Oh forreal Mickey? We just gonna end it like that?
This was good. This book puts all the chess pieces on the board and opens the game. I think book 2 is when stuff starts moving.
SOME SPOILERS AHEAD...YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
I am VERY curious to know what Kate has up her sleeve. We already know what she did. So I'm interested in how things are going to unravel for the characters and the readers.
I will say I was a little annoyed with how EVERY character had numerous connections with other characters that it didn't seem like would be the case in real life. Mia was mentored by the father of the man accused of killing Vanessa, who was married to Ervin, who was best friends with Michael, the accused, who was married to Jacqueline, who is now dating Jackson, who is Mia's ex husband's brother, who knows Ervin and Kate, who was secretly in love with Vanessa, who is Sean's sister, who was dating Mia and cheating on her with Kate...and so on. I understand there is a reason for it and the book was still good, but the connections aggravated me for some reason.
Ervin and Mia... I'm anxious for them to get together. I like their chemistry.

And Mia Throne wants just the American Dream. Home, And happy Family life. She is not getting that with Sean.
One night of passion between Mis and Ervin has them rethinking thier Animosity for each other.
Will thier new found Love stand, or will the plot that Kate is cooking up ene it.
Mickey Black never disappoint with her Sensational stories. Can't wait for the installment of this series

Man what???
From start to finish this book had my attention and it never let it go! This is my first read by this author and I’m glad I read it! This was a very intense read and with each turn of the page it kept you wanting to read more and more! These characters were something serious! If you love a book filled with secrets, revenge and plot twists then this is a must read! Now on to book 2!

This book would make a great lifetime movie!
This was my first reading a book by this author. I was captivated from the start. Now Mia’s character did get on my nerves, which is typical for me because I hate overthinking. Also, I didn’t like how Mia was so quick to leave her child with her secretary but wanted to keep him from Ervin. All in all, I love the mixture of suspense and romance.

Standing Ovation!!!
Best book that I’ve read in the past few weeks. Loved it from beginning to end. There wasn’t a boring or filler part in this entire book. I loved that Mia was strong both in and out of the courtroom and Ervin wasn’t clouded by pain so much he missed his blessings. This is why I LOVE suspense, your always trying to figure out The who, why and how and this book gave me everything. Book was well written. Mr. Black you just made yourself a new fan.

This story was so engaging and suspenseful. Some points were not consistent but it was a good book. This was my first book by this author and I plan to read more by her. Need some work on editing.

The story was a mystery with clues that unfold before the story ends. A man was accused of killing his wife and later framed by unlikely sources. His attorney had a hand in helping the man reclaim his life.

Absolutely loved it!
This enemies to romance novel proved that love can definitely conquer all. Mia and Ervin went through so much to be together, but got their happy ending in the end. Mia had that Black Girls Rock going on with her no nonsense defense going on. This is my first read by this author, but I’m ready to read more.
