My name is Kai Humphries, I am a respected scientist, I have thrown my life at my work In order to study the behaviour of Scottish stand-up comedian Daniel Sloss. I went deep undercover, joining him on his tour masquerading as his support act, fooling the world I was also a stand up comedian in order to get close enough to my subject to write this field report. A true break through in modern behavioural scientific research. I hope you can learn something from my sacrifice. This report is a collection of my observations from traveling to 17 European Cities spanning 20 days in close proximity to my patient, the findings are nothing short of extraordinary. "This book is full of lies" - Daniel Sloss "Absolute slander, if you publish this I'm suing you for defamation" - Daniel Sloss "Stop asking me for a f***ing quote, I hate you" - Daniel Sloss
A really funny little book (pronounced with a Geordie accent). It takes a series of anecdotes and turns them into something that’s a bit like a spoof of an academic paper, but best of all, it’s a book about two of my favourite comedians. A great read if you want a bit of a laugh on a quiet day at somebody else’s expense.
Riveting case study conducted by Dr. Humphries. It is in everyone's best interest to give this beautiful read a try. Dr. Humphries truly employs all of his elite knowledge and education, and endeavours in fieldwork that has never been documented before. I laughed, I cried, but most importantly I learned that what happens in travels doesn't always stay in travels. This lesson has made an immense impact on the question "who is it I can trust?". Trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed.
It's a really fun little book and I enjoy the tales Kai tells about Daniel in it very much. The style of writing had me giggle a lot during the first few pages, but it got a bit old by the end of the book. Overall a fine and funny book, Muggins and Cream fans will be delighted to read it.
You can't not read this in Kai's voice, albeit putting on a scholarly twang.
I enjoyed hearing muggles and creams story, and especially enjoyed the 2020 update, bringing me back to the good times of lockdown (cos there were some!)
Seriously one of the best things I’ve ever read. Even if you don’t know who Daniel Sloss is (do yourself a favor and check out his Netflix and HBO specials) you can still thoroughly enjoy this. I highly recommend putting it to a David Attenborough voice.
My only criticism is all the run-on sentences. I get this is a journal and I shouldn’t really judge grammar but for the love of Uthgar, man, use some gorram periods!
If you are a fan of these two - odd if you're not frankly, why are you even looking at this review if you are not? - then you'll appreciate this book I love a good friendship
