I love sexy and broody alpha men, and that was Maddox to a T! He just oozes sexiness every time he speaks or when he looks at Bailey. Bailey was equally attracted to him, but initially found him to be pompous and rude. The more time Bailey spent with Maddox, the better she got to know him, and discovered her first impression of him was not who he truly was. Or was it? Are they ready to throw caution to the wind and live in the moment, while they are quarantined? Or will Maddox be too cautious for fear of hurting Bailey?

I enjoyed this story of Maddox and Bailey. When COVID came, life changed. We all were required to stay home and stay away from others. In this story Bailey finds herself working for the Owner of her company. Having to move in with him, what happens between them was so enjoyable to read. Their chemistry and the help they gave each other to deal with their pasts, made for such a great story. Romance is possible regardless of the situation.

Like Bailey, the news is not something I follow closely.

I loved the premise of being thrown together, two consenting adults who barely know each other or have said a word to each other in the 5 years Bailey has worked at Maddox's company.

It was a slow burn, where we got to know lots about each of them.

Maddox needs to have someone work alongside, assisting him whilst the country fights Covid-19, the pandemic threatening and taking hold, world wide. They are both undertaking different roles, whilst the conpany finds its new normal.

Whilst it all starts off professionally, lines are soon crossed and they learn more about each other, whilst finding a comfortable working relationship.

They both carry back stories, and begin to understand each other, which starts as being one sided on Baileys part, it soon becomes apparant that they bith have feelings, which ruffles both theur feathers. It was refreshing that they actually talked through what they both were feeling, what they had and were dealing with.

They make a great couple, and although I felt the ending was a bit quick, I likeed hoe they ended up.

Good, thought provoking story, now where's my billionnaire boss..... so I can steal his heart...Oh hang on, I'm already married to the boss...

I WISH!

Lucky girl! This was a short story obviously inspired by the situation we are facing today. I liked it as it put a lighter face on this pandemic. I can’t imagine this would happen in real life but a girl can dream, right?

Sweet!

One good thing about covid-19

I love this story of 2 lost souls. Covid brought them together and love kept them that way. Great story line and believable.

Boss and Assistant in Close Quarters
Quick enjoyable read that takes place at the beginning of the COVID Epidemic. It is about two people who would never have come together if not for being in quarantine together because of COVID. Bailey had been working for Essential Solutions for about a year when she had an encounter with CEO Maddox Steel. She has hated him ever since. She will agree he is gorgeous and driven, but otherwise he is a pompous, uncaring unconcerned asshole. Now he need wants her to fill in for his assistant who is sick with COVID and that means along side him at his home. Soon she starts to see another side of Maddox and starts to fall for him. He says she deserves to be treated like a princess, but it will have to be by someone else as he is bad man and nothing can happen between them. Their attraction and the journey of over coming their past heartaches make for a great light story.

This is actually a good book, just not my type (sorry!!)

The whole plot is surrounding COVID and the story is rather quite interesting and a newer concept. I like how the author wrote it, how the story actually flowed.

The only no-no trigger point for me is mentioned rape from Bailey (when she’s virgin) and the sad background from Maddox.

It was just me, I would rather to read something abit more light, like just got abusive bf/ gold digger ex-wife, than something like this. (I’m so sorry again!)

Big push/pull from Maddox
Sex
Mentioned of raped (when Bailey’s still a virgin)
Trauma from ex-wife
