I had everything I could want. Money, my business, a son that I adored. My love for my mother, father and twin siblings was endless. There was nothing I could want or need. At least that's what I thought...before I ran into her...again. She looked familiar and I quickly learned we went to school together. But Janika, she was all grown up and something about who I presumed her to be pulled at my heart-strings. I, someone with trust issues and a known introvert, could fall in love...couldn't I? I, Emory Peeples, could love her. Someone who had been hurt, caged and made to feel less than...couldn't I? I could make her see that love didn't hurt...couldn't I? After the bullshit I had been through with my son's mother, I could trust again. I could. I had to believe that.
I really enjoyed Emory’s point of view. I have a better understanding of him now and he is still that dude lol. Seriously I can see why Janika can’t keep her hands off him. This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more from them :)
I enjoyed reading this story from Emory's view it's always good to have the male and female perspective. I read "Deep as it Goes" first and then followed up with this book. I was glad to get the full details of the baby mama and her issues. Janicka and Emory deserved all the love each was willing to give. They needed to experience the real thing after going through the heartaches of their exes.
Another great collaboration between Monica Walters and T. Key! Yes I recommend but make sure to read both books this one and "Deep as it Goes."
Emory and Janicka go through a lot in their past relationships, but it sets them up to know when something real hits them. They move at a fast pace but you can't deny the true connection, chemistry, and passion that they share. I love the love they have. It was refreshing because it was on after they knew what they wanted.
Even though the editing was a bit off, I really enjoyed the story. Emory is my kind of man...taking care of his family and making sure Janika was respected at every turn. All the characters were well written. Wonderful page turner.
I read "Deep as it Goes" three weeks prior and I enjoyed the storyline about two people meeting at an unexpected time in their lives. This collaboration from the male point of view was more demonstrative. This is a well written narrative.
This was definitely a refreshing story to hear Emory’s side after reading Janika’s story!!!…You never know the impact someone’s love can have on you after you’ve been hurt!!!…
I appreciate the collaborative efforts between Ms. Walters & T. Key, however “Perfect Timing” wasn’t written in the Monica Walters style I’m familiar or accustomed too. Nevertheless, I completed the book out of respect & courtesy to artistic expression. I didn’t care for “Perfect Timing” nor the overtly saturated superlative “lil mamma”. ..it was disingenuous, condescending & creepy 🙄🥴‼️
