God’s favor and protection. A person or thing that is totally opposite from or the reverse of someone or something. Egypt is rough around the edges, outgoing, a great father, and an all-around bad boy turned good that every woman wants. Blessing is a quiet, churchgoing, single, self-dedicated woman that is every man’s dream. What happens when two worlds that are completely opposite collide? Egypt is nothing like Blessing is used to, but it’s something about him that has her drawn to him like a magnet. At first sight, Egypt is digging Blessing, but after realizing how different they are, he feels she is one chick he can do without. So how do the two connect? Ignoring all the warning signs, they agree to go on a date. From one date to many, the pair become inseparable. They have one big problem—they’re completely opposite! Will Egypt change his ways for the woman he doesn’t want to live without, or will he bury those feelings and deal with what he normally attracts? Will Blessing break every rule she has ever made to be with the bad boy that quickly won her heart, or will she realize the bad boy turned good just isn’t what she needs in life?
I loved everything about this book. The writing, storyline and characters! I love how at their first meeting they couldn’t stand each other but somehow they kept coming back together. Blessing bougie self found the perfect distinguished thug in Egypt.
This was a great read. Blessing was a lot to take and she worked every bit of my nerves. She definitely almost blocked her own blessings with her action’s and being so judgmental and concerned about appearances. Egypt was everything and hit her with some truth that she needed and eventually their love was able to blossom and grow. Love this author and this book :)
Such a great love story! Blessing thought she needed a man who checked all of "her" boxes, but God had other plans. Judging a man, or anyone for that matter, by their outwardly appearance will serve you wrong every time. That is what happened when she met Egypt. He was very handsome, but rugged, with a bit of thug, and didn't speak proper English. So, she counted him out. Wrong! He was everything she needed, wanted and more! Although he was all of those things, he was also kind, caring, a protector, educated, and well off. She just needed to get out of her own way. Egypt, knew that Blessing was a church girl, and not his normal type, but he was so drawn to her. He was a perfect gentleman, and stayed true to himself. He did not allow Blessing to change him, although she tried. What you see is what you get with him. These two seemed to be doomed from the start, as they their paths were so different. However, their connection was so strong, they could not stay away from each other. Through their ups and downs, they realized that different is not always bad. It is what it is, different! That difference is what made their love so special. I really enjoyed this read. Great job!
Blessing and Egypt were set up on a blind date by their bestfriends, but after the disastrous date, they said they didn't want to see each other again. After seeing each other again, they decided to try one more time. Blessing knew the type of man she wanted and Egypt wasn't it, but it was something about him that made her want to get to know him. Blessing was not the type of girl Egypt was used to dating, but he liked her and wanted her. Getting to know each other was a huge obstacle for Blessing, but in the end Egypt one her over. This story right her had me hooked from the beginning. I could feel the love between Egypt and Blessing and was rooting for them. Blessing was a little hard on Egypt in the beginning, but when she finally gave in she was happy. This book has made me a fan of Cherish Amore and I'm looking forward to reading more from her!!!!
This is probably one of the first times where I was like “Yea the title of the book fit so perfectly.” Egypt and Blessing definitely had a rocky start but their love just grew more and more. There was a lot of things I loved that was touched on, Blessing’s walk with Christ, Egypt continuing to be an amazing father to his daughter, Blessing & Egypt’s back and forth with their relationship. Opposites really do attract but I think both brought something to one another that the other needed. I loved this book, it wasn’t rushed, it went through the motions of emotions and it showed how relationships start off rocky but end up being something special and forever. Mrs. Cherish Amore YOU DID THAT with this book ❤️
Blessing and Egypt had a rocky start because Blessing would get upset by Egypt's comments or actions. It was ironic how they were opposites but fell head over heels in love with each other. Blessing did not realize she had the perfect mate an educated "thug." He was the definition of a provider. Egypt and Blessing completed each other.
Another great read by Cherish, keep them coming. She did what I like in the last three books by her I read made sure the lady in the story was working or obtained her dream career. I would recommend getting into Mrs. Cherish books you will not be disappointed, as a matter of fact the opposite addicted to see what she writes next.
Very good read. I wondered why Blessing was so...Blessing 😂 It slowly was revealed that she was trying to be something she wasn’t- religious. She thought that is how a Christian lived, when it really makes you judgmental, Totally against what Christ teaches. Egypt was Alpha and well put together. Thank you for highlighting a educated, successful, black father! The development of their relationship was truly entertaining, they enhanced each other. God works in mysterious ways!!! I rated 4 stars because of the editing errors too many to overlook.
There is not one reader I know that falls in love with every character. Some characters are crafter to drive us insane as we turn page after page. And that character for me was Blessing. I was ovvvvvver her by 15% Lol she felt like that friend we all have or have had that you just have to put on the block list a few days. 🤣 The story had a fair dose of drama trials and tribulations and I enjoyed it.
This story with Egypt and Blessing had me in my feelings during most of the story. Now, don't get it twisted, I am not complaining. Blessing had so many hangups I was never certain Egypt would be able to sustain his patience over the long haul. Blessing was a handful and some. I loved them as a couple. I especially enjoyed Egypt's daughter Em; she was a sweet addition to the story. A good story, worth reading.
The cover alone had me intrigued and the story didn’t disappoint. Blessing irked my nerves. She was missing out on real love because of her being judgmental and sadly there are people like that in real life. No matter what there was something about her that Egypt intrigued with her. I like how he wasn’t afraid to tell her about herself. This was a good example of not judging a book by its cover.
Strong, educated, patient, handsome, huge heart African American King (Egypt) love it
Egypt and blessing I wanted to pulled my hair out with the back and forth, Love the energy and fire they had for one another sometimes the thing that are to easy is not worth fighting for, when you feel the energy and the chemistry then you fight for it I love their story can't wait for the next Story.
I almost didn’t read this one.i read chapter 1 and decided I didn’t want to read about anyone who didn’t go to church or believe in God. But the title is what made me continue and I a so glad I did. Through all the turmoil it turned out to be a really sweet loving story. Egypt got his Blessing in more ways than one. I enjoyed this one as I have enjoyed all the others.
I loved this book the love between blessing and Egypt was a roller coaster. They were perfect for each other but not believing in God was a factor that wasn't something blessing could accept. Tragedy happens and Egypt sees things differently God is the one that holds the key to all your questions and blessings. Definitely a must read.
Bruh blessing was so damn annoying with all the running she was doing. I wanted to pop her in her face and tell her to let that man love her. Can I have an Egypt please??? That man wooooo child that man. I'll take an Egypt anyday. Good story
This book was so good .I loved Eygypt😍Blessing just needed someone to broaden her horizons . I didn’t want this to end . This is my first time reading this authors work will not my last
Egypt was a really laid back guy I loved him. Blessing got on my last nerves being so judgemental. She act like she was so perfect. I'm glad she finally came around and seen true love sitting in her face.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a good read. This is my first read from this author and I’m not disappointed. I can’t wait to check out her other work.
