Bombs have been dropped and lines have been crossed but that was just the beginning! Things connect in this book, which is great for all the questions I had in Book 1. But mannnnn listen. The immaturity each of the brothers displayed throughout this book was making me maddddd! As well as Kanada, she showed no growth either. Like, for yall to be so street smart, you’re also so damn dumb! And they all had these brewing love lives that were promising, but yet the first sign of trouble, they were out the door. And like so prematurely out the door that it was sickening.
Now Surge, I can understand the conflicting thought when it came to Dior. To find out she was the detectives daughter was nutty. I would’ve assumed it was her too. But idk how all of their brains together couldn’t see that it had to be someone even closer than her that was feeding information to the opps. Some shxt even she shouldn’t have known about. Earlier dealings that I’m sure Surge wasn’t sharing when they first started having sex. So I was confused. But, she came through and got her Pops to stop.
Alvaro disappointed me a lot in this book. He had bird brain and I don’t understand how he couldn’t see why she wouldn’t do anything for her son. Like yes, be confused a bit, don’t know what to believe. But the signs were all there. You let goofy Terrence get in your head, even after finding out he was corny. It was as if he couldn’t see past her prior life and though I understand his one rule about not lying (she definitely should’ve told him), I also understand why she didn’t. I mean come on..look at how they met. And Kanada girl.. wtf?! Grow up!
I even was mad at how Legion handled Moya when it came to her being pregnant and lying. Again, no character development with the men as they were all falling in love. I felt really bad for legion though.. like that’s some deep shit. His dad, trash. I would’ve had to murk him. His sister, trash - like girl, what?! Why would you act like that? And her friend, eww. Moya had too much patience but I cracked up when she was shady to his daddy.
Guns… the biggest disappointment of all. I knew it was someone older. Well first, I thought it was Brittany or someone else close. But then I knew it was someone older when he said that was the only person he had sex with and loved. I said welp, someone groomed him. Wasn’t surprised or shocked by who it was, especially because she didn’t come up for real in this book.
I’m definitely reading book 3, because I gotta know how this plays out. Someone gotta go. I need it to be all the opps and then one of the brothers will more than likely be outta here but that’s the way it goes. So let’s see what happens next!

Excellent Storytelling
Okay, I love Ms. Marie’s books however her characters, not so much. A’Moya and Dior are sweet but Kanada is so weak. All she does is make horrible decisions then cry about them. No accountability and no growth. Here it is book 2, and she’s still making the same stupid decisions. Also, the other thing that I don’t like is how the Ramsey boys are supposed to be the big deal but they’re really low key a day late and a dollar short. How are you in the streets but you don’t follow your instincts? Anyway, I’m going to read book 3 and then take a break for a minute because these characters are low key stressing me out.

Why drag this on.

Ok
This was an okay read. The back and forth with Wrath & Kanada got old fast. The was he was judging Kanada was wrong on many levels. Pharaoh and his girl was the only ones I liked in this book. The storyline has begun to drag out.

Guns is so dumb 😩😩all this ruckus because he’s brainwashed by his, “love”. Whew lord. I feel like every couple went through it in book two, but no one surprised me more than Wrath. And the nerve of Terrence to show up demanding his family. The drama.

Great Read
Picked up right where the last installment left off with drama and more drama. Still enjoyed the storyline and these characters. This book was so good and I couldn't put it down....a page-turner. First, I must say, I really thought it was Brittany that Gunz was fooling around with.....really didn't see that one coming. Next, I'm going to need Kanada to stop all that crying and put her big girl panties on. Show Alvaro what he's messing out on...boss up on his behind. Love Surge and Dior together and their love for each other. A'Moya is exactly what Legion needed and I love his growth mentally and how they found love, regardless of her disability. Towards the end it was so many twist and turns that I'm wondering what's happening next and how they're all connected. Patiently waiting the next installment. Job well done Kelly Marie.

This ending had me on edge. I don't get how Wrath's father didn't know that Cookie was on drugs in his own city. I hope those guns blasting was that of Wrath and his brothers coming to help Surge out of his jam. Dior's father is asking to get killed and I hope Surge gets to do it. Wrath is really being hard on Kanada. If he loves her like he says he should be more forgiving, he was considering getting back with Brittany the next couple of nights. Guns needs to die too but at the same time he was brainwashed as a young boy. He may have learned his lesson. I love the way Amoya brought Pharoah out of his darkness and he loves him some her. I can't wait till the next book drops.

That ending though, ohh my goooodness. I so didn't see that coming. I swore it was Brittany with Guns. Nope..... that twist was bananas. Even though Kanada shoulda been honest with Alvaro I feel bad for her. Terrence did a number on her and you can tell her past is not only a sore subject but a huge embarrassment as well. Hopefully it works itself out but we'll see. Love how Pharoah was there for his girl and helped calm her insecurities with being a mom and being deaf. Dior's dad just doesn't know how to let go. Hope Surge makes out ok. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Omg, I was so proud of Kanada.
I expected the typical FMC who lets anybody tell her something about her man, believes it, and then causes a breakup. Nah. Kanada got Brittney together so fast and read her like a book. She had Brittney looking stupid, and I loved every second of it.
Whew Guns…That man was delusional. He looked strong because he was the one behind it all and knew what was coming next. His brothers would’ve never thought he was behind everything, so he always had the advantage.
Crazy part is it was all for nothing.
The cliffhangers are banging. Absolutely banging!
They are definitely run-to-the-next-book worthy.

Omgggggg! Book 2 got me on the edge of my seat. Yesss kelly!!!! I loved it. Lord knows this book had my blood pressure up. I was so not ready for that truth about my love! I thought Alvaro was about to get out on the s*** list for a minute there. I know it's about to go down in book 3 and I can't wait. Team ramsey!

Ok.. This was good. Gunz young dumb tail. Thinking with his Peter and let that overly grown woman take advantage of his simple Simon tail. Wrath was stressed out about his girl. What a book... Only person doing good is Surge and Legion. Wrath is so stubborn, so cold and Guns is exactly that, a stupid crybaby that is pathetic for a grown man; sad, sad, sad, and very sad indeed.
Kannada grow up and just stop feeling sorry for yourself already. And surely hope Brittany does get it back now...
