Oh boy - talk about a fall from grace. This series started out strong and this final book was just really not great. These are random thoughts (with spoilers) that I thought of as I was reading so I'm sorry if it's all over the place lol
I knew it was going to be rough when the story seemed to wrap up nicely around 58% and then the story started repeating. The rest of the book after that is just all of the characters playing hot-potato with the evil Staff of Eternity. The good guys kept getting the staff, then losing it to the bad guys, then getting it again, and so on. It was fucking boring honestly.
Also, this is the 1st book where I thought all of the characters were really fucking stupid. This book has the opposite of character development - all of the main characters got dumber as the series went on. These characters break out of jail, and they're literal fugitives, and they're like, hm let's just go back to our house and have sex and a nice night of sleep until we're ready to talk to the guys who put us in jail? It was also driving me crazy that they refused to kill anyone. Everyone they were fighting was trying to kill them, and the main characters kept fighting the exact same villains, and they'd be like "and I put him in a headlock and knocked him out!" And then later in the book, they'd be like "NOT THIS GUY AGAIN!" And i'm like well fucking duh...you didn't kill them so obviously he's back! They literally killed 1 character in the final battle (Jeremy) who has been a villain for the last 2 books and has repeatedly tried to kill them, but after finally killing him, they literally included his photo in the memorial of the battle. Like, what? Are you guys OK???
It was also a waste that Jonah has the power to change his appearance into other people, and it was legitimately never mentioned in this book. I thought for sure that he would take on Olivia's appearance as bait/to do a little surprise switch-a-roo in the final battle, but NOPE. It was just an invaluable power that has not been used or mentioned at all since book 1.
There were also too many villains between the duskhunters and Azrael. The duskhunters were unnecessary.
I'm still unclear how the final battle ended with Azrael being arrested for killing Michael. How do all of the other archangels suddenly have power over him after they haven't been able to overpower him for years? Is literally anyone surprised he killed Michael? I've known that since book 1. The literal first step in a murder investigation is to ask who benefitted the most from the murder. Has no one thought that it could have been the guy who literally took over all of the angels after Michael's death?! OH SHOCKING!
And I can't believe they just put Azrael in prison along with hundreds of his followers after the final battle. The main characters (who are all like 24-years-old) broke out of the same prison after 3 weeks. But sure, let's throw the extremely powerful, thousands-years-old archangel in this prison with his entire army and just hope that holds him! These fucking characters, man. They never learn. I hated them by the end of this book.
This book just didn't make sense in so many places. The whole thing with Uriel was dumb. The minor villainization of Gabriel was awful - he was literally my favorite character and they destroyed that. I'm getting annoyed again just typing this.
This felt like an episode of Scooby Doo where all the characters make dumb decisions and at the end, they pull a metaphorical mask off Azrael like Zoinks it was Azrael!! and Azrael's all like, I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids!!! Give me a break.
Also, I'm annoyed at how everyoneeee seemed to be everyone's half-brother/half-sister. There were so many new siblings just popping up left and right. It started to make everything super incestuous. I was like wait don't they each share a half-sibling with that angel parent..but they're fucking??
Pretty sure Jonah and his new girlfriend (I forget her name but she's Olivia's best friend) are going to be immediately murdered when they move to Faerie considering King Oberon was fighting alongside Azrael, but sure...let's say they lived HEA....
I have to say, my interest in the plot started to dwindle in this book so I'm glad this was a trilogy rather than having to read another book. It doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Fallen Kings because I did. I loved our main character and her guys. I loved seeing Callan trying to get in her good graces. It was pretty nice to see them all together without Callan having to be an ass about it. We also had some reunions and met a few new characters. I found a couple of things happened too easily at the end and I think it's something in the writing in those moments that don't totally connect with me but that's okay. We got our happy ending and I'm glad I met these characters :)
Fallen Kings was a pretty good book to end the Seraphim Academy Series. In it you still have the same gang, but a couple of new friends or love interests. Now this book did the impossible, it made Callan grow a soul and feelings. I think I almost passed out when he actually apologized for something. Hot damn, get this guy a heart and hug ASAP!
Other than that, this did dish out some awesome reunions. As well as some betrayals. I mean, sorry not sorry but Grace was crazy. So glad to see her off to prison and I hope she loves it. Then there's the whole battle, which it did seem to fly by for me, but I was honestly so happy to see everyone working together. It wasn't just one person doing all the fighting or whatever. Team work makes the dream work baby.
In the end, I am actually really happy how this all turned out. So happy that I got to read them with my buddy Deanie!
4.5 Stars I really loved this series start to finish and that hasn’t happened a lot lately. The character development and storyline all culminated in this book and everything turned out great in my opinion. There was a bunch of action and adventure this time around and the grim reality for angels and demons lies ahead. With her brother returned Olivia is more focused on ending the Order and putting a stop to their plans. What I loved and appreciated most about the book was the end and how skillfully the author wrapped up the story, all the little side stories and just left everything in a good place. Each character is set on their future path and I was so pleased with the way it all turned out. Two of her men are returning to teaching, Marcus and Callan will be assisting her on a secret mission to take down remaining members of the Order until that is, Olivia is offered her dream position as a liaison between both angels and demons by both her father and Lucifer. Her brother hooks up with Araceli and even Tanwen finds loooove. Olivia meets her estranged siblings and even has a much stronger relationship with both her parents when all is said and done. Kassiel remains my favorite of her men and I think Lucifer being his father (and a not so horrible guy) just made his character that much more awesome. It was really just a great book and ending (something I really find myself over analyzing lately.) Definitely going to keep this author on my radar because this was a really great read.
I like the first book and I loved the sucubus story and the RH was tolerable but the story did lose my attention midway through book 2 by this book (no3) I was done and I struggled I nearly DNF it.
It wasn’t terrible just boring and predictable. I won’t say don’t read it. But for an adult book it was quite childish and silly the plot was there but the story was no unfortunately I have 3 star as an overall for the 3 books rather then just the 3rd.
-RH -trilogy, read in order -no cheating -no m/m -multiple POV -trilogy starts with a light bully plot
Overall, I enjoyed the series. The reason for the deduction of two stars was because I did find the plot to be pretty predictable. I called every single thing that happened... before it happened. The other reason being I felt like the romance was very surface level. In the first two books there really wasn’t many conversations between the main characters that show us how they could be developing feelings for each other. Yes, they have sex, they’re attracted to each other, and we also hear their thoughts about the other characters, but other than sexual interactions, or when they’re arguing/on a mission, there really isn’t much romantic interaction between them, no depth to their conversations to show them truly getting to know each other on a deeper level. It’s more of a “telling” instead of “showing”. I also felt like the books dragged in a few places and I kept finding myself skim reading to get to the end. It was neat to read about a succubus as a main character, I did enjoy that.
Overall, it’s a solid, yet predictable read. I don’t regret reading it but it’s definitely not being added to my “read again and again and again” board. I will read other books by this author because she does have a dragon series I LOVED.
The third novel in the Seraphim Academy races through the year at school. At times I thought that this book might have been better broken up into two books to give more depth to the events in the book. So much happens that sometimes it seems like nothing is really important -- until the end. Olivia is still an awesome HBIC, and she solidifies her relationship with all four of her men. She also finally has good relationships with both her mom, Archdemon Lilith, and her dad, Archangel Gabriel. I won't reveal too many spoilers, but the end is a wonderful example of the power of togetherness that almost made me cry. Excellent book.

I must say that I'm thoroughly satisfied with this trilogy. I was a little worried in the beginning that the author wasn't going to be able to pull these books together to make it a good read. But applause to you Elizabeth Briggs, you did it girl and you've just earned yourself another fan.
I loved the first two books in this series but this final book was a huge let down in terms of how it was written. Rather than feeling like I was immersed in the story, this read more like a monotonous summary of events. The writing style was drastically different than the previous books. The dialogue felt like an afterthought and the entire story seemed rushed without being given a moment to breathe.
We all have different experiences with books and I personally found that I lost some interest in this around the halfway mark. But the start and the end of the book were fantastic and the sex scenes are great. I think there are a few controversial social aspects to consider with this book but without over analysis it's a good comfy sex book.
I find it hard to write a review on the first books in a trilogy because I feel like until you have the full story it's hard to have a well rounded opinion. Now I'm here at the end of book three I have clarity.
Olivia, Kessian, Callan, Marcus and Bastien are our leads through this journey and what a ride they gave us. Each character is very different and on their own personal journey and there was so much growth!!. There wasn't a quick fix into making them work, the dynamic took the whole three books to figure out and I loved that because we really get to see them face many obstacles along the way. Things like jealously, unease and not feeling enough. There is even some prejudice towards one another and that felt real. It felt like something that would happen in their situation. I mean there is alot of feelings to juggle there.
However they navigated this weird and wonderlust filled ride perfectly together and it all worked out in the end in the best most delicious ways.
Now the story is crazy because there was ALOT going on. We had...
Secrets and lies. Missing people. Huge betrayals. Personal growth. And a whole freaking five some.
But some how Elizabeth page by page tied the story together in such a way that you felt it all. The excitement of the unknown. The nerves at the suspense. The heat from the steam. The heartbreak from the betrayals and the shock that came with epic surprises. I felt every emotion and was so invested in the characters.
It's a climactic build with an epic finale that will rip your heart out before it glues it back together but honestly I'm not surprised after everything that has happened in this series up to this point. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions and I'm just glad I got to binge read them all together, it made for a seamless reading experience.
I loved Olivia and her guys. I loved getting to see other characters too. The personalities positively light up the pages. The story is long but it kept me engaged and it was full of flavour the whole damn way. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves pnr and Rh. It's a solid read and a great ending for me.
Book 3 had good elements like Book 1 and dull ones, too, like Book 3.
The change in scenery kept it fresh, and so did the way it happened.
There is more action and so much more smex, a little more adventurous which was needed.
As well as action, there was relationship and family building, which added a cosy element.
I get the feeling I should have been a bit more on edge towards the end. I have read books where moments like made me cry or sniffly at least. This didn't, and for me, that was a sign. I liked the characters okay, but I did not love them and am happy it's over. I'm also not curious about their futures.... no wait...maybe Lucifer although small in moments, he packed a punch for me.
I read this through audio, and the narrators were okay, not duel narrative, which would have been good. The male narrator made all the men sound high class English sometimes when the all around American accent the female did for the Princes and brother suited the vibe more, she also made them sound gruffer and basically saucier than the male narrator.
Well Well Well.. all wrapped up with a bow. Have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed this series as a whole. This last book here felt a tad rushed to tie everything up as well as possibly set up some spinoffs? Idk it was looking a little fishy there for a while. OMG that ending.. I was just about to die!
The author did a great job twisting and turning things here and there to always keep the reader guessing. I'm even more pleased by the fact that it felt like everyone in the story contributes to the fights. Olivia may be bad A but she isn't doing this alone which really pleased me that the other characters really get to shine in different ways as well.
I'll be on the lookout for a spinoff about Olivia's lil sis.. I feel like its coming for sure.
Okay, this book? Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. If you love action, adventure, and romance, this is your jam. It's incredibly emotional and honestly, you won't be able to put it down.
The writing pulled me right in; I felt like I was living the story. And the big reveal: demons are the good guys, angels are the bad guys? Mind. Blown. The storyline is killer, the fight scenes are epic, the love scenes are perfect, and the ending sticks the landing. Seriously, read it. You won't regret it!
I loved this book! It was an excellent conclusion to the series and I’m so sad to know it’s over now. This book certainly packed a punch with multiple plot twists, a couple tear jerker moments, and enough steamy scenes to make you blush 😅 I’m ultimately happy to know that Olivia and her men’s story is over, but I think this book left enough to make me super interested in any spin offs! I 100% need Lena’s story STAT!
I loved this series. Liv and her lovers were amazing. I loved Liv’s strength and independence. Her will was strong and unbreakable. The men in this series were each delicious in their own way and sinful all together. If you like these paranormal reverse haram stories then this series is for you. And if your not into this genre then TRY IT!!!
Well what can i say. this book was amazing and gripped me from page to page. So many things happened and each time you thought that the story could end something else happened. In the end you weren't just invested in the mc and her harem but the whole group of her friends and even the parents. It was amazing and I'm sad it's over but so glad that i read it.
I loved this series, my first by this author. It was intriguing from the start and I really liked Olivia. There was mystery, secrets, betrayals and some steamy hot scenes. Kassiel was a dream, as was Marcus. Callan and Bastien were growers but there were a lot of layers to them all with their heritage, powers and what they thought was true.
If you love Angels, Demons, Fae, Vampires where line between good and evil, dark and light twists and blurs and you're not always sure who can be trusted, this could be for you.
4.6 Stars Disclaimer: Please remember that these are my opinions and if you feel differently, that’s okay. Thanks!
Notes: POV = 1st person, FMC. Each of the MMCs have three 1st person POV chapters themselves. Main Characters: I’m going to keep this short and simple. Olivia is stubborn and loyal, and I’m slightly annoyed that she’s kind-of more of a push-over this time around. She doesn’t let people talk down to her but they’re treating her like she can’t be helpful and it’s upsetting. Callan is still a prejudice dick but learning. Bastien is all facts and it’s adorable, Marcus is the sweetest, and Kassiel is perfection.
Plot/Story: It’s a little all over the place, honestly. It all works out in the end.
General: Small mistakes were found like a random word was capitalised in the middle of a sentence (but not like Angel or Demon, it was not on purpose), or missing quotation marks. No big deal.
Quotes I Really Like:
Overall: I love this series as a whole, because I love so many scenes and sentences in it. The characters can be mediocre, occasionally, and there are some mistakes but I still love it.
Dark secrets emerge from the past... And she'll have to be careful, because if they fail? It’ll be the start of a new war between angels and demons—and she’ll be caught in the middle...
This book was downright sexy and steamy and so so good. I'm so sad this is the end for these characters but I'm hoping certain characters get their story especially someone's sister! Would love to read her story (sorry, can't elaborate more because I'll be venturing into spoiler territory!).
Finally we see all the men together and we see their characters evolve. Fantastic world building. Wonderful characters.
Once I received this book and started reading it, I could not put it don. I read it within a couple of hours - I devoured it so fast that after I read it, I did not know what to do with myself.
Full of angels, demons, lust, attraction, enemies, truths, succubus, family, friends and romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.
Reread: Audiobook
Gah! Amazing narration. Loved the finale and it was made all of the more special by the narrators. Bravo!
So I've finally come to the end of the trilogy. I almost gave up at the 57% mark of this book. Such a ludicrous and pointless addition of a character who did absolutely nothing to further the plot. Was irrelevant and pointless and made reading subsequent chapters a chore not a pleasure. However thankfully the author pulled it back and it ended on an OK note.
Three books and very little in the way of resolution.
If I had the chance would I read this trilogy again? No. Would I have paid anything to read this? Again no.
The writing is juvenile in places, the characters don't have much in the way of growth or dimension, the sex scenes are just OK and largely repetitive to the point where you skim read.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Wow there is so much going on in this final book to this trilogy!!! We finally get the answers to all of our questions while still keeping track of Olivia and her men. A well written riveting adventure that you will not be able to put down. Total must read for fans of supernatural reverse harem as well as those that have read the other two books. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
✅ Angels, Demons, Fae (and Humans) ☑️ Different subspecies and each has their own powers ☑️ School for each of the 3 non-human species 🆗 RH 🆗 Bullying (romance): not a fan of this trope 🆗 Investigation 🆗 Coming into power 🆗 Secret society/group 🆗⬇️ Special one 🆗 They fall first ☑️ HEA
❗ Needing se*ual energy. Scenes where the character is near starved and has to have s*x to survive. ❗Death

After the Order took possession of the Staff, Olivia is carefully guarded by family and friends as her heritage makes her uniquely qualified to hield the Fae artifact by herself.
Everyone is looking for the Order in hopes of finding and recovering the Staff.
The last school year for Olivia begins and she has to continue her investigations all the while maintaining her studies.
The only good think is she has her brother back and together they will finish this year.
And the guys are around, so there is that.
Even if Callum still hasn't apologized and Kassiel goes away for weeks in secret missions to locate the Staff at the request of his father.
Things are getting serious.
With the Order, the angel secret society, and the Duskhunters, the human group that hates angels and demons.
And with the guys.
Feelings are getting involved.
What will the future bring?
Is a succubus able to love after all?

Notes:
The final book!
A lot of it was quite predictable really.
Some plot twists and revelations were a bit forced in my opinion.
They created some inconsistencies and that feel of "special cookies".
By "special cookies" I mean "special ones", the "you are the only one that can do it" and they discover their power or something fulcral just in time to save the day, all the while instinctly knowing how to do what needs to be done without training.
All that thing with Olivia, that she was in danger because the Order would want her and force her to hield the Staff... It gave the idea that she was the only one that could be forced to do it, which is wrong. The Order could equally force others to do it by threatening/blackmailing them as well.
Overall it was a nice read but it lacked in the delivery.
The plot felt a bit forced, nice but... it just...it missed that feeling of fulfillment and the revelation moment where everything fits right.
This was more like, when it came that moment, a lot of the things we knew were shoved aside to create the space to fill with the revelations, and it was an imperfect fit with parts hanging out and crossing over each other. I don't know if I could transmit the idea... 😅
The romance was okay. Firstly, it was just s*x in order to survive, then a bit of friends (and hate) with benefits (in order to survive) and eventually, right at the end, love.
There were some spicy 🔥 scenes, not gonna lie, but it was mostly: wam bam thank you ma'am (in this case, gentleman), thanks for the feeding.
I was more excited for what would come next as they continue with their lives than what happened in this book.

As always my respect to the author. No hate nor hurt intended with this review.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It wasn't mind-blowing or ground-breaking or anything like that but I guess it was..decent? I don't know if I really did enjoy it or I was still super hyped from the second one. Though I did finish it quite quickly again. I mean I read two books in the span of 24 hours so that pretty much summed up my feelings about this book, and this series in general. (And I've already come to terms with the fact that my standard for books is so not decent so yayyyyy shittily entertaining books for the win.)
I think the ending was quite fitting with everything. Yes, it was cheesy to the core and still childish to the very max, but I mean...everything was kinda obvious from the beginning about the writing and everything so I'm not too mad about it. But chaotic might not even be enough to describe this ending. Suddenly, so many things happened and I was kinda confused the whole time reading it. It went from little to no plot to too many plot twists in like a matter of second..and I'm not sure if that was a good thing or not.
I wasn't satisfied with Callan in the slightest. He didn't grovel enough, and that annoyed the hell out of me. Jonah and Araceli were a weird and forced pair. So I didn't have it in me to care about them. The relationship between Liv and all her lovers was quite..disappointing? I mean it's hard enough to write a decent relationship between two people. Imagine 5 of them. Ye...I don't think that part was executed well at all. I didn't feel any chemistry between any of them. Nor did I have any faith in them lasting for eternity. I'm sorry but it's what I felt. Maybe the author did intend for the romance to be just a small sub-plot....?(I'm lying to myself at this point.) I mean you could argue that this story focused mainly on Liv finding and accepting what she was, and her journey in the academy..but..how is it even possible that I didn't feel any chemistry between anyone at all??? It's filled with smut, goddamnit.
And I'm not sure if I liked how everything tied back to that one person. I mean, ye he was the last boss and stuff but all the archangels not being able to do anything about it for years and then suddenly, boom, solved. I beg your finest pardon but what the fuck? Eh. I'm here for a fun time anyway and I did enjoy reading it so all is fine. Oh and one thing that I need to mention. The author did successfully convince me to buy Lucifer's books. Ye, his cameos did things to my heart. Hey, I enjoyed reading this so might as well risk it right? Right...?
