I received a copy of this book for free as a perk of being part of an inside sales professional learning community.
I guess I misunderstood the purpose of this book until after I finished it, because it was 80% script templates for various business scenarios. Some of them were helpful starting points, but most of them were pretty worthless in that they were for hyper-specific LinkedIn messaging scenarios, like what to send someone when you’re going to send them a connection request. That’s probably the easiest sales-related message you’re going to send. If there were more demo, and cold call script templates/models I would’ve found more value in this, but it honestly just felt like filler.
The beginning of the book talks a bit about Brandon Bornancin’s background, which I did enjoy reading. Although don’t expect it to go very deep or explain things outside of a “sales speak” tone. I.e. “super rich, super poor, had to hustle, busted his ass to get here, don’t stop, never stop, yadda yadda”.
All that said I am a fan of Bornancin’s lead generation tool, Seamless.AI and I imagine he would have some interesting things to share about his experiences in sales if he was interested in writing a book that was more than just scripts and reiterated fluff.
In his defense, at the end he did say he wrote this book in 30 days.
If you’re looking for short script templates, check this out. If you’re looking to learn about Brandon and his sales process in-depthly, give it a pass, because that book doesn’t exist yet.
