Maurice was a no
I didn’t like this man. Autumn seemed so weak for him that no matter how HORRIBLE his mistakes, and they we terrible, she meekly took him back. The gloating he did internally when he found out she hadnt slept with anyone since him annoyed my soul. Like he was congratulating himself for messing her up so badly she shut down. Autumn deserved so much better. As soon as times got bad he reverted back to being selfish.

Oh I am a certified Tay Monae stan. For real. Autumn and Maurice are young and in love. Ego and dishonesty tear them apart, but they find a way back together. I love a man that knows how to apologize. His devotion to his daughter and his coparenting were A+. Autumn was vulnerable and sweet. I love her honesty and her fight. They were adorable honestly.

A second chance at love 🤔
I did not like Maurice because of the wya he hurt Autumn and then just pops up on her five years later. Autumn claimed she was so over Maurice and couldn’t get past the hurt and betrayal but was just too forgiving when he walked back in her life.
Some ppl just aren’t worthy of a second chance and I don’t know if I could have forgiven him and let him back in. The good thing about this is it’s fiction and an escape from reality. As much as I was against her giving in to Maurice I actually enjoyed watching them find their way back to each other.
Maurice getting hurt had me side eyeing him again because of the way he was pushing Autumn away and one phone call from his baby mama gave him this sense of clarity that he should’ve been able to get from his wife. Anywho cute little love story and the little glimpse into the lives of Fatima and Ahmad was everything I absolutely loved their story. I’m looking forward to reading Isabella and Neal’s story now.

Autumn was truly a hopeless romantic and I understood why she reacted the way she did seeing Maurice. He was definitely being selfish and playing games when he could've easily been real with Autumn. Autumn's heartbreak helped him to realize he couldn't go around breaking hearts and doing what he wanted because of his status. I was all for Autumn not allowing Maurice the chance to possibly do her wrong again because he needed to work for her trust. Maddy was just adorable and I enjoyed the relationship Kyra and Maurice shared. Now when Maurice got hurt he was everything but a child of God for how he was treating Autumn. Ahmad came through with good advice as well as Kyra. In the end the love Autumn and Maurice shared outweighed any obstacle they once faced.

Great Story!
Yesssssss!!!!! I really wanted to read Autumn's story! Next she was such a hopeful romantic for those around her, I had to know what happened to her own love. That Maurice really messed up when they were together the first time. Was like that Love & Basketball scene only worse. But I can admit it's probably very accurate to what college ballers on the road to being pro experience. I liked that Maurice committed himself to winning Autumn back. I loved that Autumn was so loving and accepting of Maddy. I enjoy Autumn and Maurice's journey! I also loved seeing faves Ahmad & Fatima again. Can't wait until I can read Neal and Isabella's story!

This standalone is lit. I’m glad Maurice and autumn got their life back straight and became one. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Enduring Love
So happy Autumn got her happy ending with Maurice. He was young and his ego got in way but he got it together and wifed up Autumn. The relationship with Kyra his daughter mom is the way co- parenting should be. Great read!

These two had cause to look at love with jaded eyes but they never saw that chance to start over again coming.
Nursing old wounds while the other is nursing childhood abandonment wounds had them weary but I love hpw Ahmand let's love in without knowing and how Fatima finds him a companion she isn't running from despite it starting to look like a whole relationship is easing in.

Wavering...
I'm wavering in my feelings for this one. First he did her SOOO dirty. Then, he pops back up in her life expecting her to forgive, because there is no forgetting what he did to her.. Then as soon as tragedy hits, he treats her like a dog and BASICALLY turned to another female to see the error in his ways before apologizing.

I’ve loved Autumn from the beginning with her hopeless romantic butt! I’m not going to lie and say the I was not ready to ride out on Maurice at the beginning of this dang book!! I’m just glad he was able to mend what he broke in the first place. Great read, I really enjoyed this book.

Cute
This was a cute story but Autumn gave into easy both times. Maurice was an@$$ to her in college. Then he realized he didn’t know what he had until she was gone and five years and. Kid later he wants her back which was fine but she gave in way too easy. Then he treated her bad after Vegas….nah she should have made him sweat a bit. But it was still a cute story.

Experiencing Maurice’s betrayal and Autumn’s heartbreak in real time was hard and I admit I was still 😒 Maurice when he reappeared on the scene but enjoyed watching these two find their way back in love and beyond. Cute story!

This was a good read
I like the book I like the characters. I really think Autumn should have gave Maurice more of a harder time she seemed more like a doormat. I don't like that since I really loved her character in the first book. Otherwise this was a quick good easy read.
