.

The setting and subject matter (ancient relics) are especially appropriate while we’re cruising in the Suez Canal area. Fun read, sort of an Indiana Jones type adventure.

Interesting concept. Reads like an Indiana Jones story. Twists and turns and surprising developments you don't see coming. I think I have to read the prequel (book #1) of the Tom Wagner series.
