Something Special
I enjoyed this story immensely... until we got to Bristol getting sick. It just hit a little too close to home and could've been handled differently. I wish it had been handled differently as it colored my opinion of the overall story.
Bristol is a spitfire and incredibly entertaining. Torque (Alejandro) is happy to bed any woman who crosses his path... until Bristol.
I like how she properly freaks out after their first night. I also like that she's pragmatic with her next steps.
I liked the references to the other MC series. I'm familiar with two of them from references in other books or have actually read them.
B.G. Brown narrates. While her voice isn't what I imagine Bristol sounding like, she does a good job with the other characters.

So, it starts off with this hoe bag of a heroine approaching the hero for a one nighter. Once the deed is done, she wants to go back to hoeing however decided she has been jumping from dick to dick far too long and wants a relationship, possibly with two men.
The hero never goes back to seconds but after a blowie and some sex he decided she is important? WTF?
Then the book goes on for a paragraph in 3rd person...
“He dropped it back onto the table. “I had hoped you would have called by now. I’ve been thinking about you.” Well now. That sounded… promising. Maybe she’d rocked his world as much as he had hers. Did he lie in bed at night and think about how it had felt to be inside her? Did he get himself off remembering their night together?”
Okkkurr... Then a week later, she sleeps with him again WITH NO RUBBER. How dumb are you?
3 weeks later, she is moving in with him..
Then our hero calls his clubhouse a dump, and lives to breathe...
She is nesting being 4 weeks pregnant? Then she is so disrespectful to the pres - yet her hoe ass wanted a relationship..? This is one of the worst attempts on a biker novel.

Started re-reading a lot of Harley Wyldes mc novells after finding her list with the reading order if you follow the timeline in her stories.
I really enjoy most of Harley Wyldes novells, her writing improves over time and so does my opinion of her works.
And then this happened.
A book with nothing to like.
No chemistry between the H and h.
I couldn't even read the scenes with sex because they were only words on a page.
Nothing to like about the club - it is portrayed more like one of the clubs that is usualy wiped out.
The story never caught life.
The developement of the caracters were tell and not show.
The writing kept shifting from first point of view to second point of view in the same sentence.
This one should never have been published in the condition it's in.
I have no idea what's happened with the writers fairytale touch and bringing life to the caracters.
Sadly this book was a disapointment.
But I'll keep on reading and hopefully next in line is better.

I practically jumped up and down when I heard there was going to be a new Harley Wylde series. It was freaking amazing! Torque's club is not as successful as some of the other clubs Ms Wylde writes about. I'm on the fence about his President, not sure I trust him. Bristol's a strong chick, she isn't a pushover. She gives Torque a run for his money. They have an amazing attraction and they slowly build an amazing relationship. I devoured it in a couple of hours and loved every second. Ms Wylde is a phenomenal writer; I absolutely adore her work. This series is going to be amazing and I can't wait!

This is a new author to me and I will be reading more of her work! The characters were well developed and the storyline intriguing, suspenseful and action packed. Awesome first book in the series, sets the tone for future books. Torque and Bristol are instantly drawn to each other but both are too stubborn for their own good. One night of passion leads to consequences that neither of them are really prepared for. Will these two polar opposites find out they have more in common with each other than they knew? Great start to the series!

Torque and Bristol just worked together. This story mainly focuses on them with a bit of club and club drama of course! The side characters we met were intriguing enough to hope to see them again and find out their stories. Mustang the Wicked Mayhem's President made me wanna slap him upside the head and I hope he gets knocked on his a$$ one day when his potential Old Lady finally comes around. As usual I devoured Harley Wylde's book and couldn't put it down once I started. If you love reading about alpha bikers and the women they fall for i highly recommend her books.

One can never have enough motorcycle clubs that Harley Wylde creates! Her latest is the Wicked Mayhem MC and boy, it doesn't disappoint. We all need a Torque, aka Alejandro, in our life.
We're introduced to our new MC and couple (Torque and Bristol). You know everything great always starts at a bar, an unintended one-night stand, and then BOOM! baby coming through! It's like a love match made in the nearest bar! In all seriousness, it was a touching story between learning to love again (second chances) and determining if you have the level of commitment to remain in the MC.
The Pros:
--Everyone in the club except Mustang. I seriously wanted to throttle him several times. I'm going to wait to see what Harley does with him.
--The mention of the other familiar clubs in Harley's world: Hadys Abyss, Devils Boneyard, and the Dixie Reapers. It's comforting.
--The other members of Wicked Mayhem! I can't wait to read more about them.
Random thoughts:
--Bristol could be annoying at times, but she's hormonal and emotional (for reasons other than the baby).
--Razor needs to be next! LOL!
--Or Mustang. Sheesh!

Bristol just was looking for a one night stand. When she saw Torque she figured that was all he was looking for. Torque aka Alejandro had a taste of the hottie and just had that feeling that she was going to be his ol’ lady. But he was going to have to tame Bristol first. She was wild fire. And they we have the club. This is all new to the boys and will need to start making some changes.
These two were at odds with each other from the start. Bristol had a lot of doubts about the relationship. She kept fearing the worst. For his part, he was being bossy but then all the MCs are like that. They are all bossy and possessive. At times Bristol can be a pain about what Torque was trying to do for her. But it all worked out. We do get to meet members from Hades Abyss. Pretty boy has a sister that needs to be married off, Ophelia. If you read Kraken recently you read about her again. I don’t know she is going to be with but I am sure Harley will give us the story soon. Mustang needs his butt kicked. He needs a lesson in being the Pres of the club for the other clubs. I am honestly hoping it is to Mustang Ophelia goes to because he needs to be brought down a notch or two.

Narration review: I didn’t particularly care for the narrator. First off, her voice was a little too sweet and high pitched. The voice was pleasant, but the thick Southern accent was hard to understand at first. She did an okay job.
Story review: this was a good story about a relationship after a two-night stand. The relationship developed naturally. The hero and heroine were likable. The author did not shy away from the illegal actions of the club and the fact that not every member agreed with the group’s decisions. I liked that, even though sometimes it was difficult. Bedroom scenes were super steamy. For once, an MC romance novel without the heroine getting kidnapped! I enjoyed this audiobook and would recommend it. I received an advance review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Torque is book one in the ‘’wicked mayhem MC’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. Torque is a biker that knows what he wants. He never spends more than one night with the same woman. When he meets Bristol, he knows she is going to be his future old lady, he just has to make it happen.
I liked Torque but I did think he was a bit of a jerk. Especially when he made judgemental comments about the woman he wanted.
The chemistry between Torque and Bristol is clear to see and I liked them together. I thought that they made a great couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Book 1 in Wylde's Wicked Mayhem MC series. I love this MC romance read - very insta lust / love read and a good intro to the MC club and their dynamic. I love Torque's character and his willingness to open his heart but I would have loved to have gotten more of his back story - what made him join an MC ect. I liked Bristol's strength - but didn't feel it was consistent. One minute she was standing up for herself and the next she was letting Torque make all her life decisions. I also liked how this being the first in the series, opens up the storyline for more - which I'm excited to listen. Narration was smooth and well done overall - very southern accent thru out but almost too much of a drawl - I live in the south and this was almost a put on accent (at least to my ears) but overall well done!

Wow this book sucked. First of all, she kept switching back from third to first person and it was SO confusing. Second, mustang was actually THE WORST!!! Third, there was like no plot, and the insta-claim, which is usually golden, SUCKED this time. Also, just because Bristol is in charge of her sexuality doesn’t mean she’s a whore, I mean laken also went out and picked up a guy? The word whore wasn’t thrown around as much then? Idk this book rubbed me the wrong way - it was almost as bad as Irish but at least o got through with it...even tho I skimmed a lot

What a series this will be! I love all of Harley Wylde books. I could t wait to read Torque when she said a new book was coming. Bristol knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it. I love her strength! Torque I loved as well. His determination to take care of Bristol was great. The rest of the club I’m not sure about and the Pres....well I hope he gets knocked down a few pegs if he gets a book by his heroine!!!

This is my first book by Harley Wylde. I listened to it on Authors Direct. I was gifted a complimentary copy through Story Origin.
What an excellent listen! The female narrator had a southern accent. She spoke rather quietly. But she made the story, especially the steamy scenes, jump right off the page! Hot, hot, hot.
I loved the story. I loved the attraction. I really loved the steam. I fell head over heels for Torque!

Now this book is different from any of her books, but in a good way though. Heroine is very independent, a woman who knows her own mind and don't answer to anyone, she does knows how to give a little, how to listen. Torque has his hands full with this one but what I can say I'm definitely looking forward to to the rest of this series, the rest of the guys are hilarious, great read.

Once again Harley Wylde has written a book you can dive right into. All of her books suck you in and make you a part of the world your reading, and Torque and Bristol’ story does it to. And on a sidenote I hope when you write mustang’s story that she kicks him in the face and gives him hell.

This book was great and I can’t wait to meet more of the members of Wicked Mayhem. Bristol & Torque have two night stand but they both develop feelings they weren’t expecting. I must say that Mustang the President should be kicked in the nuts and I can’t wait for him to meet his match.

This is an awesome new series. Loved it from the beginning. Torque met Bristol at a bar and be a one night stand with him. They both wanted something more but Bristol was stubborn and didn’t want to call. Once she had to call him to let him know there was a surprise that cAme from that one night stand. It was all about them finding there way. Torque was the first brother in the MC that found his forever his old lady. Can’t wait to see what happens With the MC

I am voluntarily leaving this review. This was a great book to the start of a series! I also listened to the audible, I had a little trouble getting into it at first, I’m not sure if it was because of the narrator’s monotone or the book it’s self, but once I got past the first couple of books it was great!

A fantastic introduction to a new series and a new MC by Harley Wylde. This story was different from all the others but just as amazing and entertaining as all the others. There was the perfect amount of angst, suspense, and loads of steaminess in this story. Torque and Bristol are instantly drawn to each other, their chemistry is off the charts, they are perfectly matched. They maybe opposites but they learn to navigate through their situation together. I can’t wait to see what comes next. I absolutely enjoyed everything about this book.

Loved this story of Torque and Bristol. They have a one night stand and then another one night stand then comes a lifetime consequences. This story pulls you in the story and you keep reading not wanting to put it down. This is not like her usual MC reads. this is not an insta love story. Their love is a love built. Torque is a total hot alpha but Bristol isn't going to take his orders. Great read.
