As IT sales rep and AWS enthusiast, I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of cloud computing. This book is a great soup-to-nuts read on migrating to the cloud as an Enterprise level company. This read like a school textbook which made the structure and organization simple to follow and effectively built a framework to understand the cloud. A few critiques: 1) dry at times but not sure how to make topics like "IT governance and compliance" more interesting, 2) very AWS-centric which might seem like that was obvious from the get-go. Would still be nice to see comparison to other cloud providers, hybrid/on-prem set-ups. 3) Enterprise focused view - that's where the big money is, but I would have liked to see more examples for SMBs and DNBs. Overall, I'm very glad to have read this book and feel more confident in my understanding of cloud migrations.

Written by AWS Execs, the book is very prescriptive as to how enterprises should migrate to AWS cloud. However, that’s exactly what I found useful.

Covers a lot of cloud transformation ground, including CCoE creation, architecture and Operating Model. Perfect as a primer for leaders getting involved in this area and wanting to know what lies ahead.
