A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, even if that means taking a night watchman position at the local aquarium to pay the bills. Soon, Evan learns that the job comes with some very unique "benefits"...
Connor Crowe grew up reading stories about dragons, magic, and adventure. He often liked to imagine himself as a character in those stories, and as he grew older he began to write some of them down. He couldn't just write any old fantasy, though. As a die-hard romantic, he tells stories of men finding true love amidst adversity.
When you read a Connor Crowe book, you know you're getting action-packed fantasy mpreg that will make your heart race in more ways than one ;)
This was basically tentacle hentai but with some good lore and storytelling. I actually want more. So many unanswered questions and nothing got resolved. I hope this is a prequel to something greater and not a dead end cause I loved the direction it was taking.
It’s Evan’s first night on the job as a night watchman at the aquarium. Just the fishes to keep him company. Or...maybe not. Even’s night turns to lust and heat and horniness in a hurry when he finds a creature locked away in the back. A multi-tasking ten-tentacled creature has huge potential for all sorts of “right-there-right-there-oh-gawd-right-there” kind of sexiness. :)
“Again and again, I wondered how those tentacles might feel against my skin. Wrapped around my arms. Wrapped around my…”
I won’t spoil the fun for you. And it is fun! I loved the aquarium setting—it’s a dark peaceful place with soft splashes of water here and there. And Evan is pretty damn funny! I just didn’t like the... The rest was pure slippery sexy fun though.
If you can believe it, Tentacles with Benefits was my first tentacle read. It won’t be my last! Off to explore a new-to-me genre.
This book was way way too short but it was quite spicy indeed . There is a young man named Evan. Evan gets a job as a night watchman at an aquarium. The guy who hired him simply gives him keys and says “you’re hired”.
Evan hears a noise coming from a door that says “Do not enter”. Evan goes into the room where there is a tank filled with water. In this tank is a half man/half octopus. Evan pushes a button and releases this creature whose name is Kairius. Evan and Kairius have a mental connection where you see the world Kairius lives in or something along those lines. Evan gets aroused at the aquarium and he starts to help himself when Kairius steps in. Kairius and Evan have an intimate moment together. At the end Evan promises Kairius that he will return.
I wanted this novella to be much longer. I wanted there to be moments of Evan in the aquarium working and maybe seeing Kairius in the tank. I wish this book were part of a series instead of a standalone. I wanted much much more of learning about Kairius and Evan. Maybe what would happen if Evan returned the next day of his job. This ended way too quickly for me.
If you've been longing for a porno that combines "Night at the Museum" + "Shape of Water" you will be happy to know that you were not the only one. You lost me at 'slime' but y'know, y'all have fun in that puddle having tentacle penetration in front of all the watching fishes.
This one had promise at the beginning but the middle got weird and the ending left me hanging. This is another "it's probably me not the story" unfortunately.
TAGS -- Shifter/octopus -- great start then pretty much all sex -- end left open -- okay MCs... Kairius and Evan -- couldn't connect -- drew me in then lost me -- less than 35 pages -- Prolific Works Freebie
First a bit funny, then cute, then hot. But for a short that seems like it is meant to be setting up something else it didn't really execute that part well. With the promise to help in the future but to do so undercover, shouldn't Evan maybe worry about cleaning the cum in the bathroom? That's something that can get you fired from a job. And perhaps refilling the tank? Making sure that there is no evidence of the already happened escape? Not to mention it was never really explained why Evan essentially went into heat just being near Kai, even before he had seen him, so it wasn't just related to fantasies. It felt like there was just an attempt to pack too much into what probably should've just been a sexy short.
I liked it despite the instant freak out of Evan. Now I wonder how this story will go. With his job, and with Kairius trap inside the local aquarium. I wish there has been more. And Kairius to be free of that place. And a story of what happened to him and how he got trapped inside the tank. Were they experimenting him? With how Harv acted, it was somewhat suspicious.
Hmm ... there's a lot to unpack that happens in the 52 pages of this short story. On one hand, there are certain things you expect to happen in a tentacle smut story ... and on the other, there was definitely some stuff that I didn't see coming. There's a tentacle creature that's supposedly from Atlanta, a new security guard who can't seem to keep it in his pants and jerks off at work, and a ton of tentacle action. While the plot is as good as it can be in a story this short, the ending is very abrupt doesn't really seem very polished. It left a lot of things open ended and up in the air for our tentacled friend. But hey, the MMC gets his rocks off, so he doesn't seem to worried about how things will play out. This short story wasn't an awful way to spend an hour of my day, but I have found myself wondering way too much about the fate of a fictitious marine character in the hours that have followed finishing it. And that is really irritating to me. I feel like the author could have added an epilogue or something to give us a brief glimpse of how things end up without adding an actual solution to how the creature escapes. At least give us some peace of mind!
I need a break from my break. I also need something quick and short and a piece I can finish tonight (even though its already late). Here's Connor Crowe's "Tentacles with Benefits." ["One man. Ten tentacles. You do the math.
A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, even if that means taking a night watchman position at the local aquarium to pay the bills. Soon, Evan learns that the job comes with some very unique "benefits"...
A chance discovery leaves him helpless before a dangerous creature. Ten tentacles stretch him to his limits and show him pleasure he never imagined in this spicy short story."]
Short, sweet, and spicy. A perfect read to feel like I accomplished something (plus it was good!). Around 45 pages, if took barely half an hour to read.
The only downside, adding another author to my to-binge list. ;)
I was thinking about the movie Color of Water while reading this and then I read at the end that she had seen the movie too. Love tentacles and loved this story and would love to read more about them since the movie had a happy ending after the peril of the government pursuing the couple so one can hope.
So I tried this one as part of a short story set. It was cute but not flushed out at all and the writing was a little off. It IS a short story tho, so my expectations weren’t high, it just didn’t get me interest much. *shrug*
It delivered the goods. Nothing too over the top, but also nothing that makes me want to see if this becomes a full book. Good writing though, will probably give the author a try for a full story.
A short story, that feels like the start to something more. Very sexy, and definitely leaves you wanting more. Plenty of more story that could be told, one that I hope Connor Crowe will return to!
2.5 way too short. Abrupt ending. A seed of a story. The cover is way cute and I was hoping for a sci-fi alien story but it was so short you can’t even tell what this was! The odd part was that there wasn’t even enough sex for me to call it erotica. 🤷🏻♀️
