Crossing Lines #1

Forbidden Cross

Rate this book
It doesn’t make any sense to have these feelings for someone in the past during a drunken encounter. Spring break during my senior year in university had given me an unexpected experience worthy of being called the best sex of my life.

Things were different a couple of years later and I was in the process of getting my doctorate from Harvard University. Funds were tight and I had to depend on the kindness of my best friend Samantha. Staying with her gave me the chance to see her in a different light. Things were perfect until her brother Quentin arrived unexpectedly.

The arrogant son of a bitch was a sexist misogynist. He thought every woman was there to please him and to cater to his every whim including his sister. It didn’t hurt for him to have a body made of granite. Why is it that I feel drawn to him in a way I can’t explain? His chiseled good looks and raw animal magnetism has awakened something dormant inside of me begging to come out. Would it be so bad to give in to a moment of weakness? Forbidden fruit was the sweetest kind.

After getting out of college, Hannah's dream was to become a bestselling author. Do to the success of Hannah's first book "Crossing Lines- Forbidden Cross" her dream became a reality. The book became a #1 Erotic thriller. Hannah would like to thank her fans as she could not have done it without them. When she isn't writing captivating, seductive, ravishing reads she likes to go on hikes, work out, o and be dominated in the bedroom. She is also a dare devil as she will do anything from bungee jumping to cliff diving and she's not afraid to back down from a challenge. When she is not doing life threating things, she is most likely sitting in her NYC apartment wrapped up in a blanket with a glass of wine petting her roommates dog Miles watching Netflix. So if this is your first time here, pick a read and settle in. I'm here to give you a taste of something enticing if you dare.

I had high hopes for this story after reading the blurb but unfortunately, it didn't quite get there for me.

The book started pretty good in chapter one but things happened at a hectic pace after that and before you know it they are sitting at a dining table and things are happening which, I am sorry, just don't happen after 5 minutes of meeting. It carried on in this way for the remainder of the book and it just needed more guts to the story.

What was happening with Quentin seemed really interesting and would have been great to get a bit more back ground on that but it never happened and then ended up with a cliff hanger, which I don't mind if the lead up to the ending is great. This wasn't

The potential was there, but for me, it needed more. They say less is more but not in this case. It just needed more.

Crossing Lines is my first book by Hannah Hilton and my first best friend's brothers romance read. I wasn't sure what to expect at first with this type of read. I was wonderfully surprised that I have enjoyed this read. When Quentin, makes a surprise trip home he comes face to face with Gail, his sister's roommate and the sparks fly with the 4th of July on steroids. This was a quick steamy read, with a major cliffhanger ending. If you like a good quick, steamy read, with a cliff hanger, this is the read for you.

It's a super short dark erotica that I've almost like one long bated breath. Though the plot is minimal, there is one and there seems to be so sorry of suspense that is being worked up as a lead on to the next book. It's steamy and hot and surprisingly it's got more to it than others shoes in this category. I'll be reading the next one just to see what happens next.

This is my first time reading this author and I’m confused by this story. There is a bit of a story there that could be really good and interesting, but the writing was a bit flat for me. I have book 2 and 3 waiting to be read so onward we go, hoping it gets better.

This book was a good book for a debut. It does end on a cliffhanger so I am anxious to read the next book in the series as I need to know what happens with Gail and Quentin. It was a short steamy read that has me wanting more.

This is a best friend - brother romance. I was a little confused at the beginning - but then it became clear. There are some mildly hot parts. I'm interested to see where the series goes and if the books get hotter - or what path they take. It is a short read - and is entertaining.

Love the book but it does end with a cliff hanger. I want to know what the heck he has gotten himself into & what happens with their love story.

Didn't like it at all. It was like reading on speed dial. The story line ended up being a heap pile on the floor. Sorry my opinion

Second change romance yes, story idea yes. Execution horrible. The whole writing was choppy, words being used to describe sexual parts very odd.

A short fast pace.

New to me author.

Quentin is hiding something and I want to find out what it is! There’s no much about it, which only makes me more intrigued.
