Wicked Magic
When I finally made it back home, I swore I would never set foot on Alfheimr again, no matter what.
Then things got a little...complicated. Millie and Sim can also be very convincing, so before long, I found myself in front of the dragon god once again.
The spear of the Valkyries that came to life at the touch of my hand is brimming with magic--and it isn't the only one. Now more than ever people believe that magic will come back to Alfheimr. This awful world can survive, and they want me to help bring it to life.
The masters want us to search for the one thing that is more powerful than the weapons of the the Eye of a dead god. I agree to find it, only because I'm going to need a lot of power to kill the masters, free the poor human souls trapped in that world, and be done with all of it for good.
That's until I find out what the Eye can really do. It's no longer a question of if I can find it. I have to, or we will all lose everything. With the help of Millie, Sim and the dragon god who's kiss is just as dangerous as his magic, I just might get there in one piece. And when I do, I will not rest until all of Alfheimr goes to hell, right where it belongs.

Well written, but docked stars for cliffhanger ending and a frustrating heroine
After three years in Alfheim, you’d think Morgan would be a little less stubborn about what is and is not possible, but if anything, she regresses even further into childish “it’s not possible” tantrums that end up getting her and her friends hurt, repeatedly. Morgan is many things, but she’s never been stupid—and she crossed that line repeatedly this book.
Millie continues to be weirdly optimistic no matter what, without explanation, and it also begins to defy belief. She is so “lighthearted” that she comes across as both naive and carefree, neither of which mesh well in the story. I basically am waiting for the reveal that she knew everything and was just a ploy to kick Morgan’s ass into gear, basically.
The book is well-written but it’s a cliffhanger ending, which I hate and try to avoid. Unless a book is advertised as a serial, it should be a whole and complete story, even if it’s part of a series. This is not, and so it was a frustrating read. I’d generally mark any unmarked cliffhanger an automatic one star, but the story is quite good in concept, and although there are numerous grammatical mistakes in the book, the writing is good—it just needs a better editing pass to catch errors. So a very grudging three stars, but I don’t recommend the story.

Let the good times roll. D.N. Hoxa is back with the second book in her latest series, and Wicked Magic (The Curse of the Allfather, Book 2) is (apologies for the delay this as I cannot resist) wickedly wonderful. Morgan is back, with Millie, Sim and “the dragon god who's kiss is just as dangerous as his magic”. Add on the magic spear of the Valkyries that came to life at the touch of her hand, and a must-do quest to find the Eye of a dead god, and you know you’re in for a grand an exciting adventure. Perfectly plotted and superbly written too, though that’s virtually a given with this author. All in all total fun that’s easy to highly recommend.

Urban magic and Norse mythos post Ragnarok
If you haven't read book 1, read it first. This is one of those series that i read because it is on kindle unlimited. I keep reading because i keep waiting for more. I like the worlds in the series. My biggest issue is that i like having things happen. The first book had adventures. This one read more like 5 mini scenes. What i do enjoy is the main character is being manipulated , somewhat knows it, but pushes through.

Lots of action but minimal character development unless one turns into a dragon and then it's a description of the dragon.

I kinda saw that to coming. She has way to much anger and pride to see clearly. Hopefully she grows up a bit in the next book.
