This is an exceptional aid for exploring Louise Penney’s Inspector Gamache series. Having the proper order encourages a much more fulfilling experience and the short but poignant reviews make the collection even more enjoyable!
I just discovered this author and began to order the books. Thanks for this book it helps to keep the books in order and gives me a review of the books.
Thank you for providing a chronological order of Louise Penny’s novel series- Chief Inspector Gamache. It was helpful and informative in providing a sneak peek of each book in the series & staying on track!
Have worked my way through inspector Gamache series and have loved every one. I am about to start the lady and I believe the most recent, The Madness of Crowds . I would recommend Charles Todd series as well.
I picked up this book as part of Kindle Unlimited and am glad I didn’t pay for it. I was sure I had missed a book because I read a lot of them out of order. It didn’t help with that and didn’t include any of the personal issues in Gamache’s life. It was enough info to let me know if I read the books, but I can’t figure out what use it would be to a new reader.
Loved the series in the beginning, but the characters have become repetitious and some are too vulgar. I continue like the characters outside Three Pines, but I have become bored with the villagers. The language has problems, as though the editor was not paying attention, in the later books. I would whole-heartedly recommend the books until the Paris book; after that, not so much.
Good information if you haven't read the books yet
I think he did a great job of delivering information without spoilers. That is a difficult task with how much is going on in each book. I appreciate all the extra information about the awards each book received or was nominated for. Also, it was appreciated that he even gave information about the made for TV movie.
I love her books trying to read in order But a friend gave me her books which are out of order I love her books a great writer I did buy her first book still life
Delightful characters, beautiful imagery of Three Pines and Armand Gamache and his team solving mysteries. Some historical fiction based in Canada. I enjoy big books (Michener , King). I started craving croissants! Sadly, I am starting the last of the series.
This book helped me know what I have missed by not reading books in order but did not give me a snippet of the precious so I had a lead in from one book into the next one. Consequently there no way to know how the books connect.
It isn't a story. It's just a listing of the Three Pines books and why you should read them all and in order. Short summary of each book. And some reviews.
The twists and Turns of the plot Keep 1 reading. The character of the chief inspector are his next in command are well developed. The The other characters Are also weld developed and fall right into the place. I love the fact that Louise penny Keeps the mystery going right up until the end I didn't wanna quit till I finished.
