*** STANDALONE NOVEL! ***It took many years for 35-year-old Trish to finally admit that her marriage was dead and the man she had married was one big ass. Now, determined to restart her life, she relocates back to Atlanta. While there, she began making money buying and selling real estate...and then came Brayden.Trish was shocked to find the awkward boy she recalled from her youth had grown into the handsome, rich man with the Barry White voice. His eyes spoke a promise of fulfilling her every sexual desire but there was one problem. He was white, which was new to her. And, even if she decided to try something new, what she doesn't know is that Brayden has a secret that he doesn't want her to find out about. From the day Trish walked into the gym with her three children, Brayden had set his sights on making her his. All he had to do was wait for the right opportunity to put his plan into motion. With every meeting, every date, every touch, he found himself wanting Trish more and more, although she resisted. Will he be able to hold on to her and the love he's found after she finds out the truth about him? Will she walk away? Or will she love Brayden against all odds?'
Listen... when he told her to "get her ass in the car" I knew I had fallen in love. He was so flipping smooth with it... I mean I would have jumped my ass up so quick to get in that car... or maybe I would have just went for the spanking.... either way some shit would popped off is what I am saying lol.
It all made a little sense at the end, but this book could have been written better. It was choppy and awkward at times. Brayden's family dynamics was weird. The issues Trish had with race felt forced. I liked Brayden tho.
I can see what the author was trying to do, but she didn't quite get there. There are some laugh out loud moments but not enough for me rate the book higher. A conversation between the Hero's parents was hilarious but not much else. Loved some of the things the Hero said but his alpha-maleness was hit or miss for me, the balance was off. Lastly, there were characters introduced toward the end of the book that came out of left field and had no reason to be in the book. I do love the book covers from this publisher.
I think this book was really enjoyable could have been a little longer should have should them having there baby. But I love when i read a good book just don't want it to end.
Brayden was a sweet sexy beast. He started his relationship with Trish for all the wrong reasons but very early on saw the error of his ways. He knew that she was wife material and started to lay the ground work. One of the areas I wished the author had explored more was their connection from high school. Trish noted that while his voice was sexy when they were in school it took his body a while to catch up. There are also people in the story that I should know from previous books so I will have to go backwards...especially Calico and Andreas. Like all secrets the reason Brayden initially pursued Trish comes out at a very inopportune moment but Brayden DOES not allow her to walk away or to send him away. He makes her listen. Wow. Good stuff.
One of the best books I’ve ever read. To say I loved Brayden would be an true statement. I appreciated his candor and honesty with Trish…and his words and actions spoke volumes of his love for her. Even though her ex husband was a jerk and did a number on her emotionally, she was able to finally give herself and even marry Brayden. Brayden’s mother, if you can call her that, was a terrible, controlling person but Trish showed her that she was no one to fool with!
This book was okay.. Just kind of blah..Trish is a divorced mother of two and Braydon is also a divorced dad. They meet and sparks fly...I guess. I mean, I don't know why there's strong pull between them. Author doesn't really build that part up. Basically, she's got hangups because he's white and he relentlessly pursues her and she can't deny her attraction to him and well, you know the rest. Your basic cat and mouse type of story. It's a quick read so I won't say it's a complete waste of time, but it's not great so definitely keep your expectations in check.
Because this was short, I expected a skipped mess. This was really good. You made her a strong woman. I was proud as if this was real life. You had everything in here and just right. You made him a strong man that said what he meant and meant what he said. He still supported her and she supported him unknowingly. I am glad she didn't let his mama run over her and he didn't care if her family liked him or not. I loved this book. I might become a fan again.
Brayden was a man on a mission to at first get vengeance against a old classmate, but once he saw Trish up close...Plans changed. Trish a divorced mom and flipping houses, knew Brayden from the past but not this new Alpha Brayden. A deal is made between them and to intertwine their feelings as work relationship. Brayden and Trish have chemistry , Trish just needs to get out of her head. Good story, drama and HEA🔥💖
I love it when an author reads my mind and tells the love story of characters mentioned in previous novels. Even more when the story is good. Thanks for Trish and Brays story and building their connections to not only one couple but multiple couples. It’s good to get an update on previous couples.
I got 33% in to give it a chance, but I just couldn’t get into it. It was overtly sexual. Unnecessarily! Whenever they speak, it’s sexual. They are around each other, it’s sexual. It was too much. Both MC were annoying in their own right as well. I had hope for the book, but that was quickly dashed.
Who doesn't love a guy that's good with his hands? Brayden was the whole package and then some. I absolutely loved his character. Hands down, Another great story Ms. Gray .
I’m so in love with this book. The fact the woman is in her late 30’s speaks volumes to me. I felt every feeling of Trish. She has a failed marriage and kids and she such a force to be reckoned with.
Everything word was perfectly time and filthy to the 10th power. A definite page turner and quick read. Reading this story was well worth my time and imagination.
I enjoyed this book, and the characters were very entertaining. The storyline was interesting and full of plot twists. The chemistry between the main l9ve characters was smoking hot 🔥!
Out of all of Ms. Gray's books, by far, this is the best I've read! This characters came off the page and were as real as ever! Brayden and Trish are good together! A True power couple!
This was the first book I read by this author. This is a story about a young man who wanted revenge for what happened to his sister. Trish ex-husband did something horrible to Brayden's sister. His plan was to make his ex-wife pay for ex error. However, it didn't go as planned. He want more from Trisha.
Loved it! I like that the H/h are mature (read over 30). I like that they she is a not a damsel in distress...well not any more than most of us. I like the H...he's an alpha...not an a--. I like the pace, the chemistry, the plot and the HEA. Good secondary characters and overall great read. Thanks Ms. Gray!
It was nice to get the filler and background on Trish and Braydon from the other books, but nothing stellar. Still a for questions left unanswered. What was the final result with Braydon's mom? Did Trish's ex-husband decide to see his kids? And the author is still in need of an editor.
I love every single book you write. I love Brayden and Trish together. They have great chemistry together. Happy they got married. Looking forward to reading your next book.
They had great chemistry. I thought the high school back story could have been developed better even if it was just in his thoughts. Or a conversation with a family member. Not a bad read.
This book right hear had me, Engaged! From beginning to the end. I reread portions of it and I couldn't let go. Great strong characters, awesome plot and the tension between Bray and Trish was palpable. Great job Christine 💗
