Unexplained Mysteries. Unsolved Mysteries. Tales of Mysteries Unexplained.
Fascinating tales as usual from Ms. Young, although I wish she’d stop recycling stories to pad out her books. I’ve read the same tales numerous times across her books.
Tales of Mystery Unexplained is a wonderful and well edited selection of stories written by Steph Young. The range of stories go from scary to charming. I truly recommend this book to anyone who likes a bit of horror with a side of irony and a dab of fantasy. I really loved some of the stories and some others not so much. These good ones made me believe in other realities, different worlds; some are mystical and others plenty of darkness and mystery. Steph is a fantastic writer and creates a really interesting book. The ideas are very clear. The action is solid, suspenseful and creepy. One of the tales tells the story of Elisa Lam, a young woman that appears dead in a water tower just after the visit of two men who give her a mystery box. The stories are narrated in third person. The language is stilted and the reading flows easily. I found myself drawn into the stories and caring for the characters. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of reading, especially during this long and bored quarantine time! It is a great work to explore!
There are a few stories here that were new to me, while others are very familiar re-circulations. Young asks a great deal of questions in the style of Von Daniken, which is appropriate to this genre. The stick figure story seems not to fit into the strange, unexplained disappearances and deaths, etc. The book needed more editing and was filled with typos, but I really enjoy this genre, so I usually don't mind the little errors. It should be labeled for teens and young adults if it isn't already.
Steph Young is it a class by hisself almost every book he puts out it’s interesting in one I can’t wait to read. This book was no exception although many people write books about mysteries it’s always the same old mysteries not in the case of this book by Stephen Young. It is worth the read.
Really an eclectic, yet fascinating, glimpse of strange and mysterious tales from around the world. Gripping reading as Ms. Young takes you in the journey with each story.
When buying a book such as this you more often than not have to accept a certain amount of rehashing of old cases. With this book it was all new at least to me. This and the fact that it spans more than one country and time period . Well worth a read
Interestiing collection of mysterious activities, which are mostly well documented and verified, but sadly unexplained. Unusual happenings sometimes occur that defy logic and human understanding. Nice reading for a cool lonely night...
I truly enjoyed reading this book about strange events. Some I have heard before but most were new to me. This book was well researched and written to inform and entertain.
compared to the other two books i read by this author, I found myself skipping through heaps of the pages as it was either absolutely absurd and so unbelievable, or just nonsense. Last book I will buy from this author.
A lot of supposition and speculative questions. The book would have been about half as long if the relentless and not very pertinent 'what if' / 'who', 'why' leading questions were removed.
“Tales of Mystery Unexplained: Tales of Mystery Unexplained Podcast” is a mystery book written by Steph Young. This is the first book I read from this author but I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last one. This fiction book is written for a general audience.
The setting is presented with photographic details and indirectly through thoughts and actions. As soon as the first chapter starts, the reader will feel inside the story. Every part is easy to read and really enjoyable.
This book is divided into chapters. It contains twelve different stories. Each chapter is more exciting than the last one, but if I have to choose one I would say that my favourite is chapter three: The strange disappearance of Donald.
I couldn’t stop reading it. You will be reading it at the edge of your seat, turning pages as a crazy person wanting to know what will happen next.
I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys mysteries. This book is perfect for everyone fond of the genre.
