Banger loved it
Mannnnnnn that ending had real tears coming out my eyes. I could just beat the hell out of Journey for putting herself and her little brother in that situation. Her lil young a$$ have a lot to learn and she out here thinking she grown dealing with no good a$$ Raheem. If this baby don't make it, it would be heartbreaking and I feel like this situation would really force Jerrod to try and take the girls from Takari. Jerrod pissed me off as well because all his mind is on is money and that's sad and to cheat on your wife in y'all house is just so low of him. I love me some Za'Kai he's all man and I could dig that. I can't wait to read part 2 because I know the drama would continue. Great read Diamond you did your thing as usual

Jerrod’s a real jerk and I’m glad that Shrimp left his ass! I still can’t get over what happened to Jaden please let him be ok

Omg i was not ready for that ending at all! Diamond know she know how to make her readers cry. Of course a dope read from her once again. I admire shrimp strength because most women would have stayed in her situation. I cant stand her husbamd he can just croak over. This was a good read it shows how you can be good parents and things still happen. Journey need a beating. Jaden I hope is okay. Shrimp needed to pay more attention to her teenage daughter. Just throw jerrold away. Grandma need camera and motion sensors.

Okay now Diamond... This was a really good read... I definitely had a lot of emotions and thoughts while reading... The only problem I had was when Journey was talking about her cycle... First she said she had it for a year and she missed 4 weeks then a few pages over it said she had it for a month... Just a little confused... But I could not stop reading... The story was just moving a long then you hit me with this cliffhanger that I DID NOT see coming at all... I am all in my feelings will my mouth open... I really can not believe you got me in shock like that then left me hanging... Now I am upset because I have to wait for part 2...
Let me say that this little girl Journey had me all types of pissed off... She is 13 and trying to be grown... Trying to make grown women decisions only to end up with little girl results... I cant believe that she is messing with a 19 year old... I mean she is 13... What is wrong with him... is Raheem that desperate that he needs to mess with a little girl... Little by little Journey's decisions are really starting to effect this family... She does not care because she is young and very naive to the dangerous game she is playing... Now because of her thinking that she knows everything and is sneaking around and hiding things look at what has happened... She knew better but she let her child mind make a decision that could cost her family everything... There is no way out of this... I hope that Raheem has to pay for what he has done to this girl and her family...
Takari was a great mother and a loving and faithful wife... She was beautiful inside and out... She was just stuck in this hopeless marriage to Jerrod... All he cared about is money... He put his business and money before his family then kept throwing it in Takari's face pretty much that she is from the project's and without him she is nothing and will have nothing... He was a piece of work... Not everyone cares about money the way he does... I cant believe that Takari remained in this marriage for so long... I mean he was verbally abusive to her... I just think because he kept threatening her that she will be left with nothing, that she should have been stashing money a long time ago or right before leaving transfer money out of the account... He put her through so much and she was un happy for so long so for him to do what he did really made me mad... Then his mother only made things worse... I didn't like her either.. But then one encounter that Takari had with Za'Kai and things change for her.. Yes it is a rocky meeting but it is really what she needed...
I love Za'kai (aka Bully) I love that he is a great father to his kids and he is legally making money now... He knows how to treat women... He is protective... He is handsome and not out ther being a man whore... I like the friendship that him and Takari have...
I cant wait to see where this relationship between Takari and Za'kai can go... Will Jerrod let Takari get away knowing that she is such an amazing woman... If he decides to move on to this other woman I hope it fails super bad and he sees what he really had with Takari... What will happen with Journey... Will this family recover from what has happened... Will this bring Takari and Jerrod together or will it bring out more drama... Will Za'Kai be able to help Takari though this... Man so many questions that I need answers to... Now to wait for part 2... Please dont let it be to long...

While the storyline did drag, it was interesting. Jerrod... is too many negative words to put into this review.. But he was raised with that mentality due to his non spine having mother growing up. Shrimp.. Finally, FINALLY had enough, after tossing her out and garbage, SHE was a real WOMAN and simply left. Bully may have started off rough, and but he is a stand up guy, who gave Shrimp some great support in getting her and her kids together. Journey not sure where her parents went wrong with her, book smart, and people STUPID, to not know that messing w/a 19 yr old child, who is putting hands to her just because he paid her some attention. She better hope that her brother, Jaden does not pass (that hurt me). Jerrod is going to blame Shrimp for being away.. Part 2 will be read, because several persons need their KARMA... Breshay is doing her, and not chasing after her kids father Bully, and they co-parent well.

Ok soo yes journey needs to be sat down and given Consequences!! But what everyone is missing is that HER PARENTS!! Have yet to confirm they’re new living situation! As Journey has said countless times is that she ANGRY; confused; and as we can all see she making the WRONG DECISIONS back to back! But NO ONE IS TALKING TO HER ABOUT NOTHING!! so she finds attention from else we’re now yea it was the WRONG ATTENTION but she is 13 NOT 31 and SHE BEEN THROWN THAT RESPONSIBILITY OF FIGURING IT OUT FOR SELF!! So while she TOLD TO MIND HER BUSINESS AND STAY OUT OF GROWN FOLKS BUSINESS she doin things the wrong WAY!! Instead of her goin for and being fast to a 13 or 14 year old boy She wants love and affection from a OLDER DUDE CUS HER POPS ANIT TRYNA BE THERR FOR HER LIKE THAT!! She really has nobody to be honest!!!

Ms. Diamond has done it again. She is hands down one of my favorite authors. I love that she writes about Miami because she is usually right dead on with what is happening. Now Kari and Za'Kai just goes together even though they don't know it yet. Honestly I don't like Jerrod cause he an idoit.. he has taken Kari for granted but didn't expect her to move out. He treated like trash and talked all that mess about her but was begging her ro come back. Now Journey little hot self, being like that towards her mom when all she was trying to do was make sure she didn't have to want for anything. Now they in a messed up boat. Hopefully little Jaden ok!! Love Me is prettty intense but I loved it.

January 6, 2019I loved this story about a couple that seemed real with real issues. Jerrod was an acquired taste for takeri I felt so sorry for her but I loved how strong she was even though she cried a lot. I wished she had left jerrod a long time ago. I loved how her and bully finally connected on the same level But her daughter journey has not listened to her Aunt Skye that was telling her she doesn’t think about how her actions will hurt other people and it has got people killed at the end of part 2. I know there’s gonna be a part 3 because there is much more about the story that is left hanging. This review is for both books so far.

Journey is something else with her fast tail. Kari had every right to leave but if I ever got married I wouldn't be signing a prenup because from what her husband was doing it wasn't right. He made sure to keep throwing up in her face that's he owned everything and she would get nothing. As husband and wife no matter who owns what you should want you kids to still be taken care of and not have to struggle. I hope everything goes while with Kari. I pray that Jaden is okay because if not Journey is definitely got somethings to answer for and karma is going to get her big time.

Omg Diamond you never disappoint drama always is top notch in your books. Takari deserves to be happy and Jerrod is a snob and for judgemental and manipulative person likes to dangle what he has done for his wife over her head. I hope Za'Kai can change things in Kari life for the better. Raheem is a snake and likes to take advantage of young girls and Journey oz young and dumb her own brother tries to save her but that may end up costing him his life. That storyline hits home though cause you hear about it so much a grown man taking advantage of kids. Jerrod is a piece of boo-boo can’t believe he did his wife that way smh. That’s why you can’t let certain men tell you not to work cause they use it to their advantage. I’m gonna need Bully to come through and save my girl ASAP. Lawd who shot the baby though?!

Decent book
The book was good but there were parts where a character would make a statement and the author would write such a looooong background history afterwards where I would forget what the character had even said so I would have to go back. Also, I had to skip a bunch of parts that were just dragging. There were quite a few errors as well, but other than that I’m looking forward to part 2.

Jerrod was too arrogant and cocky to the point he disgusted me. I see why Takari was snapping on him. What the both of them didn't realize. While their marriage is on the rocks. Their daughter is being sneaky. Journey little hot behind should have known her sneaky ways would catch up to her but some reason she still haven't learned. Tragedy has struck and left me speechless.

I tried not read it...
I tried not to read this because I know Ms. Johnson is the queen of cliffhangers. I just knew my heart was gone hurt for part 2 and it's not time yet. I liked the speed of this book. It's a lot going on, but feels like it's not happening fast enough, lol. Diamond Johnson's writing gets better with each book. I look forward to the next installment!

I think that I have been introduced to my two least favorite characters ever!!! Journey and her father have so far to come to even be redeemable to me! I know she’s a baby but maybe I just see so much of my own daughter in her! The story is so relatable and well told I can’t wait for the second part!

This was a good read. I've read a lot of books by this author, and I feel like she's expanding her character plots a lot, which I love. I do wish she would get unstuck from this obsession she seems to have with "good hair" and mullato blacks though. Everybody doesn't have to be mixed or have long natural hair to be beautiful.
