Elena Paige is a children's and teen author with a background in counselling psychology. She loves creating stories which inspire and transform young readers - either through empowering them, entertaining them, or encouraging them to be more creative and imaginative.
Her books, while being filled with magic and wonder, have real life characters with real life issues - like fitting in, trusting yourself, dealing with inner conflict and more!
Her greatest value in life is CREATIVITY - nurturing it, enhancing it and using it! She loves encouraging children to believe in themselves and accept their own way of creating, even if it's outside the box. The most amazing creatives of our time rarely fitted in!
Her absolute favorite book as a child was "No Flying in the House." She always knew magic was real, but when all attempts to bring her favorite teddy to life failed, she adopted a dog instead. Her Moodle dog, named Lucky, is always by her side when she writes.
On Sunday mornings you can find her hiding under her bed covers reading, while her children are wondering where their favorite book has disappeared.
This is a middle grade book. This is the third book in the Evie Everyday Witch series, and I have read the first two books in this series before picking up this book. I really enjoyed this book. This is a cute fast pace middle grade series, and it has cute message in the book. This book is well written, and great for 3rd grade and up. This is a simple chapter book that is great for younger readers that is just starting to read chapter books. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
This is a great middle school series, especially for kids who often have big feelings and dive into things without thinking, but often have the best intentions. This is for all those kids who feel like they just want to have some positive attention for once, who want to be praised for something they did right, rather than for something they did wrong even if they didn't intend for it to happen that way. This is for those kids who just want to prove to others and to themselves that they can do it all by themselves.
This is Evie Everyday Witch in a nutshell. She has gotten this far because she has a good heart and really good friends and even if it takes her a long time to realize what they're telling her, that they love her and accept her for exactly who she is and that they want to help her not just because she needs them but because they love her and want to help her. I love how the author takes us through all of Evie's big feelings and I can imagine many older elementary and middle school kids being able to relate to her.
I really enjoy this series and know that my younger students would have fun with it. The illustrations are a lot of fun, and the stories are short enough for readers to fly through and feel satisfied. While there were times when I was yelling at Evie in my mind to "not do it", I also knew that eventually, she would realize that her friends were right and that she would make it right in the end. The moral of this series is that we don't exist in a vacuum and that we are all better off when we work together, lean on each other, and build each other up.

This is book 3 of the Evie Everyday series.. It is a wonderful book. As an adult, I loved the series. Then again I love children's books. This series was so much fun to read! I think children of all ages would enjoy the little witch series. It's a highly recommended series.
I got a free copy of the book and is voluntarily leaving a review
I love Elena Paige's books but found this one to be not quite as engaging for me as the previous two books but still a very nice book. I felt this one dragged a bit more and felt a little rushed at the end. Still love the characters and there was even time travel and zombie squirrels too. Beautiful illustrations throughout the book too.

This book written for children teaches a good lesson. Evie is determined to do things on her own and she needs to save the town. Such a good story and the children reading will learn a lesson without even hardly realizing it as they get involved with the story line. I have read others in this series and so far each has been very enjoyable.

Evie is at it again! She is always trying to save the day by herself. This in turns leads to more trouble but ends in a good way.
A great read for young children. The characters are relatable and the lesson that it teaches is great for all ages. Easy to follow storyline. Funny and charming. Loved it.
It’s a really funny book. The kids say there needs to be another one and it is a great adventure. It’s my favourite yet. We laughed so much together as I read it to the kids.

This fits similarly to the others, it's alright but I'm not sure the reasoning behind having the first half of the book be gross-out humour. I think I wasn't as engaged at the first two, Evie seems like she's backtracked in her personality and goals and it felt uncomfortable. The writing is about the same as the other two, strong enough, and the illustrations fit the energy and age range, this is just alright.
A great third book in the Evie Everyday Witch series, great story with amazing characters, these books are really easy to read and get into , amazing writing by an incredible author... These books make you smile as you read them .. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series
Thank you so much for writing this book🩷. I love how pops can talk and how every last picture is colored can’t wait to read the next. And Aunty floss is quite creative.
In her past adventures, Evie the Everyday Witch has only succeeded with the help of her friends. She is convinced that everyone thinks she is actually bad at being a witch! That is why Evie is so determined to prove herself as the most clever witch around in Special Magic, the third book in the Evie The Everyday Witch Series by Elena Paige. When magical creatures inexplicably begin to wreak havoc in her town, Evie is determined to save the day completely on her own and forbids her friends - human, witch, and magical pets - to help. But as circumstances become more complicated, Evie soon finds herself in more trouble than she bargained for and is forced to decide between letting her friends help her or using Special Magic. Will she be able to defeat whoever is causing all the trouble in her town by herself or will she learn to accept her friends’ help once again?
Special Magic, the third book in the Evie The Everyday Witch Series by Elena Paige, was a fantastical, quirky, and fast paced book. I would highly recommend reading the first and second books in the series before this one to better connect with Evie and her many friends through their backstories, relationships, and adventures. One thing I love about this book is the way the author wove important life lessons all throughout the plot. While Evie’s bright and quirky friends teach readers the importance of letting true personality shine, Evie learns through her adventure that friendship and cooperation can be more important than individual heroism. Unlike other fairy tales which commonly feature witches as the antagonists, this book is unique in that witches are portrayed as the “good guys” and get the chance to fight evil. In addition to the exciting storyline, several cute cartoons really help to bring this book to life. I recommend this book to fantasy lovers ages 7-13.
