Miles - I may be young, but I know what I want. And what I want is Jake Woods. He’s funny, caring, gorgeous...and straight. Which is exactly why I need to stay away from him. I’m only going to get my heart broken. But I can’t help it; every day I fall a little deeper in love with the guy. My best friend Finn’s wedding was the best day of my life - not only because I was happy that my friend married the man of his dreams, but because I worked up enough courage to ask Jake to dance. He held me in his arms on the dance floor all evening and I pretended that he was mine. Of course he only did it because he’s super chill about sexuality and considers me a good friend. He couldn’t possibly know how much it meant to me. He’ll never know what he means to me. However, I’m no stranger to trouble and heartache, so what’s a little more?
Jake - I’ve got a problem; a handsome, brown-eyed, wonderful problem. I’ve fallen ass deep in love with my cousin-in-law Finn’s friend Miles. He’s my friend too, which is where the problem comes in. I’m so far into the friendzone I can’t even see daylight anymore. Just a few days ago, I shared an incredible moment with him; he asked me to dance and Finn and Harley’s wedding and I held his perfect little body all night long. Of course, he only asked me because I’m the safe, “straight” friend. If he knew the truth about my feelings for him and how much that evening meant to me, he’d probably freak the hell out and keep his distance. I should keep my distance too and guard my heart, but I can’t stay away.
*This M/M friends-to-lovers romance is for readers 18 and up! It has no cliffhangers or cheating and a very happy HEA. It is a low angst, feel good, insta-love story filled with laughs, sass, and of course lots of steamy scenes! Jake and Miles were introduced in the first two books of the "Head over Wheels" series, and this story would be best enjoyed after reading those installments.

I live in rural Ohio with my husband and two sons who drive me nuts, but I love them with all my heart. I enjoy reading and writing romance of all types, but gay romance is my forte and favorite! Twice the sexy men? Yes, please! My books tend to be low angst because it hurts my heart, but they do contain lots of heartfelt moments, steamy scenes and a healthy dose of humor. Thank you to everyone for checking out my page and I hope you enjoy my books. Happy reading!

Miles has been crushing on Jake, his straight best friend and Harley's cousin. They've grown very close and both enjoyed a magical moment at Finn and Harley's wedding. After a car accident leaves Miles needing some TLC, Jake decides he's just the man to do it. When the truth comes out that they both have been crushing on the other, sparks fly and neither can get enough of the other.

This was super sweet and low-angst. I mean ZERO angst. Which I found to be perfect at the moment. I loved both guys from earlier books and am glad they get a HEA. The epilogue was perfect!

* A short story that feels big ! *
A well made short story. We see EMT, Jake, rescue Barista, Miles, from a slippery, snowy car accident. We like our men right away.
This one is light, heartwarming and sexy, with first times.
The epilogue is fun.
Enjoy !

My only gripe with this was that I’d wish it would have been a tad longer. Miles and Jake are so cute together.

While I enjyoed seeing Jake & Miles finally get together, sadly this book was too short and rushed to really show their relationship development. Honestly I feel the previous book had better moments of them together, then this whole book which is supposed to be their story.

Still I did love seeing their povs and how they fell in love with each other, it just would've been better to have seen more on page. Also the main plot of this with the accident, didn't work well for the romance either although comfort vibes are great.

Wish had been set across a week or two at least to have showed recovery, feelings reveal and such more naturally. As it was just rather rushed and sudden so it didn't work for me. Especially as Miles has a concussion the same day/night, when they reveal feelings and sleep together.

Lovely to see more of Harley and Finn as always, the humor is a lot of fun and makes me smile every time. The ending is a happy one and I adored the epilogue set years later, which caught up on everyones futures together. Its very sweet 💕

Care for You by Jayda Marx is a sweet novella featuring Jake and Miles from the Head Over Wheels series. We have two people mutually pining for each other, assuming that the one couldn’t be into each other — and it’s adorable.

Miles and Jake are put into a forced proximity situation as Miles gets in a car accident, and Jake is there with him every step of the way. Finally these two confess to each other and start to talk about deeper things and planning their lives forward. Lots of sweet caretaking occurs.

However I think it’s a little bit limited with the length of this novella and the fact a lot of the pining and falling for each other was in the first two books as a background. I had this issue with Sam & Jordan by Jayda Marx, where we just didn’t get to see them fall in love which is a shame. That’s why this isn’t as highly rated for me.

Otherwise though, not bad!

Short and sweet, and absolutely loved it. Oh man, I really didn't expect Jake to be this oblivious. I thought he was only a bit and only discovering he was having feelings towards Miles, but didn't know he actually likes him for a while now. And Miles, he's so sweet and even though he thought Jake wouldn't even like him and it will only lead towards heartache, he still didn't gave up. One accident leaves the two of them on close quarters, and reveal their hidden feelings. The epilogue was really lovely and I was gushing while reading it. And of course, we also get to see Finn and Harley still. They're still loving on each other, as usual, but I wouldn't want to change a thing.

Even though I had been warned going in, I had hoped the mutual pining would go on for longer (like multiple nights of them sleeping in the same bed but unable to touch each other??? Sexual tension would be through the ROOF!)

But alas the tension was broken super fast and I was disappointed.

Also not sure if it’s cause I hadn’t read previous books but backstories and characters are kinda 2D and meh

So this was an ok read but didn’t really hit the sweet mutual pining angst sexual tension sweet spot

I enjoyed seeing Finn and Harley again, and diving deeper into Jake and Miles' relationship. This book was no angst and lovely. I recommend starting with Book 1 because the whole series is sweet, hot and made me laugh.

Jake and Miles' story was so cute. I absolutely loved Jake's laid back attitude about sexuality and labels and his caring personality.

It was a short read, but it was definitely worth my time.

This was a sweet, wonderful read. Miles and Jake were friends who had feelings for each other but were afraid to tell the other because they were afraid they'd lose their friendship. Miles is in an accident and needs Jake's care, and they explore their relationship. It was sweet and funny, and the epilogue wrapped up the series perfectly.

Either I haven’t written a review the 1st time I read it a few months ago it or GR deleted it..

Anyway I liked this serie very much and the 3rd book about Jake (Harley’s cousin from book 1 and 2) and Miles ( Fin Harley’s husband best friend) is as good and the 1st two books.

As in all Jayda Marx books : a sweet romance, 0 angst 0 drama, full of cuteness and cheesiness.
Jake who’s supposed to be straight didn’t freak out a bit when he discovered he’s attracted to Miles and have feelings for him, he doesn’t care about sexuality and gender.
He was all in from the beginning when they confessed their feelings for each other.
I was glad to see Harley and sassy Finn make an appearance.

I recommend it

This was just too fast moving and over the top for me. I've had a concussion and there is no way I would want to get frisky the same night I got a concussion, the book kind of lost me after that. I adored the 1st 2 books and liked all the characters in the series, this one just didn't work for me.

This series was so cute. As I said to Jayda I don’t know if it is social distancing or if I’m easily amused but Miles reaction to his hospital trip and the toes scene made me cry with laughter.

Once again cute characters although short story it finished the series well with the last chapter.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books and
Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

Sugary sweet romance

I was so excited to read about Jake and Miles and I'm so happy they got their HEA. This book was a faster read than the first two and didn't have quite the same substance, but was still really sweet. I love that the characters in all these books are so open and accepting - no matter what gender or sexuality or physical shape. I wish the author would have spent a little more time on the relationship between Jake and Miles - especially as Jake's expressed sexual views would be considered Pan. This would have been a great chance to spotlight that a little. I also felt that the epilogue was way to far in the future. We missed a lot of time and experiences that could have made great bonus books later. I guess the author is done with this world for now but I would have gladly read more. Despite that I did enjoy this book and I'm off to grab the next and final book in the series.

The third in this series and just as sweet, simple, and a tiny bit sappy as the others. Where the last two concentrated on Harley and Finn, their meeting, dating, moving in together, wedding, and honeymoon, this one was all about Harleys cousin Jake and Finns friend Miles. They both have feelings for each other but keep it to themselves. Jake considered himself bi but as of yet had not had a relationship with a man, Miles was too scared to say anything, thinking Jake was straight. Reading these two carefully tread around each other was sweet at first, then it became frustrating, they were so scared of losing their friendship. A car accident is what finally pushed them to their limits and all their feelings exploded. It’s sad this series is over, but when I saw the epilogue and it said ‘Ten Years Later’, I thought Blimey! But it was just as sweet and gave us a wrap on all four lovers.

This was a great conclusion to the Head over Wheels series as readers find out exactly what happened to Jake and Miles after the wedding. All I can say is wow wow wow I'll never ever look at toaster strudel the same way again. The fast forward chapter was really great as everything came full circle with Harley, Finn, Miles, and Jake. Harley and Finn are the perfect guncles :) Sad to see this series end but it was a wonderful ride :)

Adorable

Jake and Miles story flowed well in this series with Finn and Harley. They were just as adorable together as they have been individually throughout the series. I was very happy they received their HEA especially after the scene at Harley and Finn’s wedding in book 2.

Read the series

Books one and two introduce us to Harley and his little spitfire Finn. Finn is uber protective of those he loves. That includes Jake and Miles who you get to fall in love with in book 3. The characters have real depth and you'll root for them to get their HEA.
