The Message for the Last Days

Rate this book
The future is revealed by understanding the past, where history and mystery are intertwined.

How can we know what the future holds if we don't understand the past? This question is at the heart of this book as much of modern Christian culture has lost its roots. The crux of the book is derived from consistent biblical interpretation methods to find hard truths about our fate mentioned in the Bible.Topics include answers to these questions:

Why is the Christian Church so divided with many different denominations and independent Churches? Isn't there just one true Church?

How did the modern Church get so far removed from early Church beliefs as clearly stated in the New Testament and by the early Church fathers?

What are the original prophecies in the Old Testament about the end times and how are they repeated in the New Testament?

Does the nation of Israel have anything to do with end times? What is the true meaning of the gospel and salvation?

These questions are answered by a thorough examination of various interpretation methods. This book explains six different biblical interpretation options then reveals a unified approach to understanding the Bible.

Books and articles by KJ Soze cut across various denomination lines to help find unity and clarity for those who may hold differing interpretations.

The Message for the Last Days provides detailed historical research of complex topics, such as end times and the afterlife, then condenses the results into a compact format to save time for those interested in biblical studies. The process is an integration of scriptural references, concordances, topical studies and commentaries into a unique package to help clarify the Bible's message about the future.

The Message For The Last Days isn’t one of those preachy religious books, but one that gives careful thought and consideration to the messages in the bible. I wasn’t sure if this would really be a book I would enjoy or not, but I’m really glad that I read it.

The author give us his interpretation of many philosophical points made in the bible, even answers questions would be another way to look at it. However he is not trying to persuade the reader to do this or that, it’s more like guidance so we can find our own answers or way. I think anybody who reads the Bible can interpret it in their own way, but this is a very valuable perspective a wide scope of readers could benefit from. I feel this is a book for anybody, not only Christians.

'Faith is a bridge from grace given to living by this gift - grace'

Author K.J. Soze, in his words is 'an independent publisher who provides Biblical research of complex topics such as the afterlife, then I boil it down into a summary with references so readers can save time with their Bible studies. The books I write cut across various Church and denomination lines to fine unity and clarity for those who hold differing beliefs.' Soze is not affiliated with any denomination or Church. What he offers in this book is a sound, intensively researched presentation of all of the descriptions of the End Of Days - those known and those that may be obscure to many.

The extent of research into the topic of 'what's next - after this life' or the Second coming of Christ as in the biblical Revelations, or Armageddon as so many current films and books and blogs describe, has rarely been as impressive as this volume. And yet Soze's presentation is accessibly warm and supportive as he guides the reader through the many references that describe the final days of the earth and mankind.

The opening discussion is shared here to encourage readers to follow through the explanations offered: A key to understanding the bible is learning how to properly interpret it through guidance of the Holy Spirit. Sounds simple. However, cultural traditions and personal biases complicate our efforts. Another barrier arises from the biblical concept that there are three realms of existence: our physical world, God's heavenly realm, and a spiritual realm that bridges the other two…Passages that seem contradictory are possible to harmonize by identifying their relationship to these separate realms…' This inviting style makes a profound topic accessible.

The message of the book is based on Christianity, and that is made clear in the many quotations for the Bible. Soze brings it all together and in the he offers the following: 'Christ is coming again, and he is bringing his reward with him, along with the crown of eternal life. H e has commanded his workers to call those whom he would choose into repentance. Christ began by calling prophets and apostles; now it is up to us to extend the call. How can the elect hear the gospel if the Word is not preached?...Instead of debating our individual interpretive models, we must strive for unity in the Spirit. Our modern mindset would have us cling to our own perspectives and divides accordingly. But God calls us to gather together and seek his objective truth together. May we lay aside our self-centeredness and submit to the Spirit.'

This is a scholarly tome that seeks to unify all thought on the End of Life. In these precarious times it is fine food for thought.

The Message for the Last Days is Christianity-based book. This is made clear by numerous quotes from the Bible. Its gives a future revelation on the progression of End-Time events. The book purports to reveal the true message in contrast to changes that have created a belief about these events.

Soze takes us step by step from where we began, where we are, and up to the end days description in a logical manner through Biblical prophecies that are based on extensive research. You will learn how contemporary culture beliefs have affected Christianity. The book tackles many issues, including original prophecies, salvation, and the Gospel. The book also examines why the church is divided into many denominations.

The author undertakes detailed Biblical research to find clarity and common ground regarding different beliefs on salvation. He makes a supportive presentation as he gives guidance and references to describe the final days in this world. Reading this book, you will get invaluable guidance on understanding the Bible.

I should start by saying that I am not at all a religious person, but I am interested in how religion has influenced modern-day beliefs and how interpretations of the bible made hundreds of years ago are still considered gospel (pardon the pun) despite times and attitudes have changed so rapidly. So, whilst I don't believe in the messages in the Bible, I was really interested in the different interpretations researched and documented in 'The Message for the Last Days' in relation to the end of days.

It was a fascinating read and rather than being preachy is encourages you to make your own interpretations on what things may mean. You don't have to believe, but you can still enter into the debate. My views on religion haven't changed, but I still enjoyed this informative read.

The Message for the Last Days was given to me by Hidden Gems Books in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I have read many different books about God, about the Bible, and about end times. Many of those books are hard to read. They read like a professional journal when I need something more in layman's terms. This book was different. I was able to follow along, not get lost in jargon that was over my head. I'm an educated person but theology was not my major.

The Message for the Last Days gives indepth explanations. The Bible verses are dissected and put in to terms more suited for this place in time. The book explains the how to differentiate between a verse referring to the physical realm, the heavenly realm, or the spiritual realm and how these can interact with one another. It also shows us how and why we need to let go of our preconceptions and wrong interpretations.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to better understand the Bible. It is very eye opening and educational.

This is just a draft, I can not check on some passages on my kindle... it keeps on crashing as I try to navigate between chapters in this particular book (other books do not have the same problem) to look up and verify some of my statements here. I reached up to Chapter 4 ~ The New Covenant and the author has explained the previous chapters to me so thoroughly... if by being repetitious could do it, then he has done it for me. This would not be my final rating and my final review, I would have to give those after I have finished reading and meditating on his words. It was a bit if a shock and an outrage, though, to be resurrected on Christ's Second Coming and then to be judged to be Hellbound. As for me, I am just barely managing to survive in this Present Time to be bothered with the Last Days... it would be good to know, though. What I understood in the State of Grace timeline that we are all in, was that when Christ became the Son of Man and lived here on this earth and then died on the cross for Believers, he made it possible for Christians to be Aware of the Law and He made it 'easier' (for want of a better word) to Obey or follow the Law (thus the phrase 'to fulfill the Law') that God gave to Moses because each individual Believer had to Know and must Repent of his sins and acknowledge Christ's role in his own Epiphany and the works and fruits of the Holy Spirit later on in his life as a Christian... that without or apart from Jesus, navigating this crazy and cruel world, would be quite difficult. One more thing, since he is at pains to remind the reader of the Mosaic Covenant and the obedience of the Law could be perceived as works, but it would not be works when the Christian, sometimes with great difficulty, would try to obey the Law by being just himself, a Believer transformed by Christ and the Holy Spirit as far and as long as he would let God in his life... his heart... and his mind. Therefore, we need His strength... His comfort... His presence... thus, I am Reassured of His continued Presence in my life and I am Whole. Here is what I have surmised so far from pondering on this book's message: (1) God's promise of land to Abraham has not yet been fulfilled but that said land would be This Earth and not just a piece of land that is Israel and that the heirs are All Believers, both Jews and Gentiles. (2) That God made a mistake in creating Man but Noah talked Him out of destroying Man; and He made a promise to Noah after the Flood, that the rainbow was to remind Him not to destroy the earth through flood in the future. So, God may be omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and eternal BUT he made a mistake in creating Man... did He also make others? (3) That during the Rapture, those left behind are the True Believers and that those taken away would be destroyed... POOF! (4) That during the Tribulation, the Believers would be taken up in the clouds with Christ until the great trials have passed. There may be other issues here but those are what I could come up with at this point. It is good and healthy to have questions and yet still BELIEVE.

When I finished reading this book, I took a pause to ponder on some of the explanations the author had for Biblical passages from the Old and New Testaments. Here, the author singles out the differences between the Abrahamic covenant and the Mosaic covenant. The author explains the Abrahamic covenant as the promises of God upon Abraham and his lineage. Honestly, I never knew about these concepts until I read this book. I knew about Abraham’s blessings from God but I did not know the term that applies to them in all. The same as for the Mosaic covenant which are the blessings that God promises the Israelites as a whole. The author explains that Biblical passages can be interpreted in two ways: the figurative or the literal. I agreed with him, as the Bible is made up of these passages which are quite difficult to relate to unless you are either blessed with the Holy Spirit or you know your literal or figurative stuffs.

I really enjoyed this book and give it all 5 stars because the author really seems to know what he is talking about. It also is very easy to read with its everyday language and all. The book is divided between chapters with sources listed at the end of each. I commend the author so much for this because I am one of those people who seem to pay little attention to bibliographies that lie at the end of a lengthy book and believe me, this is a lengthy book.

I recommend this book to lovers of the Bible as it is a great addition to your collection of spiritual mediums. I firmly believe that only those who know the Bible well will enjoy this read because it talks about terms that only those who are Christians and readers of the Bible will fully understand and or grasp. I am fortunate that I have knowledge of the Bible because not to seem like I am bragging that I am a Christian and I have read the Bible from cover to cover. So there you have them, my thoughts on this great piece of work. The interpretations seem to align with the theme of the books of the Bible that are being discussed it is just awesome.

I confess to only reading 31% of this book on my Kindle. The sub-title of the book reads, "Biblical and Historical Understanding of End Times," which is something I'm very interested in. The first part of the book, however, was almost completely about the covenants God made with Israel in the Old Testament. While I found that subject interesting and I felt like I learned something about the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants that I didn't know before, that was not the direction I was hoping to go. The author said that part of the book was background to help the reader understand the later information. The author seemed to drag out the explanation of the covenants for a number of chapters, repeating the same info in various ways. Then, when the direction changed and he began writing about the end times, it became apparent that he does not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture - something I firmly believe in. His explanation for believing in a post-trib "rapture," using scripture in the New Testament was way off base - to my understanding. At that point, I decided to stop reading. It's not that I don't want to be open-minded in places that it is helpful, but when it comes to God's Word and the truth that I have seen written there and firmly believe, I don't think it helps to question such God-given beliefs. I recently saw a sign that read, "If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything." I stand on the Word of God and I simply don't see it in the same way as K.J. Soze when it comes to the rapture.

This is was a deep, engaging book. I’m glad to have been able to read it. I loved the lessons and interesting views on Abraham and the land inheritance that God promised the children of Israel. There were two views written of that I didn’t agree with unfortunately, but we don’t always agree on everything and the author writes about that as well. But two views I didn’t agree on was 1. That God isn’t going to destroy the earth. That he’s just going to renew or refurbish it. I believe, He is going to destroy them. He said there will be a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. He doesn’t want anything left of Satan and sin. Everything will be new. This is why I believe this. 2. That we will receive rewards each of us that are “saved” to a different degree or level. I don’t agree. I believe we will have eternal life and everything that goes with that and that’s fine by me. If I find I’m wrong about these things, when I get to judgement day and I find I was wrong. So be it. I don’t believe it’s a necessity to salvation. But really amazing book. Learned so much. Thank you to publishers of #TheMessagefortheLastDays and #NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review with my honest opinion.

This book is a deep and insightful look at Christianity. What I found to be the most intriguing part of this book was the depth of research that was done in creating the book. There is a lot about history and delving into the old and new Testament. I was definitely intrigued by some of the questions that author K.J. Soze brought up throughout the book, as they are things I have questioned before. Things like: Why is the Christian Church so divided with many different denominations and independent Churches?, What are the original prophecies in the Old Testament about the end times and how are they repeated in the New Testament?, and How did the modern Church get so far removed from early Church beliefs as clearly stated in the New Testament and by the early Church fathers? The book mainly focuses on the idea of salvation and how Christianity has changed in modern times. I felt that Soze did a good job of articulating himself and doing his research. The book definitely has a clear perspective. I didn’t agree with everything that Soze said in this book, but I still found it to be an interesting read.

A very clear writing about the last days. This is one book that researches all of the prophecies and designates which are physical, which are spiritual, which are in between.

Well researched and well written although rather repetitious. It is fully literalist and so misses out on any spiritual truths and so the end-time conclusions are false.

The Message for the Last Days - Biblical and Historical Understanding of End Times, by K. J. Soze. Published by K. J. Soze. 2019. 372 pages. Genres: Biblical Exegesis / Christian Eschatology / Analysis of Religious Texts

This work proposes an objective analysis and an accurate interpretation of the message of end times, contained in the Bible and represented by three fundamental events announced throughout the books that compose it: the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment.

For this, the author utilizes an "objective interpretative method", as he calls it, whose goal is the identification of the divine truth and its absolute meaning, so that there is no room for doubt or partial or individual interpretations. The proposed interpretation process is an objective integration of the references, concordances, studies on specific topics and existing comments on the subject, with the rigorous citation of the biblical texts —comparing the diverse translations accepted by the main Christian churches— and in attention to the different exegetical approaches that have existed in the history of the Christian religion.

K. L. Soze explains how the various interpretations —both figurative and literal ones— can affect the belief systems, and how these systems can affect, in turn, the interpretation. To maintain consistency, the author proposes to always use a system of literal interpretation, both for the passages written in a literal language and for those others that are written in a figurative language, based on the idea that they all speak of events that will occur literally in any of 3 possible kingdoms: the celestial, the spiritual or the earthly. He also considers that all the alliances contracted both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament must be fulfilled to the letter and that all biblical texts have full cohesion and concordance.

The topics covered are: 1) Principles of biblical interpretation. 2) The Earth's alliance. 3) The promised land and the kingdom of heaven. 4) The new alliance. 5) The inheritance of Christ. 6) The second coming of Christ. 7) The resurrection of the righteous. 8) Rest and wait. 9) The cultural myths of life after death. 10) Human nature. 11) Christening and rebirth. 12) Dueling natures. 14) God's way. 15) The judgment of the righteous. 16) Rewards for pious work. 17) The unity of the end times.

Personally, I find that the rigor and objectivity with which this book has been researched and written are impeccable and that both the style and the content are totally professional. We are facing a coherent, complete, detailed and very punctual analysis of a fundamental theme of the Christian faith.

The author warns that the book is based on an absolute belief in God and in the validity of the biblical texts as a universal truth, and that it is most likely that a non-believing reader will find his analysis invalid or useless. I think that even if one would read the Bible as a fictional story, The Message for the Last Days would be invaluable in understanding the connections, implications and the unity that exists between the various books that make up the book of books better known as The Bible.

The Message for the Last Days - Biblical and Historical Understanding of End Times, por K. J. Soze.

I picked this up not because I'm Christian, but because I was curious about what was inside based on the blurb. I truly enjoyed reading this, and found it quite interesting. The title feels a little misleading - this isn't a doomsday book, but one that examines biblical philosophy, and makes it accessible to lay people. The bible is a large book, and you'll see many interpretations out there, I'd add this book as one of the better ones I've read. Soze clearly did a lot of research and contemplating on everything presented, and I liked how easy it was to read and understand. Even if you aren't Christian, but have an interest in what the bible says from a philosophical standpoint, you'll find this book to be quite interesting.

Great info. Tons of scripture. Too voluminous. I got lost. Many smaller volumes would have been better. Overwhelmed and don't remember exactly what I just slugged through! No desire to read another voluminous book that claims to be for the Last Days. This wasn't, yet the title claims the same. Very contradictory. Contains alternative views for what you thought you knew. Again, had it been several much smaller volumes, each pertaining to the point author was trying to get across, I might've been convinced. It may also get more readers.

Interesting viewpoint.

Although this book stands alone well in it's own right I would agree with the author that it will seem much clearer if read after having read the authors previous book, "Revelation Explained".

A must read for every believer in Christ

I've been searching for truths about salvation and end-times, including Destined for Eternity (an allegory of end-time prophesy), and the two books are complementary and useful reads toward that end. There is quite a bit of misinformation in our world, so understanding the truths of scripture is imperative. Exactly what did Jesus mean when he talked about abiding in Him? Can a believer loss sight of the promise, lose faith, and have his name blotted out or erased from the Book of Life? We all need to understand these things before it's too late.

It is definitely an interesting book. I try to not judge people and give them the right to their opinion. In this book you will totally see the opinion of the author. Not all of what is mentioned is Biblical truth, however does allow you to voice your own opinion with what is written. Form your own opinion and read it.

Fuzzy

Tried to follow reasoning, such as saying that the Bible is teaching that 2 people in the field, one is snatched away for damnation (instead of snatched/raptured), the other left behind to be with Jesus (instead of left behind to experience God's Tribulation judgement) ... And gioes on to assert it's like vultures gathering to pick apart the corpse (which would be what one normally would think is left behind...) At least, that's what I understand Soze to be saying... I gave up...

I am not sure if I agree with anything. this author has to offer in this book but it is different from a perspective that is interesting. I am not worried about being led astray because I know I am grounded in the scripture and through the spirit of the Lord I will not fall. I just caution any other Christian to prayerfully consider the words within this book.
